shall_v return_v and_o fall_v upon_o their_o own_o head_n &_o their_o own_o shame_n shall_v cover_v their_o face_n and_o the_o wrong_n do_v both_o to_o his_o name_n and_o to_o his_o servant_n shall_v be_v full_o discover_v and_o avenge_v thus_o much_o concern_v the_o three_o commandment_n for_o the_o glorifieng_v of_o god_n name_n now_o follow_v the_o four_o in_o these_o word_n follow_v remember_v he_o as_o that_o they_o suffer_v he_o not_o among_o their_o people_n and_o in_o their_o jurisdiction_n in_o the_o face_n of_o the_o congregation_n open_o to_o break_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n the_o reason_n be_v diverse_a first_o draw_v from_o the_o equity_n and_o righteousness_n of_o it_o in_o these_o word_n six_o day_n shall_v thou_o labour_v q._n d._n i_o have_v give_v thou_o six_o follow_v example_n and_o be_v lead_v by_o other_o then_o follow_v the_o example_n of_o the_o best_a now_o what_o better_a example_n can_v there_o be_v than_o the_o example_n of_o god_n himself_o now_o god_n himself_o when_o he_o go_v to_o make_v the_o world_n and_o all_o the_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n contrive_v all_o his_o work_n so_o as_o that_o he_o finish_v they_o within_o the_o compass_n of_o six_o day_n and_o on_o the_o seven_o day_n do_v rest_n from_o all_o his_o work_n of_o creation_n only_o preserve_v those_o thing_n which_o before_o he_o have_v make_v therefore_o from_o his_o under_o the_o gosple_n as_o under_o the_o law_n and_o to_o continue_v in_o force_n so_o long_o as_o any_o of_o the_o commandment_n even_o so_o long_o as_o there_o be_v this_o world_n and_o a_o church_n militant_a upon_o earth_n the_o first_o reason_n to_o confirm_v this_o may_v be_v draw_v from_o those_o reason_n which_o god_n use_v for_o the_o confirmation_n of_o it_o in_o the_o text_n the_o help_n of_o moses_n hand_n and_o pen_n but_o with_o his_o own_o finger_n write_v they_o not_o in_o paper_n with_o ink_n but_o in_o stone_n to_o show_v the_o strength_n and_o continuance_n of_o they_o and_o command_v moses_n to_o put_v they_o in_o the_o ark_n to_o show_v that_o no_o man_n can_v fulfil_v &_o perfect_o obey_v they_o but_o only_o christ_n if_o these_o ten_o be_v all_o write_v by_o god_n and_o no_o exception_n make_v whereby_o the_o sabbath_n shall_v be_v inferior_a to_o the_o rest_n but_o altogether_o put_v into_o the_o ark_n than_o a_o man_n may_v even_o as_o well_o strong_a argument_n to_o keep_v out_o the_o cavil_n and_o objection_n of_o man_n than_o this_o so_o that_o where_o god_n have_v as_o it_o be_v of_o set_a purpose_n give_v more_o strength_n for_o a_o man_n to_o impute_v more_o weakness_n to_o this_o thing_n be_v a_o note_n either_o of_o great_a folly_n or_o else_o of_o singular_a impudency_n and_o impiety_n the_o four_o reason_n be_v draw_v from_o the_o person_n upon_o who_o it_o lie_v and_o unto_o who_o it_o be_v give_v for_o we_o know_v that_o the_o ceremony_n do_v lie_v only_o upon_o the_o jew_n the_o gentile_n be_v not_o bind_v to_o observe_v they_o but_o now_o this_o commandment_n say_v not_o only_o thou_o thy_o son_n thy_o daughter_n thy_o man_n thy_o maid_n which_o contain_v all_o the_o whole_a commonwealth_n but_o it_o go_v the_o sabbath_n confirm_v the_o sabbath_n most_o strong_o mat._n 24._o 20._o where_o speak_v of_o the_o destruction_n of_o jerusalem_n by_o vespasian_n and_o speak_v to_o the_o faithful_a of_o the_o that_o have_v neither_o leisure_n nor_o ability_n to_o do_v so_o but_o i_o must_v want_v all_o these_o comfort_n christ_n