reflection_n upon_o the_o church_n if_o its_o practice_n have_v not_o agree_v with_o the_o law_n of_o christ_n though_o so_o plain_a and_o express_v a_o law_n ought_v neither_o to_o loose_v its_o force_n nor_o its_o meaning_n by_o any_o subsequent_a practice_n i_o have_v so_o great_a a_o regard_n and_o honour_n for_o the_o catholic_a church_n that_o i_o do_v not_o believe_v it_o can_v be_v guilty_a of_o any_o practice_n so_o contrary_a to_o the_o law_n of_o christ_n as_o communion_n in_o one_o kind_n and_o i_o have_v therefore_o full_o show_v that_o its_o practice_n have_v always_o agree_v with_o this_o law_n in_o opposition_n to_o de_fw-fr meaux_n who_o false_o reproach_n the_o church_n with_o a_o practice_n contrary_a to_o it_o his_o design_n be_v to_o destroy_v the_o law_n of_o christ_n by_o the_o practice_n of_o the_o church_n i_o be_v to_o defend_v the_o practice_n of_o the_o church_n as_o agreeable_a to_o and_o found_v upon_o the_o law_n of_o christ_n but_o the_o law_n of_o christ_n ought_v to_o take_v place_n and_o be_v antecedent_n both_o to_o the_o church_n practice_n and_o the_o church_n authority_n as_o to_o tradition_n which_o be_v the_o main_a thing_n the_o better_a evidence_n and_o i_o do_v not_o doubt_v but_o we_o may_v venture_v the_o cause_n upon_o the_o strength_n of_o that_o but_o there_o be_v another_o more_o considerable_a plea_n which_o be_v prior_n to_o tradition_n and_o which_o as_o the_o meaux_n own_v 201._o own_v p._n 201._o be_v the_o necessary_a ground_n work_n of_o it_o and_o that_o be_v scripture_n or_o the_o command_n and_o institution_n of_o christ_n contain_v in_o scripture_n which_o be_v so_o plain_a and_o manifest_a that_o it_o may_v be_v very_o well_o understand_v by_o all_o without_o the_o help_n of_o tradition_n i_o do_v not_o therefore_o make_v any_o manner_n of_o exception_n to_o tradition_n in_o this_o case_n only_o i_o will_v set_v it_o in_o its_o right_a place_n and_o not_o find_v the_o law_n of_o christ_n upon_o tradition_n but_o tradition_n upon_o the_o law_n of_o christ_n and_o i_o be_o willing_a to_o admit_v it_o as_o far_o as_o de_fw-fr meaux_n please_v with_o this_o reasonable_a proviso_n that_o it_o do_v not_o interpret_v we_o out_o of_o a_o plain_a law_n nor_o make_v void_a any_o command_n of_o god_n that_o may_v be_v know_v without_o it_o i_o have_v therefore_o prevent_v the_o meaux_n in_o all_o he_o bring_v for_o tradition_n and_o the_o practice_n of_o the_o church_n unless_o he_o will_v lay_v so_o great_a stress_n upon_o that_o as_o to_o make_v it_o null_a and_o
