profit_n thereof_o lay_v in_o the_o distribution_n and_o gift_n of_o god_n as_o we_o may_v well_o perceive_v by_o this_o sorrowful_a interrogatory_n will_v he_o be_v entreat_v no_o more_o of_o this_o part_n we_o learn_v how_o we_o ought_v pray_v when_o we_o read_v or_o hear_v god_n promise_n for_o our_o salvation_n to_o pray_v and_o how_o necessary_a a_o thing_n this_o prayer_n be_v that_o godly_a man_n make_v in_o the_o scripture_n lord_n help_v my_o incredulity_n lord_n increase_v our_o faith_n 9_o the_o poor_a man_n that_o hear_v and_o see_v christ_n mercy_n and_o liberality_n 17._o in_o heal_v of_o other_o desire_v also_o health_n for_o his_o own_o child_n christ_n say_v if_o he_o beléeve_v all_o thing_n be_v possible_a the_o poor_a man_n say_v i_o believe_v lord_n help_v my_o of_o god_n word_n pray_v in_o their_o spirit_n that_z y_z e_z word_n of_o god_n may_v work_v in_o they_o the_o thing_n wherefore_o the_o word_n be_v institute_v and_o appoint_v of_o god_n 3._o or_o else_o we_o shall_v be_v as_o saint_n paul_n say_v always_o learner_n and_o yet_o never_o come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o truth_n and_o i_o do_v very_o think_v and_o be_o true_o persuade_v that_o for_o lack_v of_o earnest_n and_o continual_a prayer_n with_o lift_v up_o of_o my_o heart_n unto_o god_n while_o i_o preach_v his_o most_o holy_a word_n unto_o the_o people_n god_n judge_v i_o not_o worthy_a to_o see_v such_o fruit_n of_o my_o labour_n as_o i_o hope_v for_o and_o for_o this_o that_o the_o people_n do_v not_o hearty_o pray_v to_o understand_v god_n pleasure_n by_o his_o word_n preach_v they_o be_v account_v unworthy_a of_o such_o salvation_n as_o god_n do_v offer_v they_o by_o his_o word_n and_o the_o true_a preach_v of_o his_o mystery_n let_v all_o man_n therefore_o pray_v to_o god_n in_o christ_n that_o they_o may_v be_v the_o better_a for_o the_o hear_n record_v remember_v or_o read_v of_o god_n word_n for_o notwithstanding_o they_o have_v amongst_o they_o the_o book_n of_o god_n yet_o shall_v they_o be_v trouble_v without_o god_n singular_a grace_n with_o one_o of_o these_o two_o evil_n either_o to_o mock_v and_o scorn_n at_o the_o scripture_n care_v not_o whether_o they_o learn_v it_o or_o no_o or_o else_o when_o they_o have_v learn_v it_o to_o doubt_v whether_o it_o be_v true_a or_o no._n and_o then_o follow_v these_o question_n will_v god_n absent_v himself_o for_o ever_o and_o will_n god_n be_v no_o more_o entreat_v with_o such_o other_o doubt_n as_o do_v follow_v in_o this_o psalm_n with_o much_o heaviness_n unto_o the_o spirit_n where_o such_o demand_n rest_n &_o have_v place_n then_o follow_v the_o three_o demand_n by_o this_o trouble_a prophet_n be_v his_o mercy_n clean_o go_v for_o ever_o here_o in_o this_o demand_n first_o be_v two_o thing_n to_o be_v note_v the_o one_o declare_v a_o fault_n in_o the_o prophets_n faith_n and_o the_o other_o express_v a_o verity_n in_o the_o prophets_n knowledge_n the_o fault_n in_o his_o faith_n be_v to_o doubt_v or_o to_o stand_v in_o a_o mamere_n of_o god_n mercy_n which_o be_v most_o sure_a and_o endure_v for_o ever_o and_o ever_o and_o to_o ask_v this_o question_n whether_o his_o mercy_n be_v clean_o go_v for_o ever_o the_o verity_n of_o his_o knowledge_n be_v to_o judge_v and_o say_v that_o it_o be_v his_o mercy_n that_o forgive_v sin_n and_o not_o he_o or_o any_o other_o man_n merit_n that_o can_v deserve_v the_o pardon_v of_o sin_n as_o you_o may_v see_v how_o sinful_a saul_n for_o his_o sin_n 15._o think_v to_o have_v appease_v god_n with_o sacrifice_n 18._o and_o the_o proud_a pharisée_fw-fr with_o his_o pretence_a good_a work_n but_o here_o in_o this_o knowledge_n that_o the_o prophet_n complain_v of_o the_o departure_n of_o god_n mercy_n be_v set_v forth_o that_o only_a mercy_n appease_v god_n ire_n in_o christ_n for_o the_o sin_n of_o man_n 34._o and_o what_o work_v so_o ever_o be_v do_v except_o god_n mercy_n pardon_v the_o sin_n 7._o they_o all_o