the_o king_n to_o obtain_v this_o knighthood_n he_o must_v come_v to_o the_o court_n and_o stoop_v down_o on_o his_o knee_n and_o so_o receive_v that_o honour_n this_o access_n to_o the_o court_n and_o humble_v on_o his_o knee_n be_v not_o a_o matter_n of_o merit_n or_o cause_n but_o only_o of_o order_n and_o condition_n in_o this_o latter_a respect_n we_o deny_v not_o but_o good_a work_n all_o the_o glory_n and_o terror_n of_o his_o justice_n and_o as_o the_o great_a and_o sure_a avenger_n of_o a_o unrighteous_a person_n when_o the_o soul_n be_v in_o this_o kind_n of_o humble_v it_o be_v fill_v with_o exquisite_a sense_n and_o exquisite_a torment_n like_o a_o man_n with_o a_o burn_a arrow_n in_o his_o thigh_n or_o like_o a_o thief_n hear_v the_o sentence_n of_o death_n pronounce_v upon_o he_o by_o the_o judge_n now_o this_o kind_n of_o humble_v though_o sometime_o it_o may_v be_v a_o antecedent_n to_o faith_n in_o christ_n for_o god_n do_v many_o time_n bring_v a_o gracious_o superad_v another_o work_n of_o conversion_n to_o this_o of_o legal_a affliction_n yet_o he_o may_v and_o do_v many_o time_n distribute_v these_o sorrow_n in_o wrath_n and_o they_o be_v but_o the_o testimony_n of_o his_o pure_a and_o displease_a justice_n even_o in_o this_o life_n to_o begin_v a_o hell_n of_o anguish_n in_o the_o conscience_n of_o a_o proud_a and_o dare_a sinner_n the_o issue_n and_o event_n of_o they_o if_o instead_o of_o one_o item_n from_o conscience_n thou_o shall_v now_o hear_v a_o hundred_o and_o instead_o of_o one_o lash_n from_o conscience_n thou_o shall_v now_o feel_v a_o thousand_o though_o thy_o heart_n be_v break_v into_o as_o many_o piece_n as_o the_o glass_n which_o be_v dash_v against_o the_o wall_n though_o thy_o spirit_n do_v even_o fry_v within_o thou_o for_o the_o heat_n of_o horror_n and_o that_o thou_o do_v roar_v day_n and_o night_n for_o the_o disquietment_n of_o thy_o guilty_a conscience_n yet_o can_v thou_o not_o subdue_a of_o it_o this_o be_v the_o way_n and_o therefore_o strive_v to_o walk_v in_o it_o you_o may_v try_v other_o water_n but_o they_o shall_v not_o help_v you_o and_o perplex_v your_o own_o their_o service_n but_o what_o of_o this_o to_o thou_o he_o be_v a_o god_n hear_v prayer_n yea_o but_o he_o will_v not_o regard_v the_o cry_n nor_o tear_n of_o some_o but_o their_o sacrifice_n be_v