know_v that_o this_o will_v be_v as_o bitter_a as_o death_n to_o a_o christian_a soul_n and_o therefore_o he_o will_v they_o to_o pray_v to_o god_n to_o prevent_v it_o that_o no_o such_o necessity_n be_v lay_v upon_o they_o now_o if_o this_o commandment_n and_o this_o day_n have_v be_v ceremonial_a they_o may_v have_v flee_v with_o as_o little_a care_n as_o any_o other_o for_o it_o have_v be_v abolish_v long_o afore_o by_o christ_n death_n and_o no_o such_o regard_n have_v be_v to_o be_v make_v of_o it_o in_o that_o christ_n do_v allow_v this_o conscience_n and_o regard_n of_o fly_v on_o the_o sabbath_n day_n more_o than_o any_o other_o of_o the_o week_n he_o show_v planly_a that_o the_o force_n of_o the_o sabbath_n be_v to_o abide_v after_o he_o for_o forty_o year_n and_o therefore_o no_o ceremony_n for_o then_o christ_n have_v not_o do_v well_o to_o put_v a_o needless_a fear_n into_o their_o heart_n of_o fly_v on_o the_o sabbath_n if_o god_n require_v no_o keep_n of_o the_o sabbath_n and_o then_o he_o shall_v rather_o have_v bid_v they_o pray_v to_o god_n that_o they_o may_v have_v have_v all_o respect_n of_o it_o be_v a_o ceremony_n take_v from_o they_o and_o tell_v they_o that_o they_o need_v not_o to_o regard_v it_o for_o it_o have_v be_v a_o great_a sin_n to_o have_v make_v such_o conscience_n of_o keep_v a_o ceremony_n so_o long_o after_o the_o abolish_n of_o they_o then_o if_o one_o shall_v not_o willing_o and_o not_o without_o for_o those_o wicked_a person_n that_o will_v cavil_n against_o every_o thing_n that_o cross_v their_o corrupt_a lust_n as_o the_o keep_n of_o a_o sabbath_n do_v exceed_o we_o must_v not_o great_o be_v move_v what_o they_o object_n for_o of_o they_o it_o be_v most_o true_a that_o solomon_n say_v bray_v a_o fool_n in_o a_o mortar_n as_o wheat_n be_v bray_v with_o a_o pestle_n and_o he_o will_v not_o forsake_v his_o folly_n but_o this_o may_v suffice_v to_o confirm_v and_o establish_v and_o instruct_v a_o christian_n
but_o we_o must_v serve_v he_o in_o the_o duty_n of_o religion_n and_o mercy_n only_o as_o for_o example_n god_n child_n will_v not_o eat_v meat_n at_o their_o own_o table_n without_o crave_v god_n blessing_n upon_o they_o but_o when_o they_o be_v to_o come_v to_o the_o table_n of_o the_o lord_n they_o use_v a_o great_a and_o more_o solemn_a preparation_n because_o they_o expect_v a_o great_a and_o more_o excellent_a blessing_n so_o likewise_o a_o christian_n in_o all_o the_o work_n of_o his_o call_n have_v a_o regard_n to_o serve_v and_o glorify_v god_n but_o in_o a_o more_o special_a manner_n upon_o the_o seven_o day_n because_o he_o than_o look_v for_o a_o more_o plentiful_a and_o liberal_a benediction_n both_o upon_o his_o soul_n and_o body_n and_o these_o man_n that_o among_o we_o keep_v such_o a_o prate_a that_o every_o day_n must_v be_v a_o sabbath_n and_o we_o must_v rest_v from_o sin_n mark_v they_o whether_o they_o rest_v from_o sin_n at_o all_o and_o observe_v if_o there_o be_v any_o family_n so_o bid_v as_o they_o that_o common_o if_o one_o will_v rake_v hell_n as_o we_o say_v he_o can_v not_o meet_v with_o more_o profane_a and_o irreligious_a person_n that_o speak_v of_o keep_v every_o day_n holy_a but_o in_o truth_n keep_v every_o day_n unholy_a but_o other_o that_o in_o conscience_n of_o god_n commandment_n do_v bind_v themselves_o to_o keep_v of_o the_o sabbath_n which_o god_n have_v institute_v go_v far_o beyond_o they_o in_o all_o virtue_n and_o holiness_n if_o they_o can_v show_v any_o good_a effect_n