he_o till_o they_o feel_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n work_v in_o their_o heart_n and_o that_o will_v stir_v they_o to_o continual_a prayer_n but_o the_o wicked_a want_n faith_n to_o go_v in_o the_o name_n of_o christ_n and_o this_o be_v the_o cause_n there_o be_v so_o many_o wicked_a prayer_n in_o the_o world_n for_o they_o that_o make_v they_o have_v no_o faith_n in_o christ_n and_o without_o he_o they_o have_v no_o promise_n to_o be_v hear_v and_o therefore_o want_v faith_n to_o come_v to_o christ_n they_o go_v to_o the_o saint_n to_o pray_v for_o they_o and_o yet_o the_o saint_n do_v never_o promise_v they_o so_o to_o do_v neither_o do_v they_o know_v whether_o the_o saint_n hear_v they_o or_o no._n again_o some_o pray_v in_o latin_a when_o they_o do_v not_o underderstand_v what_o they_o say_v nor_o what_o they_o pray_v for_o but_o the_o holy_a ghost_n say_v pray_v with_o the_o spirit_n and_o pray_v with_o the_o understanding_n also_o 1.4.15_o why_o say_v they_o god_n know_v our_o heart_n we_o pray_v with_o the_o heart_n god_n know_v indeed_o that_o their_o heart_n be_v vain_a and_o foolish_a because_o they_o do_v not_o pray_v with_o understanding_n and_o therefore_o they_o have_v no_o promise_n to_o be_v hear_v &_o yet_o they_o will_v have_v a_o pair_n of_o bead_n and_o tell_v how_o many_o prayer_n they_o say_v though_o they_o can_v tell_v what_o they_o say_v i_o word_n of_o god_n they_o pray_v also_o to_o our_o lady_n to_o help_v they_o much_o as_o the_o israelite_n pray_v to_o the_o queen_n of_o heaven_n and_o as_o the_o israelite_n prayer_n be_v accept_v so_o be_v they_o but_o i_o pray_v god_n for_o christ_n sake_n that_o you_o nor_o none_o of_o you_o may_v make_v such_o prayer_n and_o i_o pray_v god_n to_o bless_v his_o whole_a church_n that_o their_o prayer_n may_v be_v right_a and_o faithful_a for_o prayer_n be_v the_o key_n which_o open_v unto_o virtue_n oh_o lord_n let_v not_o our_o prayer_n be_v turn_v into_o sin_n for_o then_o the_o promise_n to_o be_v hear_v and_o it_o show_v that_o they_o be_v not_o enlighten_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n to_o see_v the_o way_n to_o christ_n and_o they_o themselves_o will_v confess_v thet_o they_o dare_v not_o go_v to_o christ_n which_o show_v that_o they_o have_v no_o faith_n to_o believe_v his_o promise_n nor_o will_v to_o obey_v his_o word_n for_o christ_n say_v 11.28_o come_v unto_o always_o have_v your_o prayer_n ascend_v to_o the_o almighty_a god_n to_o desire_v he_o to_o send_v the_o shower_n of_o his_o grace_n into_o your_o heart_n that_o the_o seed_n of_o his_o word_n may_v god_n it_o be_v not_o among_o preacher_n now_o as_o well_o as_o i_o can_v i_o will_v explain_v it_o unto_o you_o it_o be_v a_o overmuch_a care_n of_o those_o thing_n which_o a_o man_n may_v lawful_o use_v for_o man_n be_v earth_n those_o earthly_a thing_n bear_v much_o sway_n in_o his_o mind_n and_o especial_o because_o they_o carry_v the_o name_n of_o lawful_a and_o so_o they_o make_v a_o man_n forget_v the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o neglect_v the_o duty_n of_o prayer_n the_o which_o two_o thing_n be_v overslip_v he_o lose_v the_o promise_n of_o the_o gospel_n which_o be_v a_o everlasting_a kiugdome_n and_o that_o it_o be_v thus_o