testimony_n and_o exhortation_n they_o receive_v and_o obey_v they_o not_o neither_o do_v they_o grow_v and_o increase_v in_o their_o inward_a man_n from_o one_o degree_n of_o grace_n knowledge_n and_o virtue_n unto_o another_o this_o spirit_n of_o dead_a formality_n have_v also_o assume_v the_o form_n of_o sound_a word_n and_o plainness_n of_o apparel_n etc._n etc._n and_o under_o this_o it_o manifest_a within_o even_o under_o this_o form_n than_o all_o open_a opposition_n and_o persecution_n can_v ever_o effect_v this_o be_v now_o and_o have_v be_v in_o former_a age_n the_o way_n and_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o deceit_n when_o he_o can_v prevail_v by_o direct_a opposition_n and_o perfecttion_n then_o will_v he_o get_v the_o word_n and_o profession_n of_o truth_n and_o appear_v and_o work_v under_o the_o form_n thereof_o and_o by_o the_o evil_a fruit_n he_o bring_v forth_o under_o this_o disguise_n he_o occasion_n many_o who_o be_v wait_v for_o the_o consolation_n of_o israel_n and_o strict_o observe_v the_o conversation_n of_o the_o child_n thereof_o to_o lose_v their_o expectation_n and_o to_o sit_v down_o and_o conclude_v these_o people_n be_v but_o as_o other_o and_o their_o way_n be_v but_o as_o other_o way_n and_o they_o fail_v in_o their_o profession_n of_o holiness_n etc._n etc._n as_o other_o do_v we_o see_v evil_a among_o they_o as_o among_o other_o even_o under_o their_o very_a form_n etc._n etc._n this_o have_v occasion_v many_o to_o take_v up_o their_o rest_n in_o a_o latitudinarian_a spirit_n or_o to_o be_v ready_a to_o say_v all_o man_n be_v liar_n and_o religion_n a_o cheat_n and_o some_o to_o run_v into_o atheism_n itself_o but_o double_a woe_n and_o misery_n will_v be_v the_o portion_n of_o those_o person_n who_o entertain_v and_o join_v with_o this_o spirit_n of_o deceit_n and_o hypocrisy_n and_o thereby_o occasion_n many_o to_o stumble_v go_v backward_o and_o fall_v and_o speak_v evil_a of_o the_o way_n of_o truth_n which_o be_v peaceable_a peasant_n and_o pure_a not_o only_o in_o itself_o but_o also_o to_o all_o those_o that_o love_v it_o and_o obey_v it_o and_o become_v child_n of_o it_o but_o as_o for_o those_o that_o once_o know_v the_o way_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o afterward_o give_v way_n to_o the_o spirit_n of_o evil_a deceit_n hypocrisy_n and_o formality_n or_o that_o take_v up_o the_o form_n of_o godliness_n to_o deceive_v as_o in_o former_a age_n so_o now_o such_o be_v more_o abominable_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o more_o to_o be_v testify_v against_o then_o the_o very_a heathen_a or_o profane_a unbeliever_n false_a brethren_n be_v most_o perilous_a and_o hypocrite_n most_o odious_a in_o the_o sight_n of_o god_n and_o all_o good_a man_n and_o the_o gild_n of_o soul_n lie_v at_o their_o door_n because_o of_o their_o ungodly_a practice_n and_o evil_a do_n under_o the_o form_n show_v and_o profession_n of_o godliness_n such_o like_o unsavoury_a salt_n be_v good_a for_o nothing_o but_o to_o be_v tread_v under_o foot_n of_o man_n judge_v and_o condemn_v by_o god_n witness_n within_o themselves_o and_o without_o by_o other_o and_o the_o gnaw_v worm_n take_v hold_v of_o they_o and_o the_o unquenchable_a fire_n be_v kindle_v in_o their_o bowel_n and_o a_o earnest_a of_o eternal_a vengeance_n they_o receive_v as_o a_o just_a recompense_n of_o reward_n and_o
