no_o need_n of_o that_o pleasure_n it_o cut_v you_o short_a of_o what_o have_v you_o lose_v as_o suppose_v pleasantness_n a_o man_n that_o be_v weak_a and_o have_v little_a blood_n or_o spirit_n in_o he_o and_o be_v chill_a and_o cold_a and_o put_v on_o many_o clothes_n to_o keep_v himself_o warm_a if_o these_o clothes_n shall_v be_v all_o take_v away_o save_v only_o his_o inward_a garment_n if_o there_o can_v be_v put_v into_o he_o spirit_n and_o blood_n and_o marrow_n and_o that_o which_o shall_v make_v he_o not_o to_o be_v sensible_a of_o the_o want_n of_o his_o clothes_n it_o be_v a_o great_a deal_n better_o what_o man_n that_o be_v weak_a and_o sickly_a and_o be_v fain_o to_o have_v abundance_n of_o clothes_n to_o keep_v he_o warm_v will_v not_o be_v willing_a to_o part_v with_o his_o clothes_n if_o he_o may_v have_v spirit_n and_o blood_n put_v into_o he_o not_o to_o feel_v the_o want_n of_o those_o clothes_n so_o why_o be_v it_o that_o your_o heart_n be_v set_v upon_o the_o delight_n of_o the_o creature_n because_o you_o want_v a_o principle_n within_o to_o satisfy_v your_o soul_n withal_o and_o therefore_o you_o be_v fain_o to_o seek_v the_o clothing_n of_o the_o creature_n and_o to_o keep_v yourselves_o warm_a with_o the_o clothing_n of_o the_o creature_n but_o if_o religion_n take_v away_o those_o thing_n and_o give_v you_o a_o principle_n not_o to_o feel_v the_o want_n of_o they_o but_o have_v they_o make_v up_o another_o way_n and_o better_o you_o have_v no_o cause_n to_o complain_v of_o the_o want_n of_o pleasantness_n second_o i_o answer_v that_o godliness_n abridge_n we_o of_o 2._o no_o lawful_a pleasure_n if_o it_o abridge_n of_o any_o it_o be_v delightfulness_n to_o want_v those_o delight_v that_o godliness_n abridge_n we_o of_o what_o have_v thou_o delight_v in_o that_o which_o be_v sinful_a if_o it_o be_v not_o sinful_a religion_n do_v not_o abridge_v thou_o of_o it_o only_o such_o delight_n in_o which_o thou_o dishonour_v god_n and_o provoke_v he_o against_o thou_o but_o second_o how_o be_v the_o way_n of_o god_n way_n quest_n of_o pleasantness_n when_o they_o require_v abundance_n of_o humiliation_n trouble_v for_o sin_n principle_n of_o it_o be_v the_o melt_a work_n of_o the_o gospel_n in_o the_o 1._o soul_n the_o sweetness_n of_o the_o goodness_n and_o mercy_n of_o god_n in_o jesus_n christ_n melt_v the_o heart_n and_o cause_v it_o to_o dissolve_v and_o fall_v down_o under_o the_o hand_n of_o god_n certain_o that_o which_o come_v from_o such_o a_o sweet_a principle_n can_v have_v much_o bitterness_n in_o it_o second_o the_o soul_n in_o the_o work_n of_o humiliation_n melt_v before_o the_o lord_n ease_v itself_o in_o that_o melt_a 2._o of_o abundance_n of_o sin_n and_o much_o sweetness_n there_o must_v needs_o be_v in_o those_o tear_n that_o ease_v the_o soul_n of_o and_o deliver_v the_o soul_n from_o much_o sin_n three_o in_o the_o work_n of_o humiliation_n there_o be_v much_o delight_n because_o the_o soul_n have_v much_o delight_n in_o look_v 3._o back_o to_o that_o sorrow_n it_o have_v have_v and_o if_o godliness_n ber._n make_v mourning_n to_o be_v delightful_a what_o do_v it_o make_v rejoice_v to_o be_v but_o if_o it_o be_v say_v in_o the_o three_o place_n but_o there_o be_v many_o hardthing_n that_o god_n people_n do_v meet_v withal_o in_o the_o way_n of_o godliness_n and_o the_o way_n of_o godliness_n quest_n put_v they_o upon_o such_o thing_n as_o cause_v they_o to_o meet_v 3._o with_o sore_a temptation_n and_o trial_n here_o in_o the_o world_n how_o then_o can_v the_o way_n of_o godliness_n be_v so_o pleasant_a to_o that_o i_o answer_v here_o be_v a_o mighty_a commendation_n answ_n to_o the_o pleasantness_n of_o the_o way_n of_o religion_n notwithstanding_o the_o hard_a and_o sore_a thing_n a_o godly_a heart_n meet_v with_o there_o be_v that_o delight_n in_o the_o way_n of_o godliness_n as_o uphold_v the_o heart_n under_o all_o and_o carry_v the_o heart_n sweet_o estate_n that_o can_v be_v the_o high_a testimony_n of_o give_v your_o respect_n to_o god_n whereby_o the_o soul_n enjoy_v most_o of_o god_n all_o time_n the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o glory_n rest_v upon_o the_o soul_n while_o it_o be_v endure_v such_o thing_n and_o how_o opposite_a be_v thy_o heart_n and_o
while_o their_o heart_n be_v narrow_a and_o they_o can_v receive_v much_o from_o god_n but_o the_o saint_n look_v for_o good_a hereafter_o when_o their_o heart_n shall_v be_v enlarge_v when_o as_o the_o wicked_a when_o their_o soul_n shall_v be_v enlarge_v they_o shall_v have_v nothing_o but_o misery_n there_o be_v a_o twofold_a love_n when_o one_o volentiae_fw-la shall_v will_v only_o good_a there_o be_v a_o communication_n on_o both_o part_n if_o on_o receive_v good_a and_o the_o other_o do_v not_o labour_v to_o communicate_v it_o be_v not_o communion_n now_o there_o be_v a_o glorious_a communication_n on_o god_n part_n first_o immediate_a second_o full_a three_o free_a four_o everlasting_a first_o immediate_a whereas_o here_o god_n communicate_v himself_o through_o creature_n or_o
