that_o be_v take_v up_o any_o employment_n either_o of_o body_n or_o mind_n about_o any_o of_o those_o affair_n which_o may_v proper_o becal_v our_o own_o such_o as_o be_v all_o our_o secular_a heavenly_a mind_v in_o the_o use_n of_o earthly_a thing_n but_o on_o the_o sabbath_n day_n he_o be_v to_o be_v whole_o heavenly_a mind_v in_o the_o use_n of_o heavenly_a thing_n all_o then_o that_o can_v be_v make_v good_a in_o this_o parcular_a be_v only_o this_o that_o adam_n in_o some_o respect_v less_o need_v a_o sabbath_n than_o we_o do_v whence_o can_v possible_o be_v infer_v that_o he_o therefore_o need_v none_o at_o all_o nay_o upon_o the_o same_o ground_n it_o will_v follow_v that_o because_o he_o be_v ripe_a in_o knowledge_n strong_a in_o faith_n and_o more_o quicken_v and_o conference_n prayer_n read_v or_o hear_v god_n word_n etc._n etc._n these_o duty_n or_o the_o most_o part_n of_o they_o must_v have_v a_o place_n in_o our_o daily_a employment_n but_o must_v be_v so_o our_o whole_a work_n upon_o the_o sabbath_n day_n as_o the_o work_n of_o our_o ordinary_a calling_n ought_v to_o be_v on_o the_o other_o six_o day_n this_o then_o be_v the_o brief_a sum_n of_o the_o law_n after_o which_o there_o follow_v a_o large_a explication_n thereof_o describe_v more_o full_o and_o clear_o what_o god_n mean_v by_o that_o day_n which_o he_o call_v the_o sabbath_n what_o give_v the_o full_a answer_n hereunto_o let_v we_o examine_v what_o rest_n be_v enjoin_v the_o jew_n that_o we_o may_v discover_v wherein_o the_o burthensomenesse_n of_o that_o rest_n consist_v nothing_o to_o his_o purpose_n in_o this_o disputation_n unless_o it_o be_v to_o show_v the_o ground_n of_o man_n rest_n at_o the_o same_o time_n it_o may_v sufficient_o satisfy_v any_o man_n that_o be_v willing_a to_o be_v guide_v by_o reason_n notwithstanding_o as_o we_o have_v take_v notice_n of_o the_o main_a drift_n at_o which_o the_o apostle_n aim_v in_o this_o disputation_n so_o it_o will_v not_o be_v amiss_o to_o consider_v the_o ground_n which_o the_o apostle_n lay_v for_o the_o raise_n of_o his_o argument_n to_o prove_v then_o that_o david_n threaten_v unbeliever_n to_o be_v although_o it_o be_v not_o express_o mention_v &_o that_o god_n rest_v be_v only_o name_v as_o the_o ground_n of_o the_o institution_n of_o man_n rest_n so_o that_o when_o he_o affirm_v that_o god_n rest_v from_o the_o foundation_n of_o the_o world_n he_o imply_v that_o man_n rest_v with_o he_o at_o the_o same_o time_n see_v as_o we_o have_v show_v the_o whole_a weight_n of_o his_o argument_n soul_n so_o that_o we_o see_v how_o near_o it_o concern_v all_o such_o as_o have_v any_o true_a zeal_n for_o the_o further_a of_o god_n honour_n and_o their_o own_o salvation_n and_o their_o brethren_n to_o endeavour_v by_o all_o the_o mean_n that_o they_o can_v the_o establish_n and_o maintain_v of_o this_o truth_n that_o the_o moral_a law_n give_v by_o god_n to_o adam_n in_o the_o beginning_n and_o renew_v afterward_o by_o moses_n upon_o mount_n sinai_n be_v a_o everlasting_a rule_n leave_v by_o god_n unto_o his_o church_n for_o the_o right_a order_n and_o guide_v they_o in_o all_o their_o way_n the_o premise_n then_o be_v due_o weigh_v and_o lay_v together_o we_o have_v a_o sufficient_a ground_n to_o argue_v in_o this_o manner_n all_o the_o law_n write_v in_o the_o of_o man_n which_o be_v whole_o in_o he_o when_o he_o receive_v this_o law_n from_o god_n and_o consequent_o bind_v all_o those_o who_o be_v partaker_n of_o that_o nature_n it_o must_v needs_o be_v acknowledge_v that_o whatsoever_o command_v we_o find_v therein_o we_o must_v guide_v ourselves_o by_o as_o the_o rule_n of_o our_o practice_n which_o that_o we_o may_v the_o better_a do_v it_o will_v
