elohim_n and_o this_o name_n of_o god_n be_v communicable_a and_o be_v oftentimes_o in_o scripture_n apply_v unto_o other_o creature_n both_o angel_n and_o man_n yet_o not_o to_o such_o man_n only_o as_o have_v kingly_a dignity_n but_o unto_o all_o ruler_n and_o governor_n whatsoever_o as_o we_o may_v see_v psal_n 82.1_o where_o it_o be_v say_v god_n stand_v in_o the_o congregation_n of_o the_o mighty_a he_o judge_v among_o the_o go_n and_o in_o the_o word_n follow_v the_o psalmist_n incite_v and_o stir_v they_o up_o to_o the_o performance_n of_o their_o duty_n in_o their_o place_n say_v how_o long_o will_v you_o judge_v unjust_o and_o accept_v the_o person_n of_o the_o wicked_a defend_v the_o poor_a and_o fatherless_a do_v justice_n to_o the_o afflicted_a and_o needy_a deliver_v the_o poor_a and_o needy_a rid_v they_o out_o of_o the_o hand_n of_o the_o wicked_a then_o in_o the_o 6._o verse_n again_o he_o say_v i_o have_v say_v you_o be_v god_n etc._n etc._n in_o all_o this_o here_o we_o see_v there_o be_v not_o a_o word_n speak_v of_o king_n in_o particular_a but_o general_o this_o phrase_n be_v apply_v unto_o all_o ruler_n and_o magistrate_n whatsoever_o and_o beside_o we_o know_v that_o the_o duty_n before_o speak_v of_o be_v proper_a to_o they_o as_o well_o as_o unto_o king_n moreover_o i_o do_v not_o know_v in_o all_o the_o scripture_n where_o this_o word_n elohim_n be_v so_o particular_o apply_v unto_o king_n as_o it_o so_o be_v in_o regard_n thereof_o they_o shall_v be_v less_o accountable_a for_o their_o action_n then_o any_o other_o ruler_n so_o people_n i_o say_v consider_v together_o of_o those_o that_o by_o especial_a consent_n of_o all_o the_o people_n do_v represent_v the_o whole_a but_o here_o it_o may_v be_v say_v how_o say_v you_o so_o the_o word_n run_v stand_v not_o in_o a_o evil_a thing_n for_o he_o do_v whatsoever_o he_o please_v then_o for_o the_o word_n follow_v which_o be_v quote_v by_o those_o that_o stand_v for_o the_o unlimited_a prerogative_n they_o have_v respect_n also_o to_o the_o same_o and_o so_o it_o be_v most_o true_a that_o where_o the_o word_n of_o a_o king_n be_v there_o be_v power_n if_o speak_v as_o infinite_o wise_a have_v in_o his_o unsearchable_a understanding_n appoint_v government_n as_o the_o only_a mean_n for_o his_o people_n happy_a and_o well_o be_v here_o on_o earth_n shall_v leave_v his_o people_n in_o such_o a_o condition_n that_o if_o so_o be_v the_o mean_n and_o instrument_n which_o he_o have_v ordain_v for_o their_o good_a shall_v rise_v up_o against_o they_o to_o their_o destruction_n they_o shall_v have_v no_o power_n lest_o they_o to_o help_v themselves_o nor_o mean_n to_o provide_v for_o their_o own_o safety_n but_o must_v be_v fain_o to_o submit_v themselves_o to_o their_o will_n and_o pleasure_n how_o do_v this_o exceed_o reflect_v upon_o the_o wisdom_n and_o providence_n of_o god_n and_o be_v it_o not_o manifest_a and_o apparent_a that_o god_n end_n and_o intention_n in_o government_n be_v hereby_o quite_o frustrate_v and_o void_a so_o as_o that_o that_o which_o he_o have_v appoint_v for_o his_o people_n great_a benefit_n and_o security_n shall_v what_o friend_n they_o be_v unto_o they_o whatsoever_o they_o may_v pretend_v who_o will_v make_v king_n of_o all_o other_o the_o most_o miserable_a by_o ascribe_v unto_o they_o a_o unrestrained_a speak_v of_o require_v passive_a as_o well_o as_o active_a obedience_n for_o what_o be_v here_o say_v unto_o king_n be_v oftentimes_o in_o this_o book_n and_o else_o where_o say_v unto_o the_o people_n and_o i_o believe_v there_o be_v none_o will_v say_v but_o that_o they_o be_v require_v thereby_o to_o obey_v in_o both_o kind_n why_o not_o king_n then_o as_o well_o as_o other_o for_o here_o be_v no_o exception_n nay_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n here_o give_v we_o a_o sufficient_a reason_n that_o they_o ought_v so_o to_o do_v in_o the_o word_n follow_v for_o so_o it_o be_v say_v lest_o his_o heart_n be_v lift_v up_o above_o his_o brethren_n he_o foresee_v what_o mischief_n will_v come_v of_o it_o if_o king_n shall_v have_v any_o such_o unlimited_a power_n allow_v they_o and_o
