appoint_v by_o the_o say_a ordinance_n of_o parliament_n of_o the_o 29_o of_o march_n last_o past_a who_o or_o any_o five_o of_o they_o one_o thereof_o be_v a_o peer_n upon_o consideration_n of_o every_o such_o assessment_n be_v hereby_o authorise_v to_o approve_v increase_n or_o moderate_v every_o such_o assessment_n and_o thereupon_o to_o make_v and_o give_v warrant_n to_o such_o person_n as_o shall_v be_v by_o the_o committee_n now_o appoint_v nominate_v for_o that_o purpose_n compel_v to_o pay_v the_o same_o by_o distress_n of_o the_o good_n and_o chattel_n of_o such_o person_n or_o person_n so_o refuse_v or_o neglect_v to_o pay_v the_o same_o which_o good_n so_o distreyn_v shall_v be_v sell_v by_o such_o person_n as_o the_o say_a committee_n shall_v appoint_v for_o employ_v in_o the_o execution_n of_o this_o ordinance_n not_o exceed_v three_o penny_n in_o the_o pound_n and_o for_o the_o better_a encouragement_n and_o secure_v of_o such_o person_n as_o shall_v advance_v the_o say_a sum_n or_o any_o part_n thereof_o the_o lord_n and_o commons_o do_v hereby_o ordain_v that_o such_o person_n or_o person_n as_o shall_v pay_v or_o lend_v any_o money_n upon_o or_o by_o virtue_n of_o this_o ordinance_n and_o pay_v the_o same_o to_o the_o treasurer_n at_o war_n aforesaid_a shall_v be_v repay_v the_o several_a sum_n which_o shall_v be_v by_o they_o advance_v out_o of_o the_o receipt_n of_o the_o excise_n and_o new_a impost_n with_o interest_n after_o the_o rate_n of_o eight_o pound_n per_fw-la centum_fw-la per_fw-la annum_fw-la for_o so_o long_a time_n as_o they_o shall_v forbear_v the_o same_o and_o the_o commissioner_n of_o excize_n and_o new_a impost_n for_o the_o time_n be_v be_v hereby_o authorize_v and_o require_v to_o pay_v unto_o the_o several_a lender_n their_o executor_n and_o assign_n at_o the_o end_n of_o six_o month_n the_o interest_n for_o so_o much_o money_n as_o shall_v be_v advance_v by_o virtue_n hereof_o and_o the_o principal_a and_o remainder_n of_o the_o interest_n thereof_o after_o the_o rate_n aforesaid_a in_o due_a course_n order_n and_o rank_n as_o the_o same_o stand_v charge_v upon_o the_o say_a excise_n and_o impost_n unto_o the_o person_n that_o do_v advance_v the_o same_o and_o the_o rcceipt_n of_o the_o say_a treasurer_n at_o war_n or_o any_o two_o of_o they_o one_o be_v a_o alderman_n the_o other_o a_o commoner_n shall_v interest_n and_o entitle_v every_o person_n or_o person_n to_o who_o it_o shall_v be_v give_v his_o or_o their_o executor_n administrator_n or_o assign_n into_o the_o security_n and_o benefit_n of_o this_o present_a ordinance_n with_o interest_n aforesaid_a and_o it_o be_v further_a ordain_v that_o no_o ordinance_n nor_o assignment_n not_o past_a in_o the_o say_a receipt_n of_o the_o excise_n before_o a_o ordinance_n of_o the_o second_o of_o september_n last_o for_o the_o payment_n of_o fifty_o thousand_o pound_n in_o course_n for_o the_o service_n of_o the_o army_n under_o the_o command_n of_o sir_n thomas_n fairfax_n shall_v precede_v this_o ordinance_n but_o that_o it_o shall_v be_v pay_v in_o its_o course_n from_o that_o time_n according_o and_o the_o aforementioned_a receipt_n of_o the_o treasurer_n at_o war_n together_o with_o the_o acquittance_n of_o the_o person_n advance_v the_o same_o shall_v be_v a_o sufficient_a warrant_n and_o discharge_v to_o the_o commissioner_n of_o excise_n and_o every_o of_o they_o for_o payment_n of_o the_o say_a sum_n to_o the_o several_a person_n as_o aforesaid_a and_o it_o be_v further_a ordain_v that_o all_o major_n sheriff_n constable_n and_o headborough_n and_o all_o officer_n of_o the_o train_a band_n and_o auxiliary_n within_o the_o say_a limit_n shall_v be_v aid_v to_o the_o say_a respective_a committee_n and_o such_o as_o they_o shall_v employ_v in_o the_o execution_n of_o this_o present_a ordinance_n and_o the_o say_a respective_a committee_n shall_v have_v power_n to_o impose_v upon_o such_o officer_n or_o person_n so_o neglect_v their_o duty_n therein_o such_o fine_a or_o fine_n as_o to_o they_o shall_v seem_v meet_a not_o exceed_v forty_o shilling_n for_o any_o one_o offence_n and_o to_o cause_v the_o same_o to_o be_v levy_v by_o distress_n and_o sale_n of_o the_o good_n as_o aforesaid_a and_o it_o be_v further_a ordain_v that_o all_o person_n act_v in_o pursuance_n of_o this_o ordinance_n shall_v be_v save_v harmless_a by_o authority_n of_o parliament_n and_o that_o no_o privilege_a place_n shall_v be_v exempt_v from_o the_o say_a assessment_n provide_v that_o such_o person_n as_o shall_v make_v it_o appear_v to_o the_o say_a committee_n of_o arrear_n by_o their_o protestation_n or_o oath_n that_o he_o or_o they_o be_v not_o worth_a one_o thousand_o pound_n
