and_o so_o christ_n by_o virtue_n of_o his_o blood_n shed_v but_o neither_o t._n m._n nor_o any_o of_o we_o make_v the_o present_a be_v of_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n or_o simple_o its_o material_a substance_n the_o foundation_n of_o faith_n and_o therefore_o they_o play_v the_o sophister_n in_o what_o they_o say_v and_o whereas_o they_o say_v that_o we_o now_o tell_v they_o that_o his_o blood_n be_v shed_v or_o pour_v out_o for_o the_o remission_n of_o our_o sin_n and_o in_o the_o virtue_n of_o it_o be_v with_o the_o father_n and_o so_o in_o and_o with_o christ_n they_o say_v herein_o we_o confute_v ourselves_o but_o in_o what_o that_o we_o can_v not_o assert_v where_o the_o material_a blood_n namely_o that_o issue_v out_o of_o his_o side_n be_v and_o yet_o we_o say_v that_o the_o represent_v it_o in_o our_o narrative_n as_o the_o answer_n we_o give_v what_o move_v they_o else_o to_o dispute_v against_o the_o virtue_n of_o christ_n blood_n be_v separable_a from_o its_o substance_n if_o we_o do_v not_o so_o answer_v and_o our_o answer_n then_o will_v not_o satisfy_v which_o it_o seem_v now_o do_v because_o they_o can_v give_v a_o better_a so_o that_o g._n w._n and_o that_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n be_v not_o simple_o the_o foundation_n we_o add_v but_o christ_n himself_o by_o virtue_n of_o it_o as_o it_o be_v shed_v for_o we_o and_o he_o raise_v from_o the_o which_o we_o disprove_v from_o john_n 17._o 20._o act_n 17._o 11_o 12._o they_o allege_v that_o no_o scripture_n say_v the_o scripture_n be_v the_o medium_fw-la of_o faith_n reply_n nor_o say_v they_o they_o believe_v which_o imply_v their_o search_v the_o scripture_n and_o find_v they_o to_o agree_v with_o the_o apostle_n word_n be_v a_o medium_fw-la or_o mean_v of_o their_o ready_a believe_v but_o of_o those_o word_n urge_v by_o we_o they_o take_v no_o notice_n they_o can_v once_o and_o again_o make_v something_o of_o there_o when_o it_o signify_v nothing_o but_o hereof_o but_o hereof_o 1_o 2._o etc._n etc._n their_o confound_v the_o author_n with_o the_o medium_fw-la be_v a_o piece_n of_o their_o confusion_n though_o christ_n be_v the_o author_n of_o faith_n and_o bring_v to_o they_o say_v we_o may_v as_o well_o have_v accuse_v christ_n and_o the_o apostle_n but_o mention_v not_o one_o say_v of_o they_o that_o jump_v with_o their_o doctrine_n for_o though_o christ_n say_v i_o be_o the_o light_n of_o the_o world_n yet_o he_o say_v not_o every_o man_n in_o the_o world_n have_v i_o or_o my_o light_n in_o he_o and_o that_o be_v it_o that_o reprove_v and_o check_v they_o faith_n yea_o and_o here_o they_o show_v their_o corruption_n in_o say_v that_o the_o faith_n they_o own_o they_o know_v the_o word_n of_o it_o to_o be_v in_o the_o heart_n they_o mean_v before_o outward_a preach_v hear_v and_o that_o they_o have_v it_o not_o to_o fetch_v from_o beyond_o the_o sea_n nor_o from_o above_o nor_o from_o beneath_o but_o it_o be_v nigh_o in_o the_o heart_n and_o in_o the_o mouth_n refuse_v still_o to_o take_v notice_n of_o what_o follow_v though_o with_o that_o we_o charge_v they_o in_o our_o book_n and_o show_v from_o what_o follow_v the_o scope_n of_o the_o apostle_n therein_o and_o how_o it_o favour_v not_o their_o corrupt_a conception_n which_o here_o they_o have_v clear_o pass_v over_o as_o not_o dare_v to_o meddle_v with_o it_o we_o refer_v the_o reader_n then_o to_o what_o our_o book_n say_v about_o it_o as_o be_v leave_v unanswered_a by_o they_o that_o the_o light_n wherewith_o christ_n light_v every_o man_n be_v both_o natural_a and_o spiritual_a in_o diverse_a stream_n of_o it_o we_o say_v and_o explicate_v large_o which_o here_o they_o dissemble_v here_o they_o cavil_v that_o we_o call_v not_o the_o light_n he_o lighten_v man_n with_o light_n but_o light_n if_o a_o man_n shall_v ask_v what_o peace_n god_n be_v author_n of_o and_o we_o shall_v say_v of_o all_o true_a and_o good_a peace_n both_o temporal_a and_o eternal_a namely_o for_o society_n or_o congregation_n of_o distinct_a person_n unite_v and_o gather_v other_o under_o one_o head_n or_o governor_n and_o his_o have_v they_o be_v understand_v in_o the_o second_o sense_n of_o have_v mention_v namely_o by_o donation_n and_o covenant_n as_o his_o church_n or_o spouse_n then_o to_o the_o question_n we_o further_o answer_v that_o in_o such_o a_o sense_n he_o have_v one_o body_n and_o no_o more_o forasmuch_o as_o he_o the_o head_n and_o husband_n to_o who_o be_v join_v spiritual_o and_o by_o faith_n they_o be_v of_o his_o mystical_a body_n be_v but_o make_v perfect_a be_v but_o one_o body_n of_o christ_n in_o that_o sense_n of_o the_o word_n body_n as_o eph._n 4._o 4._o with_o 1_o cor._n 12._o 12_o 13._o with_o ephes_n 2._o 18._o 22._o heb._n