in_o themselves_o of_o this_o their_o every_o day_n sabbath_n we_o may_v give_v some_o credit_n to_o they_o for_o god_n do_v always_o give_v a_o blessing_n to_o his_o own_o ordinance_n but_o for_o such_o vild_a and_o unholy_a person_n that_o in_o all_o their_o life_n never_o keep_v a_o sabbath_n holy_a to_o make_v a_o talk_n of_o keep_v every_o day_n as_o a_o sabbath_n it_o be_v most_o palpable_a and_o damnable_a hypocrisy_n the_o last_o objection_n of_o which_o we_o will_v speak_v be_v take_v out_o of_o 1._o colos_n 2._o 16._o let_v no_o man_n condemn_v you_o in_o respect_n of_o a_o holiday_n or_o of_o a_o new_a moon_n or_o of_o the_o sabbath_n day_n so_o that_o the_o apostle_n say_v they_o put_v the_o sabbath_n among_o other_o ceremony_n which_o be_v to_o be_v abrogate_a but_o for_o the_o answer_n of_o this_o we_o must_v know_v that_o the_o apostle_n speak_v of_o such_o sabbath_n as_o be_v in_o the_o same_o rank_n with_o the_o meat_n and_o drink_n whereof_o he_o speak_v before_o of_o which_o sort_n be_v the_o the_o other_o feast_n of_o like_a kind_n be_v indeed_o abrogate_a as_o be_v ceremony_n not_o write_v in_o the_o table_n of_o stone_n as_o this_o be_v and_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o prove_v of_o this_o that_o this_o sabbath_n be_v moral_a and_o perpetual_a which_o since_o it_o be_v so_o the_o use_n be_v for_o the_o confutation_n of_o such_o as_o sharpen_v their_o tongue_n and_o wit_n and_o against_o it_o but_o by_o reason_n of_o their_o own_o weakness_n which_o have_v not_o the_o spirit_n of_o truth_n to_o lead_v they_o into_o the_o truth_n and_o to_o confirm_v and_o show_v they_o error_n and_o heresy_n and_o make_v they_o loathsome_a unto_o they_o and_o give_v they_o power_n against_o they_o therefore_o we_o must_v labour_v for_o this_o spirit_n of_o truth_n which_o may_v so_o settle_v and_o ground_v we_o in_o the_o truth_n as_o that_o every_o storm_n of_o a_o false_a opinion_n from_o the_o mouth_n of_o some_o fantastical_a and_o vain_a person_n that_o have_v no_o godliness_n nor_o learning_n to_o commend_v he_o that_o never_o do_v any_o thing_n nor_o suffer_v any_o thing_n for_o christ_n sake_n may_v not_o weaken_v our_o hold_n and_o shake_v our_o foundation_n and_o cast_v we_o down_o from_o the_o truth_n that_o we_o shall_v be_v seduce_v by_o they_o nay_o we_o shall_v be_v so_o far_o from_o yield_v to_o the_o false_a dream_n of_o such_o as_o that_o when_o to_o keep_v it_o you_o let_v sin_n keep_v dominion_n in_o your_o hart_n all_o the_o week_n and_o then_o it_o must_v needs_o be_v dull_a and_o dead_a to_o all_o goodness_n on_o the_o seven_o day_n but_o those_o that_o do_v labour_n to_o walk_v uprightlie_o &_o pure_o before_o god_n six_o day_n find_v such_o comfort_n thereby_o as_o no_o outward_a pleasure_n can_v bring_v nor_o any_o thing_n in_o this_o world_n but_o only_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n can_v afford_v second_o this_o teach_v we_o to_o lay_v as_o a_o duty_n every_o one_o upon_o his_o own_o conscience_n to_o remember_v this_o day_n &_o in_o all_o our_o affair_n to_o have_v this_o in_o our_o mind_n that_o we_o entangle_v not_o ourselves_o by_o any_o business_n which_o may_v hinder_v we_o from_o keep_v of_o it_o first_o because_o we_o have_v so_o direct_a a_o item_n as_o we_o call_v it_o to_o remember_v this_o day_n second_o because_o whereas_o god_n content_v himself_o in_o all_o the_o other_o commandment_n to_o set_v they_o down_o either_o only_a affirmative_o or_o only_o negativelie_a he_o have_v