quaker_n know_v that_o we_o be_v guard_v by_o a_o bettâ—r_a law_n than_o what_o they_o upbraid_v we_o with_o its_o time_n to_o be_v ashamed_a that_o you_o have_v be_v so_o long_o guard_v by_o a_o who_o power_n every_o man_n be_v bring_v in_o to_o the_o world_n and_o if_o j._n s._n do_v but_o understand_v as_o we_o do_v that_o some_o love_v the_o light_n and_o some_o hate_v it_o such_o as_o hate_v it_o deny_v christ_n he_o that_o love_v it_o receive_v christ_n who_o know_v this_o strange_n not_o i.s._n wonder_v show_v his_o ignorance_n who_o will_v secret_o charge_v we_o to_o be_v bewitch_v with_o a_o notion_n of_o account_v nature_n grace_n which_o we_o do_v not_o and_o it_o be_v his_o own_o condition_n he_o that_o conceive_v lie_n believe_v they_o and_o tell_v they_o be_v the_o
prayer_n in_o the_o spirit_n and_o who_o be_v move_v by_o the_o spirit_n morning_n or_o evening_n or_o at_o meal_n or_o otherwise_o and_o this_o be_v truth_n let_v j.s._n gather_v what_o he_o can_v from_o it_o further_o he_o say_v if_o we_o teach_v one_o another_o why_o do_v we_o condemn_v they_o for_o teach_v but_o to_o this_o i_o have_v answer_v preach_v or_o teach_v by_o the_o spirit_n we_o own_o and_o without_o the_o spirit_n we_o deny_v and_o because_o we_o say_v we_o own_o all_o that_o which_o be_v god_n as_o baptism_n the_o lord_n supper_n and_o sabbath_n etc._n etc._n yet_o do_v disow_v in_o practice_n their_o water_n baptism_n and_o their_o form_n of_o break_v of_o bread_n and_o wine_n and_o their_o form_n of_o church_n fellowship_n and_o their_o form_n of_o keep_v a_o sabbath_n this_o he_o charge_v to_o be_v contradiction_n but_o it_o be_v not_o so_o in_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o lord_n though_o i.s._n false_o so_o judge_v it_o for_o their_o baptism_n and_o break_n of_o bread_n and_o wine_n and_o their_o church-fellowship_n and_o keep_v of_o a_o day_n i_o say_v their_o exercise_n in_o these_o thing_n we_o do_v deny_v to_o be_v of_o god_n as_o in_o measure_n be_v prove_v and_o may_v be_v further_o if_o need_v require_v and_o i_o say_v we_o own_o that_o which_o be_v god_n and_o which_o be_v lead_v unto_o by_o his_o spirit_n and_o practise_v in_o his_o fear_n and_o counsel_n &_o yet_o we_o do_v deny_v all_o their_o imagination_n of_o any_o thing_n which_o god_n command_v do_v own_o the_o command_n of_o god_n and_o yet_o do_v not_o contradict_v ourselves_o contradict_v ourselves_o further_o he_o say_v we_o contradict_v ourselves_o concern_v conscience_n and_o law_n because_o we_o say_v there_o must_v be_v no_o law_n concern_v religion_n viz_o to_o bind_v any_o man_n to_o worship_n in_o this_o or_o the_o other_o way_n and_o to_o bind_v he_o from_o this_o or_o that_o way_n of_o worship_n and_o yet_o in_o exhort_v the_o ruler_n that_o their_o conscience_n that_o law_n will_v not_o bind_v or_o limit_v the_o conscience_n from_o this_o or_o that_o way_n of_o worship_n in_o religion_n for_o that_o law_n be_v unjust_a which_o bind_v or_o limit_n the_o pure_a conscience_n of_o any_o man_n but_o that_o law_n which_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o light_n in_o every_o man_n conscience_n be_v oppression_n and_o we_o bear_v witness_n against_o to_o or_o from_o this_o or_o that_o manner_n of_o religion_n and_o this_o do_v very_o well_o agree_v with_o our_o say_n let_v all_o your_o law_n be_v according_a to_o the_o light_n of_o christ_n so_o by_o his_o misinterpretation_n of_o the_o first_o he_o make_v it_o appear_v to_o be_v contradiction_n to_o the_o second_o but_o it_o be_v not_o in_o the_o light_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o further_o r._n f._n say_v the_o law_n of_o god_n answer_v his_o justice_n and_o the_o light_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o conscience_n answer_v the_o law_n of_o god_n which_o be_v perfect_a according_a to_o that_o in_o the_o conscience_n these_o word_n j._n s._n charge_n with_o two_o error_n but_o let_v the_o reader_n try_v where_o the_o error_n lie_v and_o not_o believe_v j._n saint_n false_a rather_o a_o terror_n to_o well-doer_n then_o to_o evil_a and_o such_o magistrate_n and_o such_o law_n by_o which_o the_o just_a be_v oppress_v and_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o wicked_a strengthen_v will_n the_o lord_n confound_v in_o a_o day_n to_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o name_n and_o to_o the_o refresh_n of_o all_o his_o people_n who_o be_v now_o every_o way_n oppress_v by_o evil_a