it_o to_o run_v off_o again_o as_o useless_a water_n they_o do_v not_o drink_v it_o in_o as_o the_o earth_n drink_v in_o the_o rain_n o_o that_o some_o of_o you_o here_o present_a will_v drink_v in_o this_o sermon_n take_v my_o word_n for_o it_o if_o you_o will_v drink_v it_o in_o it_o will_v abide_v long_o with_o you_o and_o do_v you_o more_o good_a than_o that_o drink_n which_o perish_v in_o the_o draught_n or_o that_o strong_a drink_n which_o if_o immoderate_o take_v in_o shall_v be_v bitter_a to_o they_o that_o drink_v it_o not_o so_o much_o as_o to_o those_o qualm_n of_o conscience_n or_o headache_n which_o do_v quick_o ensue_v thereupon_o but_o the_o worst_a bitterness_n will_v be_v in_o the_o end_n when_o they_o must_v taste_v the_o bitterness_n of_o death_n and_o thence_o be_v call_v to_o judgement_n to_o receive_v a_o due_a reward_n for_o the_o sin_n and_o evil_n of_o their_o drunkenness_n in_o the_o day_n of_o their_o flesh_n i_o will_v have_v you_o drink_v that_o in_o not_o one_o drop_n further_o then_o bare_o for_o thirst_n and_o necessary_a refreshment_n but_o if_o you_o will_v taste_v and_o drink_v in_o some_o of_o those_o word_n as_o be_v write_v by_o god_n blessing_n and_o improvement_n thereon_o it_o may_v become_v in_o you_o a_o well_o of_o water_n spring_v up_o unto_o eternal_a life_n john_n 4._o 14._o in_o a_o dry_a summer_n that_o be_v good_a and_o convenient_a ground_n which_o lie_v next_o to_o a_o river_n or_o brook_n or_o fountain_n which_o be_v perpetual_o run_v and_o spring_v and_o when_o there_o be_v apt_a floodgate_n and_o instrument_n to_o let_v the_o water_n over_o the_o ground_n and_o drain_v it_o again_o this_o supply_n and_o make_v up_o from_o beneath_o for_o the_o dew_n and_o rain_n which_o come_v from_o above_o and_o so_o it_o be_v convenient_a in_o dwell_v house_n to_o keep_v water_n always_o by_o one_o even_o so_o we_o shall_v be_v always_o furnish_v unto_o which_o the_o word_n preach_v do_v help_v we_o with_o the_o like_a spiritual_a water_n as_o it_o descend_v from_o above_o in_o the_o dew_n and_o rain_n of_o the_o ordinance_n and_o when_o we_o have_v drink_v it_o in_o we_o shall_v not_o let_v it_o run_v through_o but_o stop_n and_o keep_v it_o there_o that_o it_o may_v be_v turn_v and_o convert_v into_o our_o own_o moisture_n for_o the_o word_n be_v nigh_o thou_o even_o in_o thy_o heart_n see_v to_o it_o well_o that_o by_o ponder_v and_o remembrance_n of_o what_o thou_o hear_v or_o read_v these_o word_n that_o i_o command_v thou_o thou_o shall_v lay_v up_o in_o thy_o heart_n that_o it_o may_v become_v as_o it_o be_v a_o repository_n of_o gracious_a word_n and_o divine_a truth_n which_o like_o pool_n or_o river_n of_o water_n will_v refresh_v and_o supply_v thy_o need_n at_o any_o time_n for_o they_o drink_v of_o that_o spiritual_a rock_n that_o follow_v they_o in_o the_o margin_n there_o it_o be_v go_v with_o they_o and_o that_o rock_n be_v christ_n 1_o cor._n 10._o 4._o so_o that_o it_o be_v to_o have_v christ_n who_o be_v the_o word_n form_v within_o they_o that_o he_o may_v follow_v and_o go_v with_o they_o whithersoever_o they_o go_v or_o wheresoever_o they_o be_v this_o will_v be_v yet_o a_o more_o last_a and_o abide_v thing_n then_o the_o early_a dew_n or_o the_o descend_a rain_n for_o that_o be_v not_o always_o but_o to_o have_v the_o spiritual_a rock_n follow_v we_o or_o go_v with_o we_o this_o be_v at_o midday_n and_o afternoon_n and_o at_o those_o time_n when_o there_o will_v be_v no_o rain_n the_o word_n be_v not_o nor_o can_v be_v well_o preach_v always_o but_o this_o supply_n and_o help_v for_o that_o in_o the_o interval_n and_o space_n of_o time_n between_o it_o even_o to_o have_v a_o spiritual_a drink_n always_o within_o we_o and_o to_o have_v a_o spiritual_a rock_n follow_v and_o go_v with_o we_o which_o rock_n be_v christ_n out_o of_o which_o we_o may_v draw_v and_o drink_v at_o any_o time_n whensoever_o w●_n will_n as_o one_o of_o the_o ancient_n say_v nothing_o be_v so_o worthy_a of_o god_n as_o the_o salvation_n of_o mankind_n so_o it_o be_v a_o most_o wonderful_a thing_n to_o consider_v how_o he_o have_v consult_v contrive_v and_o provide_v all_o thing_n for_o it_o in_o his_o word_n especial_o and_o also_o in_o his_o other_o do_n and_o dispensation_n towards_o the_o child_n of_o men._n happy_a thrice_o happy_a and_o only_o happy_a be_v those_o his_o servant_n and_o creature_n who_o know_v that_o be_v not_o all_o but_o also_o comply_v therewith_o that_o as_o deep_o call_v unto_o deep_a at_o the_o noise_n of_o thy_o water_n spout_n psal_n 42._o 7._o so_o one_o ordinance_n do_v follow_v another_o and_o one_o thing_n be_v appendant_a connect_v and_o succeed_v another_o and_o all_o to_o that_o great_a end_n to_o bring_v about_o the_o common_a salvation_n of_o mankind_n as_o if_o god_n will_v never_o let_v we_o alone_o until_o he_o have_v bring_v we_o unto_o heaven_n
