thus_o the_o government_n of_o the_o church_n be_v either_o invisible_a viz._n in_o the_o conscience_n or_o visible_a and_o this_o be_v either_o in_o thing_n that_o be_v ecclesiastical_a and_o so_o it_o be_v inward_a in_o respect_n to_o the_o church_n or_o in_o thing_n that_o be_v civil_a and_o so_o it_o be_v outward_a the_o first_o of_o these_o be_v immediate_o exercise_v by_o christ_n the_o second_o mediate_o and_o that_o by_o the_o guide_n of_o the_o church_n as_o his_o deputy_n the_o three_o by_o the_o magistrate_n as_o a_o servant_n of_o christ_n in_o his_o kingdom_n that_o he_o have_v over_o all_o the_o world_n i_o hope_v now_o the_o outward_a and_o inward_a government_n of_o the_o church_n of_o christ_n be_v sufficient_o distinguish_v and_o not_o so_o confound_v as_o to_o be_v the_o cause_n of_o mistake_n about_o it_o but_o now_o let_v we_o see_v whether_o he_o himself_o who_o charge_v other_o with_o this_o confound_a be_v not_o guilty_a of_o it_o and_o do_v not_o formal_a or_o of_o civil_a and_o objective_a government_n of_o the_o church_n we_o be_v to_o seek_v in_o this_o for_o all_o his_o distinction_n 2._o he_o seem_v confuse_o to_o refer_v to_o both_o these_o as_o he_o here_o manage_v the_o distinction_n or_o at_o least_o some_o thing_n seem_v to_o draw_v the_o one_o way_n and_o some_o the_o other_o for_o when_o he_o deny_v christ_n power_n and_o authority_n speak_v of_o in_o the_o scripture_n to_o refer_v to_o the_o outward_a government_n of_o the_o church_n this_o must_v be_v mean_v of_o that_o government_n which_o be_v civil_a not_o of_o visible_a ecclesiastical_a government_n i_o hope_v he_o will_v not_o deny_v that_o to_o be_v a_o part_n of_o christ_n authority_n again_o where_o he_o grant_v christ_n internal_a mediatory_a power_n over_o the_o conscience_n this_o must_v be_v mean_v of_o his_o invisible_a government_n both_o because_o it_o be_v certain_a christ_n have_v such_o a_o power_n and_o our_o author_n here_o deny_v all_o kingdom_n to_o be_v mean_v of_o visible_a ecclesiastical_a government_n and_o make_v they_o speak_v only_o of_o a_o invisible_a government_n over_o the_o conscience_n which_o be_v exercise_v by_o so_o as_o appear_v by_o the_o remain_a controversy_n about_o it_o i_o shall_v first_o show_v the_o danger_n and_o falsehood_n of_o this_o principle_n and_o then_o try_v the_o strength_n of_o what_o he_o say_v for_o the_o establishment_n of_o it_o and_o 1._o i_o argue_v thus_o this_o assertion_n destroy_v itself_o for_o if_o no_o point_n not_o necessary_a to_o salvation_n be_v so_o sure_a that_o we_o must_v necessary_o hold_v it_o in_o order_n to_o peace_n then_o this_o his_o assertion_n fall_v under_o the_o same_o condition_n and_o need_v not_o to_o be_v maintain_v for_o it_o be_v not_o by_o harmony_n of_o affection_n mutual_a forbearance_n and_o a_o prudent_a manage_n and_o conceal_v of_o our_o opinion_n so_o far_o as_o it_o may_v be_v without_o sin_n and_o all_o this_o may_v be_v do_v without_o deny_v that_o which_o we_o differ_v about_o to_o be_v determine_v by_o christ_n and_o assert_v it_o to_o be_v a_o thing_n leave_v indifferent_a and_o if_o this_o be_v not_o particable_a