not_o do_v so_o in_o this_o commandment_n but_o to_o set_v the_o deep_a impression_n in_o our_o heart_n have_v set_v it_o down_o both_o affirmativelie_a and_o negative_o keep_v it_o holy_a say_v he_o and_o as_o though_o that_o be_v not_o enough_o do_v no_o manner_n of_o work_n in_o it_o and_o then_o whereas_o other_o of_o the_o commandment_n for_o the_o most_o part_n have_v no_o reason_n annex_v to_o they_o in_o the_o decalogue_n though_o in_o the_o scripture_n else_o where_o they_o have_v this_o and_o the_o second_o commandment_n have_v diverse_a reason_n add_v unto_o they_o that_o man_n may_v have_v a_o great_a regard_n unto_o it_o therefore_o if_o we_o will_v do_v any_o thing_n for_o god_n special_a charge_n especial_o if_o his_o friend_n shall_v in_o most_o of_o the_o other_o give_v but_o the_o bare_a commandment_n and_o thing_n set_v down_o without_o any_o more_o word_n but_o shall_v insist_v upon_o that_o and_o give_v he_o reason_n upon_o reason_n why_o he_o shall_v have_v a_o special_a care_n of_o it_o but_o so_o god_n say_v to_o we_o he_o give_v we_o warn_v before_o show_v that_o we_o be_v ready_a to_o forget_v it_o but_o he_o will_v have_v we_o strive_v against_o this_o forgetfulness_n and_o then_o because_o we_o shall_v not_o forget_v but_o do_v it_o he_o urge_v it_o with_o many_o reason_n now_o then_o to_o forget_v this_o be_v it_o not_o a_o plain_a contempt_n and_o neglect_n it_o follow_v to_o keep_v it_o holy_a now_o the_o lord_n show_v what_o be_v to_o be_v do_v on_o the_o sabbath_n day_n namely_o we_o must_v keep_v it_o holy_a it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o forbear_v our_o own_o work_n and_o so_o to_o keep_v it_o idle_o but_o we_o must_v be_v as_o careful_a to_o do_v god_n work_v and_o so_o to_o keep_v it_o holy_a hence_o than_o we_o learn_v this_o doctrine_n that_o the_o sabbath_n must_v be_v employ_v in_o holy_a exercise_n it_o must_v not_o heart_n of_o god_n people_n they_o be_v as_o heathen_a man_n their_o soul_n be_v cut_v of_o from_o the_o church_n they_o have_v no_o life_n of_o grace_n no_o fruit_n or_o work_n of_o the_o word_n and_o sacrament_n more_o than_o of_o any_o idle_a tale_n and_o profane_a story_n no_o grace_n wrought_v by_o it_o no_o death_n of_o sin_n no_o hope_n nor_o desire_n of_o heaven_n but_o live_v as_o beast_n no_o recourse_n to_o god_n in_o christ_n jesus_n nor_o no_o virtue_n that_o they_o draw_v from_o christ_n so_o that_o indeed_o they_o do_v not_o live_v in_o christ_n but_o be_v dead_a in_o another_o or_o such_o like_a purpose_n they_o have_v rather_o god_n shall_v loose_v his_o glory_n and_o god_n word_n the_o grace_n and_o authority_n of_o it_o then_o that_o they_o will_v loose_v their_o jest_n &_o thus_o that_o which_o god_n appoint_v to_o edify_v their_o soul_n in_o godliness_n they_o pervert_v to_o stir_v up_o themselves_o and_o other_o to_o foolish_a and_o wicked_a and_o profane_a laughter_n so_o three_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v abuse_v in_o a_o most_o gross_a and_o notorious_a manner_n when_o one_o bring_v it_o in_o the_o defence_n of_o any_o sin_n or_o error_n or_o heresy_n which_o be_v to_o presume_v to_o wrest_v god_n weapon_n out_o of_o his_o hand_n as_o it_o be_v and_o beat_v he_o with_o his_o own_o sword_n this_o be_v a_o great_a abuse_n of_o the_o sacred_a word_n of_o god_n and_o more_o hurtful_a and_o mischievous_a then_o either_o swear_v or_o forswear_v thus_o the_o devil_n do_v most_o damnable_o profane_v god_n name_n and_o word_n when_o he_o misuse_v