of_o the_o goodness_n and_o bountifulness_n of_o god_n in_o these_o blessing_n towards_o they_o in_o christ_n the_o speech_n of_o the_o one_o as_o it_o be_v without_o feeling_n so_o be_v it_o fectles_a and_o without_o force_n they_o can_v speak_v of_o his_o goodness_n and_o not_o give_v he_o glory_n whereas_o the_o other_o be_v force_v by_o their_o feeling_n to_o glorify_v god_n because_o he_o be_v good_a his_o love_n in_o their_o heart_n constrain_a they_o as_o say_v the_o apostle_n 5.14_o 2._o cor._n 5.14_o this_o be_v the_o cause_n why_o the_o saint_n in_o god_n word_n have_v make_v to_o render_v he_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o goodness_n to_o they_o alone_o &_o know_v that_o their_o tongue_n and_o lip_n be_v not_o able_a condign_o to_o thank_v he_o they_o have_v call_v on_o their_o soul_n and_o all_o that_o be_v within_o they_o to_o praise_v his_o holy_a name_n this_o serve_v for_o a_o trial_n to_o we_o to_o examine_v ourselves_o in_o what_o sort_n we_o possess_v the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n towards_o man_n in_o christ_n sure_o it_o be_v to_o be_v fear_v that_o there_o be_v small_a sense_n &_o lively_a feel_n of_o it_o within_o we_o when_o thankfulness_n do_v not_o outward_o abound_v in_o our_o speech_n and_o action_n and_o hereby_o may_v we_o just_o esteem_v this_o age_n although_o it_o abound_v in_o knowledge_n yet_o to_o have_v therefore_o do_v the_o apostle_n so_o describe_v he_o in_o this_o place_n christ_n the_o father_n to_o be_v consider_v as_o god_n and_o father_n of_o christ_n in_o the_o which_o there_o be_v two_o thing_n to_o be_v note_v 1._o that_o the_o father_n must_v be_v the_o god_n and_o father_n of_o the_o son_n before_o we_o obtain_v this_o blessing_n 2._o that_o the_o son_n must_v be_v our_o lord_n before_o the_o father_n be_v now_o both_o god_n and_o father_n to_o the_o son_n do_v bestow_v upon_o we_o this_o blessing_n the_o first_o teach_v we_o that_o our_o adoption_n call_v etc._n etc._n be_v in_o and_o for_o christ_n not_o simple_o as_o he_o be_v god_n nor_o simple_o as_o he_o be_v man_n but_o as_o he_o be_v both_o god_n and_o man_n and_o so_o mediator_n betwixt_o god_n and_o man_n for_o as_o he_o be_v man_n the_o father_n be_v his_o god_n and_o so_o do_v he_o himself_o call_v he_o my_o god_n my_o god_n why_o have_v thou_o forsake_v i_o and_o as_o he_o be_v god_n the_o father_n be_v humiliation_n &_o exaltation_n according_a as_o the_o lord_n our_o god_n have_v reveal_v they_o in_o his_o word_n begin_v at_o his_o incarnation_n go_v on_o to_o his_o birth_n in_o great_a baseness_n sin_n and_o give_v of_o eternal_a life_n to_o they_o in_o particular_a be_v nothing_o but_o a_o fantasy_n without_o fruit_n or_o comfort_n here_o be_v then_o the_o chief_a point_n that_o this_o life_n be_v sure_o keep_v &_o that_o for_o us._n neither_o can_v ever_o the_o soul_n of_o a_o poor_a sinner_n receive_v comfort_n until_o it_o be_v say_v to_o his_o soul_n to_o thou_o belong_v remission_n of_o sin_n and_o to_o thou_o be_v reserve_v salvation_n in_o the_o heaven_n then_o be_v his_o heart_n establish_v in_o hope_n thus_o much_o now_o for_o the_o surety_n of_o our_o inheritance_n now_o therefore_o in_o this_o danger_n and_o by_o experience_n try_v ofttimes_o his_o own_o weakness_n and_o the_o strength_n of_o his_o enemy_n in_o his_o manifest_a slyding_n and_o fall_n never_o can_v he_o have_v solid_a comfort_n till_o his_o mind_n be_v assure_v that_o the_o gate_n of_o hell_n shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o prevail_v against_o he_o etc._n 1_o cor._n 4.8_o etc._n etc._n find_v
