word_n of_o christ_n mat._n 5.34_o etc._n etc._n have_v encourage_v some_o man_n in_o these_o day_n to_o such_o a_o height_n of_o swear_v as_o they_o be_v now_o come_v and_o therefore_o christ_n jesus_n the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n in_o give_v forth_o that_o command_n as_o a_o prohibition_n of_o all_o swear_n do_v it_o not_o without_o reason_n and_o what_o be_v before_o say_v may_v be_v a_o good_a reason_n wherefore_o christ_n add_v those_o word_n neither_o by_o heaven_n etc._n etc._n after_o he_o have_v say_v swear_v not_o at_o all_o and_o so_o the_o word_n follow_v be_v neither_o vain_a nor_o impertinent_a for_o under_o the_o law_n they_o be_v to_o swear_v by_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o not_o by_o the_o creature_n and_o by_o the_o law_n they_o be_v require_v to_o perform_v their_o oath_n unto_o the_o lord_n which_o they_o swear_v by_o his_o name_n lest_o they_o shall_v forswear_v themselves_o which_o christ_n have_v before_o repeat_v in_o substance_n by_o way_n of_o opposition_n of_o and_o not_o in_o compliance_n with_o say_v but_o i_o say_v unto_o you_o swear_v not_o at_o all_o neither_o by_o heaven_n etc._n etc._n so_o that_o the_o word_n true_o consider_v be_v thus_o in_o effect_n but_o i_o say_v unto_o you_o swear_v not_o at_o all_o by_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n as_o heretofore_o under_o the_o law_n you_o be_v command_v neither_o by_o heaven_n etc._n etc._n according_a to_o the_o erroneous_a doctrine_n of_o the_o scribe_n and_o pharisee_n for_o if_o christ_n have_v not_o intend_v absolute_o to_o forbid_v all_o manner_n of_o swear_v then_o he_o by_o that_o command_n swear_v not_o at_o all_o have_v make_v the_o case_n of_o swear_v more_o doubtful_a and_o questionable_a than_o it_o be_v before_o which_o to_o affirm_v be_v a_o great_a injury_n to_o christ_n the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n who_o god_n send_v into_o the_o world_n to_o give_v sight_n to_o the_o blind_a and_o to_o guide_v their_o foot_n into_o the_o way_n of_o peace_n again_o christ_n jesus_n be_v the_o mediator_n of_o the_o new_a covenant_n which_o perfect_v for_o ever_o those_o that_o be_v sanctify_v which_o be_v give_v upon_o better_a promise_n than_o the_o first_o covenant_n which_o make_v nothing_o perfect_a be_v unchangeable_a it_o be_v therefore_o according_a to_o right_a reason_n that_o the_o first_o covenant_n with_o all_o those_o thing_n under_o it_o that_o be_v changeable_a and_o so_o may_v be_v shake_v as_o be_v thing_n that_o be_v not_o in_o the_o begin_n with_o god_n as_o a_o oath_n and_o swear_v be_v not_o in_o the_o begin_n with_o god_n neither_o original_o of_o he_o and_o therefore_o may_v be_v shake_v shall_v be_v abolish_v and_o take_v out_o of_o the_o way_n to_o the_o end_n that_o nothing_o that_o be_v changeable_a or_o in_o which_o there_o be_v a_o remembrance_n again_o of_o sin_n may_v remain_v in_o the_o new_a covenant_n which_o be_v unchangeable_a and_o so_o when_o that_o which_o be_v perfect_a be_v come_v kingdom_n of_o god_n therefore_o every_o one_o that_o fear_v the_o lord_n for_o thereafter_o as_o a_o man_n fear_v be_v god_n displeasure_n be_v as_o much_o bind_v by_o his_o word_n as_o by_o a_o oath_n and_o there_o be_v no_o more_o security_n to_o the_o magistrate_n by_o a_o oath_n than_o by_o true_a say_n or_o witness-bearing_a neither_o benefit_n to_o our_o neighbour_n therefore_o if_o the_o same_o outward_a punishment_n be_v inflict_v upon_o the_o liar_n as_o false_a swearer_n the_o difference_n in_o a_o short_a time_n will_v not_o be_v great_a because_o experience_n do_v evidence_n that_o he_o that_o make_v no_o conscience_n of_o his_o word_n will_v not_o matter_n to_o swear_v false_o for_o conscience_n sake_n to_o god_n and_o it_o may_v be_v believe_v that_o one_o reason_n why_o strife_n do_v so_o much_o in_o these_o day_n abound_v among_o man_n notwithstanding_o that_o oath_n and_o swear_v abound_v be_v because_o that_o the_o true_a witness-bearing_a as_o it_o be_v before_o swear_v be_v be_v not_o receive_v in_o judicial_a proceed_n for_o want_n of_o a_o oath_n and_o swear_v again_o to_o say_v that_o christ_n do_v forbid_v all_o swear_v because_o his_o father_n will_v have_v it_o so_o be_v a_o better_a reason_n than_o any_o a._n s._n have_v produce_v to_o the_o contrary_n but_o to_o proceed_v to_o a._n s._n his_o nine_o argument_n viz._n arg._n 9_o the_o law_n engrave_v in_o stone_n have_v a_o shadow_n although_o they_o continue_v under_o the_o gospel_n yet_o as_o be_v say_v they_o be_v not_o the_o work_n of_o the_o law_n which_o make_v
