save_a truth_n will_v tell_v we_o that_o we_o may_v read_v of_o a_o natural_a theology_n but_o of_o a_o natural_a christianity_n no_o where_o this_o be_v reveal_v by_o a_o new_a way_n hence_o the_o jew_n stumble_v at_o it_o and_o the_o greek_n deride_v it_o as_o inconsistent_a with_o their_o philosophical_a and_o natural_a principle_n the_o world_n by_o their_o wisdom_n know_v not_o god_n how_o then_o can_v the_o light_n of_o nature_n discover_v a_o christ_n it_o be_v not_o by_o wisdom_n of_o the_o world_n but_o the_o foolishness_n of_o preach_v that_o he_o save_v man_n and_o that_o the_o preach_n by_o man_n not_o the_o heaven_n for_o this_o last_o preach_v involve_v the_o wisdom_n of_o the_o world_n but_o because_o he_o will_v leave_v no_o stone_n unturned_a he_o by_o way_n of_o concession_n thus_o say_v suppose_v it_o can_v discover_v a_o christ_n in_o such_o particularity_n as_o now_o under_o the_o gospel_n yet_o it_o can_v be_v deny_v but_o that_o it_o may_v so_o far_o discover_v he_o as_o that_o a_o man_n may_v be_v rational_o persuade_v through_o he_o to_o depend_v upon_o god_n for_o the_o pardon_n of_o his_o sin_n and_o salvation_n but_o this_o be_v mere_a trifle_a for_o we_o say_v that_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n alone_o be_v unable_a not_o only_o to_o discover_v a_o christ_n in_o particularity_n but_o at_o all_o and_o upon_o that_o ground_n no_o man_n can_v be_v persuade_v to_o depend_v upon_o god_n through_o he_o for_o thus_o suppose_v that_o a_o man_n know_v that_o christ_n be_v it_o be_v strange_a that_o he_o shall_v recede_v from_o the_o first_o position_n and_o suppose_v that_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n do_v not_o and_o can_v not_o discover_v that_o such_o a_o man_n as_o christ_n ever_o be_v and_o yet_o to_o suppose_v that_o by_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n a_o man_n may_v be_v persuade_v to_o depend_v upon_o god_n for_o life_n through_o christ_n but_o he_o attempt_v to_o prove_v that_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n do_v discover_v so_o much_o as_o that_o man_n may_v be_v so_o rational_o persuade_v to_o depend_v on_o god_n through_o christ_n for_o life_n and_o this_o he_o prove_v by_o two_o argument_n 1._o his_o first_o argument_n be_v from_o the_o jew_n who_o he_o say_v the_o sum_n of_o what_o they_o believe_v concern_v christ_n be_v this_o that_o god_n have_v find_v out_o a_o way_n and_o please_v himself_o
