dispute_v daily_o whether_o true_a repentance_n take_v her_o beginning_n at_o love_n or_o at_o sear_n this_o question_n can_v be_v decide_v in_o few_o word_n but_o to_o be_v short_a i_o say_v it_o may_v begin_v at_o both_o for_o true_a repentance_n be_v a_o work_n of_o god_n he_o may_v bring_v it_o as_o he_o listen_v but_o when_o it_o come_v from_o love_n it_o be_v not_o ordinary_a or_o common_a but_o marvellous_a look_v upon_o the_o conversion_n of_o saint_n paul_n of_o saint_n matthew_n and_o the_o thief_n but_o ordinary_o god_n begin_v repentance_n in_o we_o by_o fear_n as_o in_o the_o three_o book_n of_o the_o king_n when_o be_v command_v elias_n to_o come_v out_o of_o his_o cave_n to_o remain_v in_o the_o mount_n before_o the_o lord_n and_o a_o mighty_a strong_a wind_n pass_v by_o and_o rend_v the_o high_a hill_n and_o ragged_a rock_n before_o the_o lord_n but_o the_o lord_n be_v not_o in_o the_o wind_n after_o that_o come_v a_o earthquake_n but_o the_o lord_n be_v not_o in_o the_o earthquake_n after_o that_o come_v a_o fire_n but_o the_o lord_n be_v not_o in_o the_o fire_n after_o that_o come_v a_o soft_a wind_n wherein_o the_o lord_n be_v in_o such_o sort_n quicken_a grace_n neverthelese_v these_o be_v forerunner_n to_o prepare_v the_o way_n of_o the_o lord_n for_o when_o the_o perverse_a will_n of_o man_n be_v mortify_v by_o servile_a fear_n and_o lead_v almost_o to_o hell_n after_o come_v the_o sweet_a sound_n of_o god_n grace_n which_o revive_v the_o soul_n say_v lazarus_n come_v forth_o this_o be_v the_o voice_n that_o give_v consolation_n at_o the_o hear_n whereof_o we_o may_v be_v bold_a to_o depart_v in_o peace_n with_o assurance_n of_o remission_n of_o our_o sin_n but_o it_o seem_v that_o repentance_n begin_v first_o in_o the_o knight_n at_o love_n and_o that_o miraculous_o for_o he_o be_v in_o the_o filth_n of_o sin_n sudden_o by_o god_n providence_n confess_v his_o folly_n and_o loathe_v his_o lewd_a life_n he_o require_v help_v and_o succour_v at_o god_n grace_n who_o present_o assist_v he_o and_o bring_v he_o out_o of_o the_o sink_n of_o sin_n but_o this_o manner_n of_o conversion_n be_v not_o ordinary_o use_v there_o be_v indeed_o certain_a forerunner_n to_o the_o justify_n of_o sinner_n which_o prepare_v the_o way_n to_o god_n revive_v or_o quicken_a grace_n and_o offer_v unto_o god_n a_o renew_a spirit_n and_o a_o pure_a and_o upright_a heart_n which_o manner_n of_o conversion_n godly_a people_n only_o do_v use_v and_o hereof_o mean_v the_o knight_n to_o speak_v purpose_v also_o to_o show_v how_o it_o digress_v from_o god_n grace_n when_o repentance_n have_v thus_o apparel_v i_o with_o hair_n and_o sackcloth_n i_o be_v set_v upon_o a_o stool_n and_o then_o god_n grace_n appear_v unto_o i_o with_o two_o woman_n and_o one_o man_n which_o be_v a_o preacher_n now_o one_o of_o the_o woman_n hold_v in_o her_o right_a hand_n a_o sharp_a prick_a iron_n rod_n call_v the_o gnaw_a of_o the_o conscience_n in_o her_o least_a hand_n she_o have_v a_o red_a book_n whereat_o i_o be_v afraid_a for_o as_o she_o behold_v i_o i_o think_v she_o threaten_v i_o the_o other_o woman_n be_v courteous_a and_o mild_a and_o gentle_a hold_v in_o her_o right_a hand_n a_o book_n of_o gold_n cover_v with_o pearl_n and_o she_o be_v call_v remembrance_n god_n grace_n place_v conscience_n on_o my_o left_a hand_n and_o
