apart_o into_o a_o parity_n with_o it_o than_o they_o be_v to_o admit_v any_o service_n or_o worship_n not_o allow_v by_o god_n or_o that_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o second_o command_n for_o if_o careless_a and_o overly_o performance_n of_o these_o family-duty_n may_v be_v easy_o discover_v by_o the_o due_a consideration_n of_o these_o forementioned_a and_o other_o such_o like_a advantage_n and_o from_o all_o that_o be_v say_v on_o this_o subject_a the_o horrid_a aggravation_n of_o the_o grievous_a sin_n of_o neglect_v family_n worship_n so_o clear_o command_v so_o much_o commend_v and_o press_v so_o much_o practise_v by_o the_o saint_n hold_v forth_o to_o be_v so_o advantageous_a in_o its_o practice_n and_o so_o prejudicial_a and_o severe_o threaten_v in_o its_o neglect_n can_v be_v but_o at_o first_o view_v obvious_a to_o any_o that_o will_v but_o with_o ordinary_a seriousness_n take_v notice_n of_o they_o have_v clear_v that_o this_o command_n be_v moral_a not_o as_o to_o the_o set_v a_o part_n of_o time_n for_o duty_n which_o every_o command_n suppose_v but_o of_o so_o much_o time_n particular_o stint_v and_o define_v in_o the_o command_n we_o come_v now_o to_o see_v what_o he_o have_v not_o be_v remember_v it_o before_o it_o come_v 3._o remember_v import_v a_o intenseness_n and_o seriousness_n in_o go_v about_o the_o duty_n of_o the_o day_n when_o it_o come_v and_o that_o it_o shall_v be_v with_o all_o carefulness_n sanctify_v and_o that_o man_n shall_v be_v mindful_a of_o the_o duty_n call_v for_o lest_o their_o heart_n divert_v from_o they_o or_o slacken_v necessary_a to_o reckon_v the_o morning_n first_o for_o if_o the_o evening_n be_v first_o that_o evening_n must_v either_o be_v 1._o the_o evening_n of_o a_o day_n precede_v morning_n see_v every_o evening_n suppose_v a_o morning_n to_o go_v before_o it_o in_o proper_a speech_n and_o i_o suppose_v the_o history_n of_o the_o creation_n genes_n 1._o be_v not_o set_v down_o in_o metaphorical_a term_n or_o 2._o it_o must_v be_v a_o evening_n without_o a_o morning_n and_o that_o in_o proper_a speech_n here_o use_v be_v absurd_a and_o seem_v also_o to_o be_v as_o impossible_a in_o nature_n to_o wit_n that_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o consequent_a and_o posterior_n evening_n or_o afternoon_n without_o a_o precede_a morning_n or_o forenoon_n as_o that_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o effect_n without_o a_o cause_n or_o 3._o it_o must_v be_v the_o evening_n follow_v its_o own_o morning_n and_o so_o that_o morning_n must_v be_v lose_v proceed_v the_o first_o evening_n record_v gen._n 1._o the_o evening_n and_o the_o morning_n be_v the_o first_o day_n which_o to_o affirm_v will_v not_o only_o be_v absurd_a but_o will_v also_o manifest_o fasten_v the_o loss_n of_o a_o day_n time_n on_o day_n and_o night_n be_v the_o two_o part_n of_o one_o whole_a natural_a day_n all_o the_o force_n of_o the_o opposite_a reason_n be_v this_o the_o evening_n be_v first_o name_v ergo_fw-la it_o be_v first_o answ_n moses_n his_o scope_n be_v not_o to_o show_v what_o part_n of_o one_o day_n be_v before_o another_o but_o to_o divide_v one_o day_n from_o another_o and_o to_o show_v what_o go_v to_o make_v a_o whole_a day_n to_o wit_n a_o evening_n and_o a_o morning_n not_o a_o morning_n alone_o but_o a_o evening_n add_v to_o the_o morning_n which_o precede_v that_o make_v the_o first_o second_o three_o day_n etc._n etc._n as_o one_o will_v reckon_v thus_o there_o be_v a_o whole_a day_n because_o there_o be_v both_o evening_n and_o morning_n in_o this_o account_n its_o most_o suitable_a to_o begin_v with_o the_o evening_n because_o it_o presuppose_v the_o morning_n and_o be_v add_v to_o it_o can_v but_o be_v a_o day_n whereas_o it_o be_v not_o so_o proper_a to_o say_v morning_n with_o the_o evening_n as_o evening_n now_o add_v to_o its_o morning_n compleat_v the_o first_o day_n and_o evening_n now_o be_v pass_v as_o the_o morning_n before_o god_n do_v put_v a_o period_n by_o and_o with_o the_o evening_n to_o the_o first_o day_n it_o be_v the_o evening_n that_o compleat_v the_o day_n and_o divide_v it_o from_o the_o follow_a day_n and_o not_o the_o morning_n as_o one_o will_v must_v account_v what_o they_o work_v after_o the_o first_o evening_n to_o belong_v to_o another_o day_n but_o that_o way_n of_o reckon_n be_v never_o hear_v of_o the_o twelth_n hour_n belong_v to_o that_o same_o day_n with_o the_o first_o hour_n again_o if_o by_o this_o command_n a_o whole_a artificial_a day_n together_o that_o be_v our_o wake_n and_o work_v time_n betwixt_o two_o night_n be_v to_o be_v employ_v for_o god_n
to_o their_o need_n 3._o to_o what_o may_v convenient_o attain_v the_o end_n yet_o it_o be_v needful_a here_o to_o add_v some_o qualification_n or_o caveat_n lest_o folk_n indulge_v themselves_o too_o much_o and_o exceed_v under_o the_o pretext_n of_o the_o former_a liberty_n which_o the_o lord_n have_v condescend_v to_o leave_v man_n at_o 1._o that_o man_n will_v see_v that_o the_o necessity_n be_v real_a that_o real_a sickness_n keep_v at_o home_n that_o real_a hazard_n make_v they_o fly_v or_o make_v they_o bide_v at_o home_n that_o it_o be_v such_o a_o necessity_n as_o they_o caâ—not_v command_v exod_a 34._o 21_o even_o in_o sow_v rhyme_n and_o harvest_n because_o the_o necessity_n be_v not_o clear_a but_o depend_v on_o ordinary_a providence_n and_o folk_n be_v to_o expect_v occasion_n and_o opportunity_n for_o they_o afterward_o 4._o man_n will_v take_v heed_n that_o they_o have_v not_o a_o tickle_a complacency_n that_o such_o necessity_n fall_v on_o the_o sabbath_n