can_v neither_o please_v god_n 85._o nor_o quiet_a the_o conscience_n and_o trouble_a spirit_n of_o he_o that_o do_v the_o work_n 143._o as_o it_o may_v be_v see_v in_o the_o example_n power_n of_o god_n who_o mercy_n in_o christ_n be_v always_o ready_a to_o help_v poor_a afflict_a and_o trouble_a sinner_n 18._o after_o this_o confession_n of_o sin_n and_o the_o great_a confidence_n that_o the_o prophet_n have_v in_o god_n for_o his_o mighty_a power_n and_o mercy_n sake_n 1._o that_o be_v both_o able_a by_o power_n and_o ready_a with_o will_n to_o help_v and_o remedy_v this_o work_v advise_o &_o by_o faith_n &_o the_o consideration_n of_o god_n work_v rash_o &_o without_o faith_n the_o which_o diversity_n be_v to_o be_v see_v in_o this_o prophet_n for_o the_o one_o part_n as_o touch_v the_o remember_n of_o god_n work_n out_o of_o faith_n and_o in_o faith_n he_o speak_v before_o in_o the_o second_o verse_n and_o in_o the_o four_o verse_n how_o that_o he_o consider_v the_o work_n and_o old_a do_n of_o the_o lord_n when_o he_o be_v trouble_v but_o as_o you_o have_v hear_v because_o his_o spirit_n be_v in_o a_o doubtfulness_n and_o mamere_n upon_o the_o certainty_n of_o god_n do_n he_o feel_v no_o consolation_n thereof_o but_o much_o heaviness_n and_o anguish_n of_o mind_n for_o those_o demand_n will_v god_n absent_v himself_o for_o ever_o will_v he_o be_v no_o more_o merciful_a and_o such_o like_a heavy_a and_o doubtful_a complaint_n can_v never_o proceed_v but_o from_o a_o sorrowful_a and_o much_o trouble_a conscience_n but_o now_o after_o that_o god_n spirit_n have_v wrought_v in_o his_o spirit_n this_o assurance_n and_o judgement_n that_o god_n can_v in_o he_o change_v the_o condition_n of_o his_o misery_n as_o you_o may_v see_v he_o make_v no_o more_o complaint_n of_o doubtfulness_n neither_o remember_v any_o more_o the_o fearfulness_n of_o his_o conscience_n but_o go_v forth_o with_o repetition_n and_o rehearsal_n of_o all_o thing_n comfortable_o how_o that_o god_n in_o time_n past_o help_v trouble_v spirit_n and_o afflict_a personage_n that_o put_v their_o trust_n in_o he_o so_o that_o of_o this_o we_o learn_v that_o whosoever_o have_v a_o sure_a faith_n in_o god_n take_v consolation_n of_o god_n word_n and_o work_n and_o such_o as_o have_v not_o first_o true_a faith_n in_o god_n can_v in_o the_o spirit_n receive_v comfort_n of_o god_n word_n or_o work_n outward_o man_n may_v meruel_a at_o god_n and_o his_o worker_n but_o inward_o it_o ease_v not_o the_o heaviness_n nor_o yet_o quiet_v the_o grudge_n of_o conscience_n wherefore_o prayer_n it_o behove_v we_o all_o that_o we_o pray_v earnest_o unto_o god_n to_o give_v we_o faith_n to_o believe_v his_o word_n and_o work_n when_o we_o hear_v read_v or_o see_v they_o for_o the_o word_n and_o work_n of_o god_n do_v nothing_o comfort_v the_o unfaithful_a 65._o as_o we_o may_v see_v by_o the_o scripture_n where_o god_n say_v 10._o he_o stretch_v forth_o his_o hand_n and_o life_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v over_o whelm_v with_o trouble_n he_o can_v not_o see_v at_o all_o with_o his_o eye_n but_o cry_v and_o complain_v that_o he_o be_v stark_o blind_a 38._o and_o eye_n wax_v dim_a and_o blind_a the_o same_o be_v to_o be_v see_v likewise_o in_o the_o cross_n and_o affliction_n that_o god_n send_v as_o long_o as_o true_a faith_n and_o confidence_n remain_v in_o the_o heart_n all_o trouble_n be_v welcome_a and_o thankful_o take_v as_o we_o read_v when_o job_n have_v news_n that_o his_o good_n and_o chidren_n be_v take_v from_o he_o 2._o in_o manner_n soudein_o he_o most_o patient_o say_v god_n give_v they_o and_o god_n have_v take_v they_o away_o as_o god_n will_v so_o it_o be_v do_v but_o when_o faith_n quail_v and_o the_o spirit_n be_v trouble_v therefore_o give_v we_o grace_v with_o the_o prophet_n asaph_n to_o say_v faithful_o unto_o he_o thou_o be_v my_o strength_n my_o salvation_n and_o my_o defence_n then_o doubtless_o we_o shall_v be_v