man_n of_o this_o testimony_n by_o obey_v the_o light_n which_o christ_n have_v enlighten_v they_o withal_o thereby_o shall_v they_o know_v whether_o this_o doctrine_n be_v of_o god_n or_o whether_o we_o let_v the_o wise_a reader_n judge_n whether_o his_o proof_n be_v any_o such_o thing_n only_o his_o lie_n will_v prove_v what_o he_o say_v he_o say_v we_o hold_v christ_n to_o be_v in_o all_o this_o be_v his_o lie_n for_o we_o say_v christ_n be_v not_o in_o the_o reprobate_n neither_o do_v we_o ever_o affirm_v that_o christ_n be_v not_o in_o the_o reprobate_n and_o so_o be_v not_o in_o all_o neither_o do_v we_o concern_v justification_n contradict_v ourselves_o in_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n though_o so_o it_o may_v appear_v to_o j._n s._n blind_a mind_n and_o so_o will_v make_v it_o appear_v to_o other_o by_o blind_a argument_n by_o his_o own_o meaning_n again_o j._n s._n will_v charge_v self-contradiction_n upon_o we_o because_o we_o bear_v witness_n to_o the_o new-covenant_n and_o do_v say_v the_o child_n of_o god_n be_v teach_v of_o god_n and_o needs_o no_o man_n to_o teach_v they_o but_o as_o the_o anoint_v within_o they_o and_o yet_o do_v write_v and_o print_v here_o he_o say_v we_o condemn_v in_o other_o what_o we_o allow_v in_o ourselves_o now_o to_o all_o honest_a people_n this_o be_v no_o contradiction_n neither_o a_o condemn_v in_o other_o what_o we_o allow_v in_o ourselves_o for_o therefore_o we_o write_v and_o print_n and_o speak_v that_o all_o may_v come_v to_o the_o knowledge_n of_o this_o thing_n &_o may_v be_v convert_v to_o god_n and_o know_v his_o teach_n within_o they_o but_o what_o will_v j._n s._n have_v say_v of_o john_n who_o tell_v they_o they_o need_v no_o man_n to_o teach_v they_o but_o as_o that_o within_o they_o and_o yet_o do_v write_v epistle_n to_o they_o â—ery_o like_v he_o will_v have_v call_v this_o contradiction_n and_o the_o same_o be_v our_o cause_n who_o do_v and_o must_v do_v though_o j._n s._n and_o his_o companion_n be_v grieve_v therewith_o because_o their_o folly_n be_v lay_v open_a thereby_o print_n and_o write_v and_o speak_v that_o people_n through_o the_o ministry_n be_v bring_v to_o know_v the_o teach_n of_o god_n in_o themselves_o and_o yet_o herein_o in_o the_o light_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n do_v we_o not_o contradict_v ourselves_o let_v j.s._n say_v what_o he_o will_v neither_o do_v we_o allow_v in_o ourselves_o what_o we_o condemn_v in_o another_o this_o be_v one_o of_o j.s._n his_o lie_n we_o allow_v the_o ministry_n of_o christ_n yet_o do_v not_o allow_v the_o ministry_n of_o deceiver_n and_o yet_o be_v not_o in_o contradiction_n and_o this_o in_o short_a may_v give_v the_o reader_n to_o understand_v the_o deceit_n and_o deceivableness_n to_o lie_v in_o j._n s._n who_o be_v find_v seek_v offence_n against_o we_o without_o any_o cause_n give_v he_o and_o he_o lay_v snare_n for_o another_o which_o do_v entrap_v his_o own_o foot_n and_o whereas_o he_o have_v transcribe_v e_z b_o his_o confession_n in_o the_o warn_n to_o underbarrow_n which_o confession_n be_v still_o own_a and_o no_o self-contradiction_n prove_v by_o it_o for_o though_o god_n speak_v by_o g.f._n to_o he_o yet_o this_o do_v not_o contradict_v the_o teach_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n as_o that_o e._n b._n be_v not_o teach_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n for_o as_o i_o have_v say_v g._n f._n do_v minister_n as_o many_o do_v at_o this_o day_n that_o people_n shall_v come_v to_o the_o teach_n of_o god_n in_o themselves_o and_o herein_o we_o do_v not_o contradict_v the_o scripture_n let_v j._n s_o make_v as_o many_o blind_a argument_n as_o he_o can_v and_o that_o instance_n about_o j._n l._n be_v of_o the_o same_o nature_n with_o the_o former_a the_o answer_n supply_v both_o his_o proof_n neither_o of_o which_o do_v prove_v we_o in_o contradiction_n but_o be_v a_o witness_n to_o the_o ministry_n of_o christ_n and_o to_o the_o conversion_n receive_v through_o it_o wherein_o we_o be_v teach_v of_o god_n and_o need_v no_o man_n to_o teach_v we_o but_o as_o the_o anoint_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n within_o we_o which_o be_v immediate_a and_o yet_o we_o preach_v the_o gospel_n to_o other_o that_o they_o may_v come_v to_o witness_v the_o same_o with_o we_o even_o the_o teach_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o for_o this_o end_n be_v the_o ministry_n of_o god_n
