it_o be_v the_o property_n of_o faith_n to_o give_v unto_o man_n the_o relation_n we_o speak_v of_o i_o mean_v of_o sonship_n unto_o god_n be_v the_o loud_a vote_n of_o the_o scripture_n from_o place_n to_o place_n joh._n 1._o 12._o gal._n 3_o 26._o and_o elsewhere_o and_o if_o faith_n give_v the_o relation_n of_o sonship_n the_o profession_n or_o declaration_n of_o faith_n must_v needs_o give_v knowledge_n of_o this_o relation_n unto_o man_n sect._n 189._o if_o it_o be_v here_o reply_v true_a it_o be_v faith_n profess_v declare_v a_o person_n to_o be_v the_o son_n of_o god_n but_o it_o follow_v not_o from_o hence_o that_o therefore_o it_o qualifi_v for_o baptism_n in_o this_o consideration_n i_o answer_v if_o this_o be_v the_o noble_a and_o high_a consideration_n in_o faith_n must_v it_o need_v be_v the_o high_a consideration_n also_o in_o the_o profession_n of_o it_o that_o it_o declare_v a_o man_n or_o woman_n to_o be_v the_o child_n of_o god_n and_o if_o these_o thing_n be_v so_o it_o undeniable_o follow_v that_o either_o it_o be_v somewhat_o that_o it_o be_v mean_a and_o low_a in_o faith_n and_o so_o in_o the_o profession_n of_o faith_n which_o instate_v man_n in_o a_o capacity_n of_o baptism_n or_o else_o that_o it_o be_v that_o relative_a &_o declarative_a nature_n in_o it_o of_o which_o we_o speak_v which_o thus_o enstate_v they_o now_o than_o if_o baptism_n be_v to_o be_v look_v upon_o as_o a_o matter_n of_o favour_n or_o privilege_n vouchsafe_v by_o god_n unto_o man_n or_o unto_o his_o child_n it_o be_v unreasonable_a to_o conceive_v or_o think_v that_o he_o shall_v confer_v it_o upon_o the_o account_n of_o that_o which_o be_v mean_a and_o less_o considerable_a in_o they_o pass_v by_o that_o which_o be_v more_o excellent_a more_o considerable_a and_o worthy_a 3._o if_o faith_n give_v not_o right_a unto_o baptism_n in_o that_o declarative_a consideration_n mention_v then_o give_v it_o in_o some_o consideration_n relate_v to_o it_o as_o for_o example_n either_o as_o it_o be_v simple_o a_o act_n or_o as_o it_o be_v such_o or_o such_o a_o kind_n of_o act_n or_o as_o it_o relate_v to_o such_o or_o such_o a_o object_n or_o the_o like_a but_o there_o be_v no_o other_o consideration_n in_o faith_n by_o virtue_n whereof_o it_o can_v so_o much_o as_o tolerable_o be_v conceive_v that_o it_o shall_v give_v a_o capacity_n of_o baptism_n
