be_v effective_a of_o grace_n by_o virtue_n of_o a_o peculiar_a and_o special_a promise_n to_o those_o effect_n and_o other_o that_o be_v only_o use_v by_o the_o church_n out_o of_o a_o hope_n that_o our_o prayer_n shall_v be_v hear_v to_o those_o effect_n that_o they_o conceive_v christ_n present_a in_o the_o eucharist_n after_o such_o a_o manner_n as_o it_o do_v no_o way_n appear_v he_o promise_v his_o presence_n therein_o that_o hereupon_o it_o be_v require_v that_o adoration_n due_a to_o god_n alone_o be_v give_v to_o the_o sacrament_n which_o if_o the_o element_n remain_v be_v by_o themselves_o confess_v to_o be_v idolatry_n and_o therefore_o may_v justisiable_o by_o we_o who_o know_v they_o to_o remain_v be_v so_o account_v that_o without_o warrant_n they_o make_v the_o eucharist_n a_o sacrifice_n as_o distinct_a from_o a_o sacrament_n and_o of_o a_o great_a virtue_n as_o a_o sacrifice_n than_o when_o it_o be_v receive_v as_o a_o sacrament_n according_a to_o our_o saviour_n institution_n that_o they_o warrant_v it_o propitiatory_a for_o those_o who_o use_v it_o not_o according_a to_o his_o institution_n whereby_o they_o frustrate_v the_o end_n of_o his_o blessing_n bread_n and_o wine_n and_o command_v it_o to_o be_v receive_v and_o likewise_o void_a the_o necessity_n of_o a_o christian_a life_n apply_v the_o benefit_n of_o christ_n sacrament_n to_o such_o as_o come_v not_o worthy_o to_o partake_v of_o it_o and_o pretend_v it_o efficacious_a to_o ease_v they_o of_o punishment_n which_o they_o be_v to_o suffer_v for_o sin_n after_o death_n that_o whilst_o they_o withhold_v the_o cup_n from_o the_o laity_n they_o void_a christ_n institution_n who_o enjoin_v and_o appoint_v both_o they_o likewise_o rob_v christian_n of_o their_o birthright_n and_o can_v warrant_v one_o part_n of_o this_o sacrament_n beneficial_a to_o all_o those_o effect_n for_o which_o christ_n be_v please_v to_o bless_v both_o bread_n and_o wine_n that_o whilst_o they_o plead_v for_o tradition_n they_o thereby_o endeavour_v to_o obtrude_v upon_o we_o their_o own_o corruption_n and_o by_o these_o instead_o of_o interpret_n pervert_v the_o scripture_n and_o by_o tradition_n of_o man_n have_v indeed_o in_o many_o thing_n make_v void_a the_o comandment_n of_o god_n that_o by_o claim_v a_o authority_n for_o the_o church_n above_o the_o scripture_n which_o they_o do_v to_o justify_v what_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n have_v decree_v against_o they_o they_o do_v indeed_o advance_v a_o authority_n that_o may_v destroy_v our_o common_a christianity_n that_o in_o plead_v their_o pope_n universal_a bishop_n not_o to_o speak_v of_o their_o ambition_n in_o this_o aim_n they_o require_v we_o to_o submit_v to_o a_o authority_n for_o the_o sake_n of_o unity_n which_o be_v not_o only_o none_o of_o god_n ordinance_n but_o such_o as_o experience_n have_v show_v to_o have_v almost_o whole_o destroy_v that_o christianity_n which_o unity_n shall_v preserve_v have_v show_v i_o say_v the_o danger_n of_o these_o doctrine_n in_o particular_a and_o their_o inconsistence_n with_o christianity_n when_o i_o reflect_v upon_o they_o all_o together_o and_o find_v that_o our_o union_n with_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n require_v submission_n to_o they_o all_o must_v conclude_v that_o whatever_o allowance_n may_v be_v make_v in_o some_o one_o of_o they_o provide_v that_o the_o rest_n of_o that_o christian_a truth_n which_o they_o hold_v do_v so_o prevail_v over_o the_o error_n that_o it_o do_v not_o take_v effect_n in_o their_o practice_n to_o god_n dishonour_n or_o the_o subversion_n of_o a_o christian_a life_n yet_o to_o submit_v to_o they_o all_o as_o we_o must_v do_v if_o we_o will_v have_v peace_n with_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n be_v to_o redeem_v the_o communion_n of_o the_o church_n by_o transgress_v that_o christianity_n which_o the_o church_n be_v appoint_v to_o maintain_v and_o absolute_o to_o prostitute_v our_o own_o and_o the_o soul_n commit_v to_o our_o charge_n the_o case_n be_v little_a otherwise_o in_o those_o other_o thing_n which_o m._n condom_n let_v alone_o as_o thing_n of_o themselves_o not_o sufficient_a matter_n of_o separation_n these_o if_o take_v together_o though_o single_o they_o may_v not_o be_v very_o considerable_a render_v the_o mean_n of_o salvation_n very_o difficult_a since_o the_o substance_n of_o christianity_n be_v overwhelm_v and_o choke_v with_o a_o deal_n of_o rubbish_n opinion_n custom_n observation_n ceremony_n etc._n etc._n it_o be_v a_o thing_n very_o difficult_a for_o simple_a christian_n to_o discern_v the_o substance_n from_o the_o shadow_n and_o almost_o impossible_a to_o pass_v through_o such_o a_o multitude_n of_o observation_n custom_n and_o ceremony_n which_o create_v so_o much_o business_n in_o the_o practice_n of_o religion_n and_o upon_o which_o so_o great_a zeal_n be_v spend_v without_o superstition_n and_o will-worship_n and_o a_o fond_a opinion_n of_o those_o service_n place_v their_o hope_n of_o god_n favour_n upon_o these_o carnal_a observation_n and_o humane_a invention_n which_o indeed_o be_v nothing_o to_o the_o reality_n of_o religion_n so_o that_o these_o at_o least_o must_v be_v allow_v to_o add_v to_o that_o mass_n of_o corruption_n which_o they_o seek_v to_o obtrude_v upon_o we_o though_o of_o themselves_o they_o be_v not_o of_o such_o a_o poisonous_a nature_n but_o though_o we_o can_v join_v with_o they_o without_o manifest_a prejudice_n to_o our_o christianity_n yet_o it_o be_v most_o easy_a for_o they_o to_o come_v to_o we_o and_o will_v be_v for_o the_o great_a advantage_n of_o our_o christian_a religion_n as_o even_o themselves_o must_v and_o do_v acknowledge_v for_o first_o those_o doctrine_n which_o be_v establish_v by_o the_o church_n of_o england_n at_o least_o such_o as_o concern_v the_o foundation_n of_o faith_n have_v be_v in_o all_o age_n profess_v by_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n itself_o this_o lawfulness_n of_o the_o practice_n even_o in_o respect_n to_o the_o law_n of_o god_n and_o oppose_v they_o only_o in_o regard_n of_o their_o necessity_n and_o conveniency_n and_o for_o that_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n have_v otherwise_o ordain_v they_o acknowledge_v likewise_o the_o authority_n of_o write_a word_n of_o god_n and_o the_o design_n of_o providence_n in_o their_o be_v write_v for_o
