sanctify_v jeremiah_n in_o the_o womb_n &_o he_o can_v give_v john_n the_o baptist_n the_o gift_n of_o the_o holy_a ghost_n from_o the_o womb_n and_o why_o not_o our_o infant_n aswell_o as_o they_o christ_n be_v conceive_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n in_o the_o womb_n that_o he_o may_v sanctify_v his_o elect_a in_o every_o age_n aswell_o at_o the_o first_o hour_n of_o their_o life_n as_o at_o the_o last_o if_o he_o please_v so_o then_o elect_v child_n shall_v be_v make_v holy_a and_o regenerate_v before_o they_o depart_v this_o life_n and_o although_o the_o word_n preach_v be_v the_o immortal_a seed_n to_o regenerate_a man_n of_o year_n it_o be_v not_o so_o to_o infant_n neither_o have_v the_o lord_n so_o tie_v himself_o only_o to_o that_o mean_n but_o he_o may_v use_v some_o other_o in_o case_n that_o can_v be_v have_v as_o among_o turk_n and_o pagan_n nor_o receive_v by_o infant_n yet_o we_o must_v not_o limit_v the_o holy_a one_o of_o israel_n nor_o tie_v he_o to_o ordinary_a mean_n in_o extraordinary_a case_n 12._o but_o they_o object_v that_o baptism_n be_v a_o sacrament_n of_o repentance_n and_o of_o faith_n which_o can_v be_v in_o infant_n and_o we_o ought_v to_o beware_v lest_o they_o be_v admit_v to_o the_o communion_n of_o baptism_n the_o signification_n of_o it_o be_v make_v void_a i_o answer_v it_o be_v evident_a by_o scripture_n that_o circumcision_n be_v a_o sign_n of_o repentance_n yet_o paul_n call_v it_o the_o seal_n of_o the_o righteousness_n of_o faith_n rom._n 4.11_o so_o than_o if_o infant_n among_o the_o jew_n have_v faith_n to_o seal_v why_o may_v not_o infant_n of_o christian_n have_v the_o like_a i_o mean_v the_o seed_n of_o faith_n therefore_o baptism_n be_v not_o void_a and_o of_o no_o effect_n to_o they_o again_o if_o circumcision_n be_v command_v baptism_n be_v employ_v that_o be_v come_v in_o the_o place_n thereof_o and_o signify_v the_o same_o thing_n and_o institute_v by_o the_o same_o authority_n then_o let_v they_o take_v heed_n how_o they_o rage_n against_o the_o ordinance_n of_o god_n and_o although_o infant_n that_o be_v circumcise_v have_v no_o actual_a repentance_n yet_o they_o be_v true_o circumcise_a into_o the_o mortification_n of_o their_o corrup_n and_o defile_a nature_n in_o which_o mortification_n they_o shall_v afterward_o exercise_v themselves_o when_o they_o be_v grow_v to_o ripe_a age_n and_o say_v john_n i_o baptize_v you_o with_o water_n unto_o repentance_n mat._n 3.11_o and_o other_o that_o be_v baptize_v have_v not_o receive_v the_o holy_a ghost_n for_o as_o yet_o he_o be_v fall_v upon_o none_o of_o they_o only_o they_o