i_o will_v make_v it_o more_o plain_a unto_o you_o because_o i_o hope_v god_n will_v give_v you_o grace_n to_o shun_v it_o which_o i_o desire_v you_o may_v the_o appointment_n of_o the_o h._n ghost_n he_o be_v think_v of_o some_o earthly_a thing_n or_o other_o either_o of_o this_o bargain_n or_o that_o purchase_n or_o such_o like_a when_o oftentimes_o he_o may_v be_v much_o more_o happy_a to_o be_v without_o it_o and_o i_o think_v he_o that_o can_v think_v of_o heaven_n &_o have_v it_o be_v well_o enough_o but_o these_o kind_n of_o people_n will_v so_o by_o this_o heavenly_a word_n of_o god_n you_o shall_v comfort_v your_o soul_n make_v they_o strong_a in_o faith_n and_o grow_v in_o true_a godliness_n and_o final_o preserve_v they_o with_o great_a joy_n to_o everlasting_a life_n through_o faith_n in_o christ_n whereas_o if_o you_o desire_v any_o food_n for_o your_o soul_n that_o be_v not_o in_o the_o write_a word_n of_o god_n your_o soul_n die_v with_o it_o even_o in_o your_o heart_n and_o mouth_n even_o as_o they_o that_o desire_v other_o food_n 11.3_o die_v with_o it_o in_o their_o mouth_n be_v it_o never_o so_o dainty_a so_o thyself_o obedient_a to_o he_o and_o all_o thy_o care_n in_o thy_o labour_n must_v be_v how_o to_o please_v he_o and_o leave_v the_o success_n of_o thy_o labour_n to_o he_o and_o thou_o must_v be_v careful_a in_o thy_o labour_n that_o thou_o take_v no_o care_n for_o thy_o own_o profit_n nor_o thou_o own_o pleasure_n but_o how_o to_o please_v god_n and_o then_o let_v it_o please_v thou_o but_o be_v sure_a it_o please_v not_o thou_o and_o offend_v god_n and_o thus_o thou_o must_v labour_v six_o day_n and_o follow_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n and_o his_o example_n after_o who_o image_n thou_o be_v make_v and_o who_o thou_o be_v to_o imitate_v he_o labour_v and_o make_v in_o six_o day_n these_o thing_n for_o thou_o labour_v thou_o to_o obey_v he_o he_o labour_v and_o look_v over_o his_o work_n and_o see_v it_o be_v good_a so_o thou_o must_v labour_v and_o look_v over_o thy_o work_n and_o see_v that_o it_o be_v good_a before_o god_n though_o there_o be_v many_o imperfection_n in_o thou_o yet_o because_o thou_o be_v reconcile_v to_o god_n in_o christ_n and_o now_o show_v thy_o humble_a obedience_n to_o his_o commandment_n that_o thou_o will_v neither_o be_v idle_a nor_o yet_o labour_v for_o thy_o own_o profit_n nor_o pleasure_n nor_o do_v thy_o own_o way_n but_o see_v that_o thou_o do_v those_o thing_n that_o he_o have_v appoint_v thou_o take_z hold_v of_o christ_n by_o faith_n he_o accept_v they_o for_o good_a through_o christ_n who_o have_v fulfil_v all_o for_o thou_o for_o obedience_n be_v better_a than_o sacrifice_n 22._o then_o also_o thou_o must_v rest_v the_o seven_o day_n for_o so_o for_o thy_o ensample_n he_o rest_v &_o command_v thou_o to_o rest_v that_o day_n and_o to_o keep_v it_o holy_a to_o the_o lord_n now_o he_o command_v thou_o to_o leave_v all_o earthly_a business_n and_o attend_v upon_o he_o and_o hear_v what_o further_a instruction_n he_o have_v for_o thou_o how_o to_o strengthen_v thy_o faith_n how_o to_o take_v hold_n on_o christ_n and_o how_o to_o come_v to_o his_o kingdom_n now_o thy_o care_n must_v be_v how_o to_o learn_v at_o his_o mouth_n to_o keep_v his_o commandment_n
