be_v nor_o as_o the_o prophet_n be_v nor_o as_o the_o apostle_n be_v nor_o have_v such_o a_o infallible_a gift_n nor_o spirit_n of_o discern_v so_o as_o their_o word_n and_o sermon_n be_v no_o more_o to_o be_v believe_v then_o the_o word_n of_o the_o scripture_n prove_v and_o people_n be_v to_o try_v all_o and_o to_o try_v spirit_n and_o so_o trust_v and_o now_o friend_n not_o believe_v sermon_n too_o sudden_o because_o their_o sermon_n be_v not_o very_a scripture_n but_o interpretation_n to_o their_o light_n and_o light_n may_v be_v darken_v with_o carnal_a reason_n and_o interest_n 2._o that_o these_o minister_n who_o preach_v so_o for_o presbytery_n through_o blood_n and_o persecution_n now_o do_v but_o a_o few_o year_n since_o preach_v as_o confident_o for_o the_o service-book_n for_o bishop_n or_o against_o the_o presbytery_n &_o our_o brethren_n of_o scotland_n 3._o that_o these_o minister_n that_o preach_v nothing_o but_o presbytery_n government_n and_o divine_a right_n yet_o never_o try_v it_o in_o their_o life_n nor_o live_v in_o the_o experience_n of_o it_o but_o have_v it_o by_o report_n and_o by_o idaea_n or_o model_n or_o landship_n from_o other_o country_n and_o some_o specious_a scripture_n 4._o that_o these_o minister_n who_o will_v press_v the_o covenant_n against_o popery_n and_o episcopacy_n root_n and_o branch_n yet_o will_v be_v content_a though_o bishop_n be_v unlawful_a to_o say_v the_o bishop_n hand_n which_o ordain_v they_o be_v not_o and_o that_o bishop_n can_v make_v they_o minister_n of_o christ_n though_o they_o be_v antichrist_n themselves_o and_o that_o episcopacy_n can_v make_v a_o lawful_a ministry_n 5._o that_o these_o minister_n who_o preach_v against_o dean_n and_o archdeacon_n and_o prelate_n as_o unlawful_a can_v be_v content_a very_o well_o with_o their_o maintenance_n their_o tithe_n be_v not_o popish_a nor_o the_o profit_n nor_o revenue_n be_v not_o against_o covenant_n people_n look_v a_o little_a into_o these_o man_n that_o hold_v there_o be_v no_o popery_n in_o any_o thing_n that_o make_v they_o rich_a or_o maintain_v they_o be_v this_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o cross_n and_o selfe-deniall_n 6._o that_o these_o minister_n who_o preach_v against_o plurality_n yet_o now_o a_o etc._n mastership_n of_o a_o college_n and_o a_o great_a live_n or_o two_o of_o some_o hundred_o a_o year_n with_o chaplainship_n as_o they_o common_o have_v and_o two_o or_o three_o great_a lecture_n in_o conjunction_n with_o a_o great_a live_n be_v not_o plurality_n nor_o must_v be_v account_v so_o nay_o for_o a_o presbyter_n to_o have_v two_o live_n be_v no_o plurality_n now_o but_o for_o a_o prelate_n to_o have_v they_o be_v undoubted_o so_o by_o the_o same_o tenure_n the_o prelate_n former_o live_v at_o court_n and_o in_o lord_n house_n and_o hold_v live_n as_o they_o in_o the_o assembly_n now_o by_o their_o attendance_n there_o 7._o that_o these_o minister_n who_o pretend_v to_o so_o much_o light_n and_o certainty_n of_o truth_n yet_o after_o two_o year_n reason_v and_o proof_n have_v not_o be_v able_a to_o prove_v their_o way_n of_o government_n from_o scripture_n so_o as_o there_o be_v so_o many_o excellent_a query_n propound_v from_o the_o honourable_a parliament_n which_o lie_v unanswered_a unless_o the_o minister_n intend_v to_o resolve_v the_o parliament_n some_o other_o way_n by_o make_v the_o tumult_n more_o and_o their_o answer_n less_o for_o their_o book_n and_o sermon_n speak_v no_o less_o be_v ever_o reformation_n but_o where_o the_o red_a dragon_n be_v in_o the_o pulpit_n preach_v for_o in_o so_o much_o blood_n and_o i_o pray_v friend_n be_v all_o thing_n so_o true_a as_o they_o tell_v you_o our_o great_a and_o wise_a counsel_n can_v see_v no_o such_o thing_n in_o it_o yet_o and_o since_o you_o expect_v your_o government_n from_o the_o parliament_n i_o pray_v go_v not_o before_o they_o in_o your_o judgement_n but_o stay_v and_o examine_v as_o they_o do_v 8._o that_o the_o mystery_n of_o the_o popish_a ministry_n have_v ever_o be_v to_o lead_v the_o people_n and_o stir_v up_o the_o people_n either_o by_o merit_n or_o martyrdom_n or_o ministry_n and_o therefore_o the_o poor_a soul_n of_o england_n have_v give_v away_o all_o their_o land_n once_o to_o monk_n and_o friar_n and_o will_v all_o fight_n for_o the_o holy_a land_n and_o the_o king_n and_o prince_n their_o power_n to_o do_v with_o as_o they_o please_v and_o all_o be_v as_o the_o priest_n say_v for_o religion_n too_o all_o as_o the_o holy_a church_n say_v and_o now_o merit_n martyrdom_n and_o ministry_n carry_v all_o before_o they_o yet_o in_o some_o measure_n though_o not_o in_o so_o much_o england_n have_v see_v so_o much_o as_o to_o take_v much_o of_o their_o land_n again_o and_o tithe_n again_o from_o the_o ministry_n and_o the_o parliament_n have_v see_v so_o much_o as_o a_o little_a to_o debate_v religion_n with_o the_o synod_n and_o this_o parliament_n have_v see_v more_o by_o how_o much_o they_o have_v reason_v dispute_v quaery_v with_o their_o minister_n when_o do_v ever_o england_n see_v so_o much_o liberty_n before_o when_o dare_v parliament_n talk_v with_o their_o minister_n till_o now_o and_o friend_n let_v not_o the_o old_a popish_a thing_n of_o merit_n martyrdom_n and_o ministry_n carry_v we_o away_o as_o they_o do_v i_o remember_v a_o excellent_a say_n report_v of_o general_n lesley_n to_o our_o noble_n and_o gâ—ntry_n when_o they_o be_v ready_a to_o fight_v for_o bishop_n to_o this_o purpose_n shall_v we_o lose_v our_o blood_n malignant_n and_o cavalier_n yet_o can_v love_v they_o or_o use_v they_o otherwise_o then_o in_o design_n to_o help_v up_o with_o the_o government_n and_o then_o leave_v they_o und_fw-ge persecute_v they_o under_o the_o same_o notion_n with_o we_o as_o heretic_n use_v they_o now_o as_o the_o israelite_n do_v the_o gibeonite_n as_o hewer_n of_o wood_n and_o drawer_n of_o water_n and_o then_o what_o will_v become_v of_o these_o poor_a soul_n who_o have_v help_v up_o the_o presbyter_n into_o the_o room_n of_o the_o bishop_n to_o be_v sure_a they_o shall_v neither_o have_v
