coherence_n of_o these_o word_n with_o the_o former_a we_o may_v for_o our_o encouragement_n and_o stir_v up_o ourselves_o to_o the_o performance_n of_o these_o duty_n of_o invocation_n observe_v that_o the_o calf_n of_o our_o lip_n as_o hosea_n call_v the_o sacrifice_n of_o praise_n 14.3_o be_v prefer_v before_o the_o sacrifice_n of_o bull_n and_o the_o sacrifice_n of_o a_o afflict_a soul_n the_o first_o be_v the_o person_n to_o who_o this_o precept_n be_v direct_v namely_o the_o faithful_a man_n as_o appear_v not_o only_o by_o the_o 5._o and_o 7._o verse_n but_o especial_o by_o the_o godly_a have_v their_o time_n of_o trouble_n and_o that_o it_o be_v the_o lot_n of_o the_o faithful_a to_o be_v under_o the_o cross_n and_o to_o be_v exercise_v with_o affliction_n as_o the_o scripture_n elsewhere_o do_v testify_v joh._n 16.20_o 16.20_o you_o shall_v mourn_v say_v our_o saviour_n christ_n to_o the_o faithful_a and_o the_o world_n shall_v rejoice_v you_o shall_v sorrow_n for_o that_o be_v the_o matter_n of_o great_a importance_n which_o offer_v itself_o to_o be_v consider_v of_o in_o the_o unfold_n of_o this_o text_n for_o that_o the_o promise_n be_v not_o to_o be_v understand_v absolute_o &_o general_o of_o every_o prayer_n of_o every_o man_n in_o every_o affliction_n the_o experiennce_n of_o all_o time_n do_v sufficient_o declare_v but_o by_o conference_n of_o this_o promise_n which_o other_o place_n of_o scripture_n it_o may_v appear_v that_o it_o do_v admit_v a_o threefold_a limitation_n or_o restraint_n the_o first_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o party_n