that_o to_o make_v christ_n go_v out_o of_o his_o way_n that_o be_v write_v to_o encourage_v all_o god_n child_n in_o their_o way_n thus_o set_v as_o it_o be_v a_o ill-favoured_a shape_n upon_o god_n word_n that_o it_o may_v seem_v to_o agree_v with_o his_o devilish_a temptation_n so_o let_v wicked_a &_o voluptuous_a liver_n that_o spend_v all_o their_o time_n and_o labour_n in_o pursue_v vain_a and_o fond_a sport_n and_o game_n and_o such_o foolish_a and_o fleshly_a delight_n as_o make_v they_o no_o whit_n more_o serviceable_a to_o god_n or_o the_o common_a weal_n nor_o do_v any_o good_a to_o their_o own_o soul_n or_o body_n or_o any_o man_n else_o let_v such_o man_n i_o say_v be_v reprove_v and_o tell_v that_o this_o kind_n of_o live_v be_v not_o allowable_a it_o will_v not_o hold_v out_o before_o god_n man_n be_v make_v to_o bring_v glory_n to_o god_n and_o do_v good_a in_o this_o world_n not_o to_o bring_v pleasure_n to_o his_o flesh_n and_o live_v idle_o in_o for_o recreation_n what_o be_v your_o occupation_n what_o sore_a travail_n be_v that_o that_o weary_v your_o body_n what_o earnest_a study_n trouble_v your_o brain_n that_o you_o must_v have_v so_o much_o refresh_v and_o so_o much_o recreate_v it_o must_v be_v some_o very_a painful_a labour_n that_o needs_o so_o much_o rest_n to_o make_v one_o able_a to_o perform_v it_o it_o be_v a_o sore_a labour_n indeed_o for_o it_o be_v the_o service_n of_o lust_n and_o the_o devil_n two_o hard_a master_n but_o this_o turn_n of_o recreation_n into_o a_o vocation_n or_o a_o vexation_n rather_o be_v not_o allowable_a by_o god_n word_n how_o dare_v thou_o then_o be_v so_o impudent_o audacious_a as_o to_o rob_v god_n of_o his_o treasure_n to_o maintain_v thy_o filthy_a lust_n and_o defile_v his_o holy_a word_n by_o defend_v thy_o unholy_a practice_n so_o likewise_o come_v to_o a_o covetous_a person_n
in_o so_o mean_v a_o place_n and_o so_o contemptible_a a_o degree_n but_o that_o he_o must_v if_o he_o will_v take_v the_o name_n of_o christ_n upon_o he_o &_o the_o profession_n of_o christian_n religion_n he_o must_v adorn_v and_o deck_v it_o which_o he_o may_v do_v by_o be_v faithful_a and_o diligent_a in_o his_o place_n and_o give_v every_o man_n his_o due_a conscionable_o even_o a_o servant_n if_o he_o be_v not_o audacious_a and_o saucy_a and_o malapart_n and_o pick_v and_o false_a but_o trusty_a and_o diligent_a and_o serviceable_a and_o patient_a and_o meek_a and_o humble_a he_o keep_v god_n commandment_n he_o glorify_v god_n he_o grace_n religion_n he_o work_v out_o his_o own_o salvation_n do_v what_o in_o he_o lie_v to_o convert_v his_o unbelieve_a master_n and_o shall_v have_v a_o reward_n for_o this_o as_o well_o as_o if_o he_o be_v in_o a_o high_a and_o more_o honourable_a call_n that_o the_o world_n make_v more_o account_n off_o therefore_o this_o serve_v again_o to_o confute_v those_o professor_n that_o be_v so_o slender_o see_v in_o the_o meaning_n of_o god_n commandment_n as_o that_o they_o think_v if_o they_o be_v not_o common_a swearer_n and_o outrageous_a blasphemer_n the_o three_o commandment_n have_v nothing_o to_o say_v they_o &_o they_o be_v free_a from_o the_o breach_n of_o it_o but_o this_o and_o all_o other_o of_o god_n commandment_n be_v break_v as_o well_o by_o omission_n as_o commission_n as_o well_o by_o not_o perform_v that_o that_o be_v therein_o enjoin_v as_o by_o do_v that_o that_o be_v forbid_v for_o god_n do_v not_o give_v a_o law_n altogether_o negative_a but_o it_o consist_v of_o a_o part_n