unheard_a of_o matter_n that_o church_n shall_v be_v bountiful_a to_o the_o maintenance_n of_o sundry_a sort_n of_o church_n ruler_n who_o be_v mere_o layman_n as_o their_o adversary_n misconceive_v the_o lord_n appoint_v roll_a elder_n according_a to_o the_o simplicity_n of_o the_o gospel_n to_o assist_v his_o minister_n in_o the_o work_n of_o government_n that_o they_o may_v attend_v the_o more_o to_o labour_v in_o the_o word_n if_o they_o shall_v expect_v from_o the_o church_n any_o maintenance_n for_o their_o work_n sake_n oh_o that_o seem_v a_o strange_a matter_n and_o unheard_a of_o from_o all_o antiquity_n till_o this_o present_a age_n the_o second_o reason_n why_o lie_v elder_n as_o they_o miscall_v they_o rule_v elder_n as_o we_o with_o paul_n call_v they_o be_v not_o mean_v commendable_a but_o otherwise_o if_o logician_n be_v good_a as_o well_o in_o judgement_n as_o in_o invention_n and_o so_o perform_v both_o the_o part_n of_o their_o art_n well_o it_o may_v be_v say_v indeed_o that_o they_o be_v commendable_a and_o honourable_a but_o it_o can_v be_v say_v without_o absurdity_n that_o such_o as_o be_v judicious_a be_v more_o commendable_a or_o chief_o to_o be_v honour_v above_o those_o that_o be_v both_o ingenuous_a and_o judicious_a both_o part_n be_v doubtless_o better_o than_o either_o alone_a neither_o will_v the_o absurdity_n be_v help_v by_o say_v
