for_o their_o folly_n by_o preach_v &_o forsake_v their_o fashion_n of_o the_o world_n to_o be_v new_o fashion_v in_o their_o mind_n that_o in_o stead_n of_o infidelity_n wherewith_o the_o most_o of_o that_o crew_n be_v infect_v they_o may_v have_v faith_n engraft_v in_o they_o by_o hear_v the_o gospel_n lest_o as_o they_o consume_v their_o purse_n they_o condemn_v their_o soul_n neither_o can_v same_o to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n the_o gospel_n of_o christ_n be_v not_o like_o other_o profession_n that_o when_o they_o have_v most_o follower_n one_o mar_v another_o trade_n but_o when_o all_o man_n if_o it_o be_v possible_a shall_v be_v join_v to_o the_o lord_n in_o the_o profession_n of_o the_o truth_n then_o be_v the_o glory_n thereof_o great_a than_o the_o brightness_n of_o the_o sun_n to_o a_o common_a wealth_n then_o also_o it_o may_v easy_o follow_v that_o in_o like_a case_n they_o deserve_v the_o lose_n of_o their_o ear_n which_o will_v not_o lend_v they_o to_o the_o lord_n preacher_n this_o i_o speak_v not_o to_o make_v any_o civil_a constitution_n but_o compare_v sin_n with_o sin_n i_o will_v glad_o manifest_v the_o great_a evil_a that_o hang_v on_o their_o neck_n which_o have_v their_o elbow_n as_o ready_a to_o hear_v as_o their_o ear_n most_o lamentable_a it_o be_v to_o consider_v that_o if_o they_o be_v all_o deaf_a that_o will_v not_o hear_v our_o sermon_n what_o a_o deaf_a world_n will_v this_o quick_o prove_v o_o my_o belove_a brethren_n know_v you_o not_o that_o hear_n be_v the_o sense_n of_o obedience_n and_o therefore_o you_o can_v justify_v crush_a it_o very_o small_a do_v mingle_v it_o with_o his_o seed_n and_o then_o cast_v it_o into_o the_o earth_n and_o it_o prosper_v exceed_o even_o so_o dear_o belove_v if_o you_o mingle_v not_o the_o pure_a earth_n of_o a_o sound_a faith_n with_o the_o seed_n of_o the_o lord_n word_n you_o shall_v never_o receive_v any_o profit_n by_o our_o preach_n and_o this_o be_v the_o very_a cause_n that_o the_o gospel_n grow_v not_o man_n heart_n tremble_v not_o and_o their_o life_n amend_v not_o because_o they_o bring_v mind_n full_a of_o infidelity_n unto_o the_o congregation_n the_o close_a papist_n say_v to_o himself_o i_o will_v hear_v this_o preacher_n but_o i_o will_v believe_v nothing_o that_o he_o utter_v contrary_a to_o my_o first_o receive_v superstition_n the_o proud_a man_n lose_v that_o you_o take_v therein_o oh_o how_o lamentable_a and_o damnable_a a_o sin_n be_v infidelity_n when_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n be_v not_o believe_v and_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n be_v abuse_v but_o this_o greeve_v all_o godly_a heart_n to_o the_o quick_a that_o even_o in_o our_o day_n and_o time_n there_o shall_v be_v such_o that_o as_o a_o godly_a father_n say_v be_v arm_v with_o the_o name_n of_o good_a christian_n &_o yet_o fight_v against_o the_o faith_n of_o true_a believer_n look_v upon_o it_o in_o time_n lest_o as_o death_n follow_v sickness_n through_o want_n of_o physic_n so_o the_o death_n of_o your_o soul_n follow_v their_o sickness_n through_o want_n of_o faith_n believe_v say_v christ_n and_o all_o thing_n be_v possible_a the_o dead_a have_v be_v raise_v by_o faith_n the_o sick_a have_v be_v relieve_v by_o faith_n the_o mountain_n may_v be_v remoove_v by_o faith_n and_o the_o devil_n himself_o be_v drive_v away_o by_o faith_n therefore_o bring_v faith_n with_o you_o unto_o the_o hear_n of_o the_o sermon_n the_o scripture_n be_v the_o lord_n word_n and_o they_o be_v set_v to_o sale_n by_o the_o preach_n of_o the_o minister_n themselves_o be_v his_o factor_n faith_n must_v buy_v they_o as_o money_n do_v or_o be_v exchange_v for_o they_o as_o one_o thing_n be_v for_o another_o for_o there_o be_v no_o credit_v upon_o word_n no_o obligation_n upon_o day_n that_o can_v get_v they_o from_o we_o but_o present_a payment_n of_o a_o lively_a faith_n therefore_o if_o any_o will_v know_v how_o to_o hear_v the_o gospel_n with_o profit_n and_o to_o suffer_v no_o start_a hole_n of_o infidelity_n to_o carry_v our_o soul_n from_o the_o rock_n of_o god_n his_o truth_n into_o the_o sea_n of_o heathenish_a security_n or_o endless_a adversity_n o_o exalt_v above_o other_o have_v also_o a_o charge_n above_o other_o that_o every_o one_o walk_v worthy_a of_o his_o profession_n which_o be_v only_o by_o study_v and_o hear_v the_o word_n of_o the_o will_v and_o command_v we_o from_o heaven_n to_o hear_v his_o son_n and_o it_o shall_v so_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o the_o soul_n shall_v be_v cut_v off_o from_o the_o lord_n people_n that_o have_v faith_n or_o sweet_a love_n some_o again_o love_n but_o they_o want_v knowledge_n and_o so_o some_o have_v a_o good_a will_n to_o the_o gospel_n but_o they_o want_v memory_n for_o the_o amend_v of_o all_o this_o follow_v my_o direction_n confer_v and_o you_o shall_v have_v memory_n read_v and_o you_o shall_v have_v knowledge_n hear_v and_o you_o shall_v have_v faith_n pray_v often_o and_o you_o shall_v have_v all_o good_a affection_n all_o which_o must_v be_v do_v before_o you_o can_v be_v save_v the_o first_o

dislike_n with_o our_o god_n and_o all_o manner_n of_o religion_n let_v we_o also_o learn_v to_o be_v constant_a 2._o tim._n 3._o 14._o that_o we_o be_v not_o move_v from_o it_o but_o as_o joab_n and_o idolatry_n be_v persuade_v they_o be_v in_o the_o truth_n but_o this_o persuasion_n be_v but_o counterfeit_n like_a as_o the_o miracle_n of_o the_o magician_n in_o egypt_n be_v but_o counterfeit_n to_o the_o miracle_n of_o moses_n and_o therefore_o not_o every_o one_o that_o be_v persuade_v he_o be_v in_o the_o truth_n be_v to_o be_v think_v to_o have_v the_o holy_a ghost_n but_o only_o they_o that_o be_v persuade_v by_o the_o scripture_n and_o rely_v upon_o nothing_o in_o the_o world_n beside_o let_v we_o then_o 1_o try_v whether_o as_o yet_o we_o have_v have_v the_o holy_a