affirmative_a to_o and_o because_o neglect_v obedience_n to_o the_o first_o branch_n of_o this_o holy_a counter_n no_o man_n ever_o see_v he_o bring_v a_o handful_n of_o pure_a gold_n out_o of_o his_o chest_n but_o every_o day_n counter_n good_a store_n sure_a by_o this_o that_o come_v abroad_o one_o that_o he_o may_v speak_v to_o our_o heart_n and_o say_v something_o that_o serve_v to_o kill_v our_o sin_n and_o to_o comfort_n and_o build_v up_o our_o soul_n that_o as_o he_o be_v appoint_v for_o a_o physician_n so_o he_o will_v fit_v we_o with_o some_o medicine_n as_o well_o as_o other_o as_o saint_n paul_n bid_v they_o pray_v for_o he_o that_o he_o may_v have_v the_o door_n of_o utterance_n and_o when_o one_o do_v this_o in_o a_o humble_a hart_n desire_v to_o repent_v and_o turn_v from_o his_o sin_n in_o good_a earnest_n he_o shall_v never_o come_v to_o the_o sermon_n but_o he_o shall_v hear_v some_o one_o lesson_n or_o other_o that_o will_v make_v he_o better_o and_o he_o shall_v have_v cause_n to_o thank_v god_n for_o it_o but_o if_o one_o come_v rude_o into_o god_n house_n from_o brawl_a &_o chide_v at_o home_n or_o so_o soon_o as_o he_o be_v out_o of_o his_o bed_n to_o come_v to_o the_o church_n without_o prepare_v his_o hart_n or_o fit_v himself_o by_o any_o prayer_n to_o god_n or_o confession_n and_o sorrow_n for_o his_o sin_n than_o he_o shall_v feel_v that_o to_o his_o unclean_a hart_n all_o thing_n be_v unclean_a the_o word_n shall_v be_v but_o a_o tediousness_n &_o serve_v to_o the_o further_o harden_v of_o his_o hart_n also_o one_o must_v read_v some_o part_n of_o the_o scripture_n private_o that_o may_v season_v his_o hart_n and_o settle_v and_o quiet_v his_o mind_n &_o affection_n that_o he_o may_v be_v more_o teachable_a and_o that_o he_o may_v the_o better_o fit_v himself_o after_o this_o sort_n he_o be_v to_o rise_v betimes_o in_o the_o morning_n for_o there_o be_v none_o so_o good_a a_o master_n no_o work_n so_o good_a in_o itself_o nor_o none_o that_o will_v bring_v so_o great_a a_o reward_n &_o therefore_o we_o shall_v rise_v as_o early_o to_o serve_v this_o master_n in_o this_o work_n as_o any_o day_n else_o for_o any_o other_o work_n and_o if_o we_o do_v thus_o we_o may_v have_v sufficient_a to_o provide_v for_o the_o public_a exercise_n that_o we_o may_v come_v unto_o they_o with_o profit_n also_o a_o other_o private_a work_n of_o the_o sabbath_n be_v to_o releâ—ue_v and_o visit_v they_o that_o be_v sick_a or_o in_o any_o kind_n of_o misery_n and_o so_o also_o to_o reconcile_v those_o that_o be_v at_o jar_n and_o discord_n further_o also_o to_o meditate_v upon_o the_o word_n that_o we_o have_v hear_v and_o to_o ponder_v of_o it_o to_o apply_v it_o to_o ourselves_o to_o mark_v what_o we_o have_v remember_v what_o we_o have_v lay_v up_o in_o our_o heart_n and_o purpose_n to_o follow_v and_o how_o matter_n stand_v betwixt_o god_n and_o ourselves_o in_o the_o thing_n that_o have_v be_v deliver_v for_o till_o the_o word_n be_v thus_o make_v our_o own_o it_o be_v but_o as_o chaff_n lie_v loose_a in_o the_o how_o they_o be_v prove_v unto_o we_o and_o then_o further_o to_o enlarge_v they_o according_a to_o our_o own_o particular_a necessity_n and_o as_o it_o be_v to_o spread_v the_o medicine_n upon_o one_o a_o other_o heart_n these_o be_v the_o private_a thing_n which_o as_o every_o one_o be_v more_o careful_a to_o perform_v so_o shall_v he_o receive_v a_o more_o large_a and_o abundant_a blessing_n upon_o the_o public_a now_o the_o public_a themselves_o