star_n situate_v in_o heaven_n as_o well_o as_o the_o other_o star_n that_o this_o at_o the_o first_o sight_n will_v amuse_v the_o reader_n but_o they_o shall_v be_v please_v to_o yield_v that_o the_o yolk_n of_o a_o egg_n be_v in_o its_o shell_n neither_o can_v they_o deny_v that_o the_o earth_n be_v in_o heaven_n which_o wrap_v and_o compass_n it_o on_o every_o side_n as_o a_o eggshell_n and_o that_o the_o infinite_a space_n of_o the_o air_n which_o be_v the_o heaven_n do_v not_o contain_v divers_a body_n far_o distant_a one_o from_o the_o other_o and_o so_o consequent_o the_o earth_n seem_v from_o on_o high_a little_a and_o lightsome_a may_v be_v a_o star_n inhabit_v but_o if_o the_o earth_n be_v a_o star_n inhabit_v the_o other_o may_v be_v earth_n inhabit_v be_v they_o as_o well_o as_o the_o earth_n seem_v and_o appear_v to_o be_v great_a and_o lightsome_a body_n to_o those_o who_o be_v far_o remote_a from_o they_o and_o that_o no_o man_n may_v object_v that_o the_o heaven_n be_v a_o place_n colour_v solid_a and_o separate_v from_o their_o air_n i_o beseech_v he_o to_o consider_v that_o thing_n far_o remote_a from_o we_o appear_v as_o the_o sky_n even_o the_o mountain_n and_o sea_n see_v from_o far_o seem_v bluish_a so_o that_o this_o sky-coloured_a heaven_n that_o we_o see_v be_v not_o a_o solid_a and_o real_a thing_n but_o the_o limit_n of_o our_o sight_n in_o a_o certain_a place_n of_o the_o infinite_a space_n of_o the_o air_n which_o be_v the_o common_a place_n wherein_o be_v lodge_v a_o infinite_a number_n of_o great_a globe_n of_o divers_a nature_n or_o inhabit_v by_o several_a live_a creature_n which_o the_o sun_n be_v in_o the_o middle_n equal_o inlighten_v as_o a_o great_a torch_n set_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o a_o chamber_n shine_v in_o every_o corner_n of_o it_o with_o the_o brightness_n of_o its_o light_n chap._n vi_o prove_v the_o same_o by_o the_o great_a number_n of_o the_o star_n and_o by_o their_o nobleness_n those_o who_o imagine_v that_o the_o infinite_a number_n of_o the_o heavenly_a body_n be_v create_v for_o the_o globe_n of_o the_o earth_n and_o for_o the_o advantage_n of_o its_o inhabitant_n be_v much_o mistake_v for_o natural_a reason_n do_v sufficient_o dissuade_v we_o to_o believe_v that_o the_o great_a thing_n serve_v the_o lesser_a and_o that_o those_o that_o be_v the_o noble_a serve_v the_o vile_a and_o that_o be_v of_o less_o consequence_n and_o moment_n be_v it_o not_o very_o like_o that_o every_o globe_n make_v a_o world_n or_o a_o particular_a earth_n and_o that_o this_o great_a number_n be_v suspend_v in_o the_o air_n whereof_o the_o vast_a space_n conjoin_v they_o all_o as_o so_o many_o dependence_n from_o the_o everlasting_a and_o divine_a empire_n the_o greatness_n and_o bigness_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n be_v compose_v of_o divers_a creature_n which_o though_o far_o remote_a and_o differ_a one_o from_o the_o other_o as_o well_o by_o their_o nature_n as_o by_o their_o place_n do_v notwithstanding_o so_o well_o agree_v in_o a_o mutual_a love_n that_o they_o compose_v and_o make_v up_o a_o perfect_a harmony_n in_o the_o world_n where_o the_o heaven_n or_o the_o air_n be_v their_o common_a space_n and_o the_o sea_n whereof_o the_o earth_n or_o star_n be_v the_o island_n which_o do_v so_o join_v and_o separate_v they_o and_o therefore_o be_v this_o air_n pure_a near_o the_o perfect_a body_n nevertheless_o this_o spiritual_a body_n of_o the_o air_n equal_o receive_v the_o influence_n and_o operation_n of_o every_o globe_n and_o communicate_v with_o great_a speed_n to_o every_o one_o those_o of_o all_o the_o other_o chap._n vii_o wherein_o the_o same_o be_v prove_v by_o a_o reason_n draw_v from_o the_o bigness_n of_o the_o star_n pythagoras_n do_v often_o call_v the_o earth_n a_o moon_n and_o all_o well_o consider_v what_o hinder_v that_o the_o earth_n be_v not_o as_o well_o reckon_v in_o the_o number_n of_o the_o star_n as_o the_o moon_n see_v that_o as_o we_o have_v say_v the_o body_n of_o both_o of_o they_o be_v of_o a_o thick_a dark_a and_o heavy_a matter_n that_o both_o do_v borrow_v their_o light_n from_o the_o sun_n that_o they_o be_v both_o solid_a and_o reverberate_v the_o beam_n of_o this_o light_n of_o the_o world_n that_o both_o produce_v virtue_n and_o spirit_n of_o themselves_o and_o that_o both_o be_v henge_v and_o suspend_v each_o in_o its_o air_n or_o heaven_n and_o upon_o its_o centre_n and_o have_v all_o these_o thing_n common_a together_o may_v not_o the_o moon_n and_o so_o consequent_o the_o other_o star_n infinite_o big_a than_o itself_o have_v inhabitant_n and_o indeed_o this_o exceed_v all_o belief_n that_o so_o great_a body_n as_o the_o star_n which_o many_o time_n over_o exceed_v the_o earth_n in_o bigness_n shall_v be_v so_o idle_a and_o barren_a that_o no_o creature_n shall_v dwell_v in_o they_o and_o that_o their_o motion_n labour_n and_o action_n shall_v only_o redound_v to_o the_o advantage_n of_o this_o terrestrial_a globe_n alone_o
