signify_v this_o definition_n will_v agree_v to_o many_o thing_n which_o neither_o papist_n nor_o protestant_n will_v acknowledge_v to_o be_v sacrament_n if_o they_o be_v express_v under_o the_o name_n of_o seal_v ordinance_n as_o some_o do_v i_o can_v never_o see_v neither_o by_o reason_n nor_o scripture_n how_o this_o title_n can_v be_v appropriate_a to_o they_o more_o than_o to_o any_o be_v always_o first_o number_v which_o be_v the_o subject_a of_o the_o present_a proposition_n in_o who_o explanation_n i_o shall_v first_o demonstrate_v and_o prove_v our_o judgement_n and_o then_o answer_v the_o objection_n and_o refute_v the_o sentiment_n of_o our_o opposer_n part_v i_o as_o to_o the_o first_o part_n these_o thing_n follow_v which_o be_v brief_o comprehend_v in_o the_o proposition_n come_v to_o be_v propose_v and_o prove_v prop._n i_o §_o iii_o first_o that_o there_o be_v but_o one_o baptism_n as_o well_o as_o but_o one_o lord_n one_o faith_n etc._n etc._n second_o that_o this_o one_o baptism_n which_o be_v the_o baptism_n of_o christ_n be_v not_o a_o wash_n with_o or_o dip_v in_o water_n but_o a_o be_v baptize_v by_o the_o spirit_n three_o that_o the_o other_o be_v cease_v prop._n i_o as_o for_o the_o first_o viz._n that_o there_o be_v but_o one_o baptism_n there_o need_v no_o other_o proof_n than_o the_o word_n of_o the_o text_n eph._n 4._o 5._o one_o lord_n one_o faith_n one_o baptism_n where_o prove_v the_o apostle_n positive_o and_o plain_o affirm_v that_o as_o there_o be_v but_o one_o body_n one_o spirit_n one_o faith_n one_o god_n etc._n etc._n so_o there_o be_v but_o one_o baptism_n obj._n 1_o as_o to_o what_o be_v common_o allege_v by_o way_n of_o explanation_n upon_o the_o text_n that_o the_o baptism_n of_o water_n and_o of_o the_o spirit_n make_v up_o this_o one_o baptism_n by_o virtue_n of_o this_o sacramental_a union_n answ._n i_o answer_v this_o exposition_n have_v take_v place_n not_o because_o ground_v upon_o the_o evident_o in_o that_o they_o account_v those_o true_o baptise_a with_o the_o one_o baptism_n of_o christ_n who_o be_v not_o baptize_v with_o the_o spirit_n which_o in_o scripture_n be_v particular_o call_v the_o baptism_n of_o christ_n if_o they_o be_v only_o baptize_v with_o water_n which_o themselves_o yet_o confess_v to_o be_v but_o the_o shadow_n or_o figure_n and_o moreover_o in_o that_o so_o second_o he_o tell_v we_o affirmative_o what_o it_o be_v viz._n the_o answer_n of_o a_o good_a conscience_n towards_o god_n by_o the_o resurrection_n of_o jesus_n christ_n where_o he_o affirmative_o define_v it_o to_o be_v the_o answer_n or_o confession_n as_o the_o syriack_n version_n have_v it_o of_o a_o good_a conscience_n now_o this_o answer_n can_v be_v but_o where_o the_o