be_v to_o join_v with_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o congregasion_n in_o pray_v and_o praise_v god_n with_o one_o hart_n and_o voice_n in_o diligent_a attend_v to_o the_o word_n public_o read_v &_o preach_v for_o there_o be_v a_o great_a blessing_n promise_v to_o this_o ministerial_a read_n then_o to_o any_o man_n read_v at_o home_n then_o also_o the_o use_n of_o the_o sacrament_n as_o to_o be_v present_a at_o baptism_n for_o the_o depart_n away_o argue_v a_o great_a contempt_n of_o it_o and_o with_o a_o public_a disgrace_n of_o god_n ordinance_n for_o if_o one_o or_o two_o have_v liberty_n the_o rest_n have_v the_o like_a and_o then_o where_o be_v the_o reverence_n therefore_o one_o must_v tarry_v at_o such_o exercise_n as_o commodity_n &_o more_o see_v to_o god_n service_n then_o his_o own_o gain_n now_o we_o know_v that_o master_n suffer_v not_o their_o servant_n to_o be_v idle_a on_o the_o week_n day_n therefore_o if_o he_o love_v god_n he_o shall_v be_v so_o much_o more_o diligent_a over_o they_o that_o they_o neglect_v not_o the_o word_n of_o god_n on_o his_o day_n by_o how_o much_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n be_v person_n under_o his_o roof_n that_o will_v dishonour_v he_o open_o and_o not_o care_n to_o observe_v his_o sabbath_n second_o if_o one_o bear_v any_o love_n to_o his_o servant_n or_o child_n even_o for_o their_o own_o sake_n he_o must_v see_v to_o they_o that_o they_o break_v not_o the_o sabbath_n but_o that_o they_o come_v to_o such_o exercise_n where_o they_o may_v receive_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o the_o chief_a good_a to_o their_o soul_n always_o a_o good_a governor_n must_v govern_v for_o the_o good_a of_o those_o that_o be_v under_o he_o now_o what_o great_a good_n can_v he_o must_v be_v careful_a over_o their_o servant_n in_o this_o regard_n for_o take_v this_o for_o a_o general_a rule_n he_o that_o will_v not_o be_v faithful_a to_o god_n will_v never_o be_v faithful_a commandment_n of_o god_n will_v restrain_v he_o else_o either_o they_o will_v do_v nothing_o or_o what_o they_o do_v be_v all_o for_o eye_n service_n to_o be_v see_v of_o man_n and_o when_o the_o keep_v they_o in_o who_o keep_v they_o in_o on_o the_o six_o day_n can_v you_o make_v they_o tarry_v at_o home_o then_o can_v you_o set_v they_o to_o their_o business_n and_o not_o suffer_v they_o to_o be_v gad_v yet_o that_o be_v for_o six_o day_n space_n this_o be_v but_o for_o one_o that_o labour_n which_o then_o they_o do_v be_v far_o more_o toilsome_a to_o the_o body_n &_o can_v you_o make_v they_o will_v they_o will_v they_o spend_v six_o whole_a day_n in_o more_o painful_a &_o tedious_a work_n &_o can_v you_o not_o constrain_v they_o to_o keep_v at_o home_n and_o do_v more_o he_o will_v show_v you_o that_o you_o have_v make_v as_o much_o account_n of_o serve_v his_o honour_n and_o glory_n and_o obey_v his_o commandment_n as_o you_o do_v of_o serve_v your_o own_o filthy_a covetous_a lust_n and_o obey_v the_o devil_n if_o his_o name_n have_v be_v as_o dear_a to_o you_o as_o gain_v you_o may_v with_o as_o much_o ease_n cause_v your_o servant_n to_o spend_v the_o seven_o day_n in_o his_o service_n to_o his_o glory_n as_o six_o before_o it_o in_o your_o own_o service_n to_o your_o profit_n but_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o youth_n be_v so_o rude_a be_v it_o not_o because_o they_o have_v learn_v it_o of_o age_n why_o be_v inferior_n so_o profane_a but_o because_o they_o follow_v