and_o to_o be_v sure_a that_o our_o crazy_a imagination_n by_o brood_v upon_o the_o frame_n of_o they_o within_o have_v not_o hatch_v something_o of_o its_o own_o and_o adopt_v it_o scripture_n to_o the_o mind_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n reveal_v in_o the_o scripture_n which_o be_v the_o spirit_n directory_n and_o who_o by_o the_o command_n exhortation_n and_o promise_n therein_o or_o the_o honeycomb_n nor_o yet_o ink_n and_o paper-divinity_n or_o mere_o the_o word_n and_o work_n of_o man_n these_o be_v too_o low_a a_o opinion_n of_o they_o but_o positive_o first_o we_o intend_v the_o sense_n and_o matter_n by_o they_o express_v contain_v those_o history_n prophecy_n promise_n 6._o threaten_n doctrine_n exhortation_n etc._n etc._n which_o god_n at_o sundry_a time_n and_o in_o divers_a manner_n reveal_v to_o and_o speak_v by_o his_o son_n and_o servant_n inspire_v by_o god_n or_o by_o inspiration_n of_o god_n second_o the_o sense_n and_o matter_n aforesaid_a be_v 7._o write_v or_o print_v we_o call_v the_o word_n of_o god_n so_o far_o as_o the_o print_n or_o writing_n agree_v in_o its_o kind_n with_o the_o original_a copy_n which_o be_v write_v by_o or_o by_o speak_v by_o wicked_a man_n or_o the_o devil_n 3_o that_o this_o title_n be_v peculiar_a to_o jesus_n christ_n the_o son_n of_o god_n first_o they_o deny_v they_o to_o be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n in_o the_o 2._o singular_a number_n i_o must_v therefore_o in_o deal_v with_o this_o great_a criticism_n reconcile_v the_o plural_a number_n to_o the_o singular_a i_o answer_v it_o sound_v methinks_v very_o harsh_o that_o not_o one_o word_n in_o the_o scripture_n shall_v be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n because_o there_o be_v in_o they_o more_o word_n than_o one_o sure_o if_o the_o first_o 2_o 3_o 4_o and_o so_o on_o be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n than_o every_o word_n in_o it_o be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o never_o the_o less_o but_o rather_o the_o more_o for_o be_v unite_v for_o that_o there_o be_v few_o single_a word_n which_o stand_v alone_o will_v signify_v any_o thing_n whereas_o divers_a put_v together_o have_v a_o sense_n and_o signification_n and_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o the_o scripture_n consider_v together_o do_v signify_v the_o mind_n of_o god_n more_o complete_o then_o if_o it_o be_v dismember_v and_o consider_v apart_o but_o i_o know_v they_o aim_v at_o more_o than_o a_o mere_a 3._o grammar-nicety_n at_o which_o kind_n of_o fail_n they_o use_v not_o much_o to_o quarrel_v but_o be_v rather_o affect_v with_o they_o as_o if_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n delight_v in_o
