exhalation_n this_o rarefaction_n say_v he_o must_v be_v make_v by_o some_o heat_n and_o no_o other_o be_v prove_v to_o we_o yet_o by_o this_o author_n than_o the_o heat_n of_o the_o sun_n why_o vulcano_n and_o fiery_a mountain_n and_o why_o may_v not_o this_o fire_n be_v the_o cause_n of_o the_o rarefaction_n this_o appear_v to_o be_v more_o probable_a because_o earthquake_n be_v most_o common_a in_o those_o place_n where_o these_o vulcanos_fw-la be_v as_o in_o the_o kingdom_n of_o naples_n and_o sicily_n but_o suppose_v there_o be_v no_o actual_a fire_n under_o ground_n yet_o i_o be_o of_o the_o opinion_n that_o heat_n may_v arise_v from_o other_o cause_n than_o that_o of_o the_o sun_n it_o be_v observe_v that_o from_o a_o due_a mixture_n of_o some_o particle_n of_o matter_n with_o those_o of_o another_o sort_n there_o will_v arise_v a_o very_a considerable_a heat_n some_o place_n underground_o be_v observe_v to_o be_v exceed_o hot_a as_o some_o mine_n where_o there_o be_v a_o mixture_n of_o sulphureous_a nitrous_a and_o mineral_n principle_n the_o heat_n be_v so_o considerable_a that_o a_o man_n can_v easy_o endure_v it_o even_o in_o the_o extremity_n of_o winter_n there_o be_v other_o place_n so_o warm_a that_o the_o water_n that_o run_v through_o they_o will_v scald_v a_o man_n hand_n and_o may_v we_o not_o suppose_v that_o there_o be_v some_o cavity_n deep_a underground_n where_o the_o earth_n be_v of_o the_o same_o frame_n and_o texture_n of_o part_n now_o if_o some_o sulphureous_a and_o nitrous_a exhalation_n shall_v be_v gather_v together_o within_o any_o of_o these_o cavity_n and_o by_o motion_n or_o any_o other_o accident_n they_o shall_v happen_v to_o be_v kindle_v it_o be_v plain_a they_o will_v expand_v themselves_o rarify_v the_o air_n and_o make_v that_o concussion_n of_o the_o ground_n we_o usual_o observe_v in_o earthquake_n now_o it_o be_v plain_a that_o these_o exhalation_n may_v be_v kindle_v without_o