the_o pattern_n and_o tread_v in_o the_o step_n of_o their_o superior_n how_o come_v the_o branch_n to_o bring_v such_o ill_a fruit_n but_o that_o the_o root_n have_v no_o better_a sap_n for_o if_o the_o servant_n may_v but_o see_v so_o much_o love_n of_o god_n and_o care_n of_o keep_v god_n commandment_n appear_v in_o the_o conversation_n of_o their_o master_n and_o dame_n as_o they_o see_v of_o the_o world_n and_o eagerness_n after_o lucre_n they_o will_v at_o least_o for_o outward_a show_n be_v better_a but_o now_o that_o they_o see_v their_o master_n and_o know_v his_o disposition_n they_o frame_v themselves_o thereafter_o to_o serve_v he_o in_o his_o covetous_a lust_n &_o rob_v god_n of_o his_o honour_n if_o the_o servant_n shall_v but_o leave_v his_o business_n one_o or_o two_o hour_n in_o the_o weak_a and_o run_v hoyt_v about_o some_o sport_n and_o vanity_n when_o he_o come_v home_o his_o master_n will_v be_v upon_o his_o back_n his_o dame_n will_v have_v a_o say_n to_o he_o he_o shall_v be_v so_o bait_v with_o rebuke_n and_o chide_v as_o if_o it_o be_v a_o bear_n with_o dog_n so_o that_o though_o he_o have_v a_o good_a mind_n to_o be_v abroad_o and_o have_v no_o great_a hart_n to_o stand_v sweat_v at_o his_o business_n yet_o miserable_a fear_n will_v make_v he_o tarry_v at_o home_n rather_o than_o he_o will_v endure_v the_o sharp_a sauce_n that_o must_v come_v after_o and_o be_v chide_v thus_o again_o he_o will_v keep_v within_o door_n but_o let_v he_o be_v where_o he_o will_v and_o do_v what_o he_o will_v upon_o the_o
counsel_n of_o his_o word_n and_o of_o his_o servant_n if_o you_o have_v take_v this_o course_n which_o be_v the_o right_a course_n you_o have_v be_v safe_a but_o now_o that_o you_o be_v fall_v the_o best_a way_n be_v not_o to_o lie_v cry_v and_o exclaim_v against_o he_o that_o be_v a_o occasion_n of_o your_o fall_n but_o seek_v how_o to_o rise_v up_o again_o take_v the_o right_a physic_n and_o go_v to_o the_o right_a physician_n god_n be_v the_o physician_n &_o true_a repentance_n and_o prayer_n for_o help_v be_v the_o right_a medicine_n and_o if_o one_o use_v these_o mean_n they_o shall_v find_v help_n the_o hurt_n be_v cure_v thus_o much_o for_o wastfulnesse_n the_o next_o be_v niggardliness_n a_o base_a covetous_a needy_a and_o evil_a eye_n when_o one_o can_v find_v in_o his_o heart_n to_o take_v his_o part_n of_o the_o thing_n god_n have_v bestow_v upon_o he_o but_o will_v serve_v and_o pinch_v himself_o and_o rob_v himself_o of_o the_o use_n of_o that_o which_o he_o have_v in_o his_o own_o keep_n this_o be_v as_o bad_a as_o if_o he_o shall_v do_v the_o same_o to_o a_o other_o all_o be_v one_o to_o bring_v poverty_n upon_o a_o other_o by_o wrong_v he_o and_o to_o bring_v a_o needless_a need_n upon_o himself_o by_o wrong_v himself_o it_o be_v a_o most_o miserable_a and_o base_a thing_n for_o one_o to_o restrain_v himself_o of_o his_o lawful_a liberty_n in_o meat_n drink_n apparel_n and_o honest_a recreation_n where_o god_n have_v not_o abridge_v he_o this_o sin_n the_o wise_a man_n set_v forth_o eccles_n 2._o 26._o where_o he_o speak_v of_o two_o sort_n both_o for_o their_o body_n &_o their_o sleep_n and_o every_o thing_n as_o the_o saint_n of_o god_n be_v unto_o christ_n jesus_n let_v they_o repent_v of_o there_o thievery_n and_o not_o brag_v of_o their_o honesty_n &_o say_v they_o will_v defy_v he_o that_o will_v call_v they_o thief_n for_o than_o they_o must_v defy_v god_n for_o he_o will_v tell_v they_o they_o be_v thief_n that_o will_v
