with_o temporal_a judgement_n but_o also_o with_o eternal_a perdition_n and_o destruction_n yet_o they_o be_v scarce_o once_o move_v they_o fear_v not_o they_o do_v not_o quake_v and_o tremble_v but_o soothe_v up_o themselves_o in_o the_o wickedness_n of_o their_o heart_n and_o bless_v themselves_o in_o their_o sinful_a and_o ungodlie_a way_n think_v that_o all_o be_v well_o and_o dream_v of_o nothing_o but_o of_o peace_n and_o safety_n when_o their_o confusion_n be_v near_a and_o sudden_a destruction_n and_o desolation_n ready_a present_o to_o seize_v upon_o they_o o_o let_v it_o be_v otherwise_o with_o i_o &_o with_o all_o they_o that_o fear_v thy_o name_n o_o lord_n let_v i_o be_v touch_v &_o right_o affect_v with_o the_o consideration_n of_o thy_o great_a and_o glorious_a instruct_v of_o his_o family_n yea_o although_o in_o rearguard_n of_o zeal_n he_o be_v of_o a_o cold_a temper_n than_o the_o lukewarm_a laodicean_n ever_o be_v even_o almost_o ashamed_a of_o that_o forwardness_n and_o fervency_n in_o the_o discharge_n of_o those_o duty_n which_o the_o word_n of_o god_n do_v prescribe_v unto_o he_o and_o of_o that_o strictness_n and_o preciseness_n which_o the_o scripture_n exact_v of_o he_o this_o be_v the_o estate_n of_o our_o time_n thus_o have_v most_o decline_v and_o go_v backward_o in_o this_o last_o and_o worst_a age_n of_o the_o world_n wherein_o we_o see_v that_o verify_v which_o the_o truth_n itself_o long_o ago_o foretell_v and_o which_o now_o be_v most_o apparent_a to_o all_o that_o have_v any_o discern_a viz._n that_o the_o love_n &_o zeal_n of_o many_o be_v grow_v cold_a man_n general_o be_v less_o fervent_a and_o more_o defective_a in_o the_o duty_n of_o piety_n and_o godliness_n than_o they_o have_v be_v heretofore_o although_o the_o mean_n be_v never_o more_o plentiful_o afford_v unto_o any_o than_o they_o be_v now_o and_o through_o the_o grace_n and_o mercy_n of_o god_n have_v be_v a_o long_a time_n it_o be_v woeful_a to_o see_v and_o consider_v the_o great_a change_n and_o alteration_n which_o now_o if_o we_o have_v eye_n we_o can_v but_o see_v almost_o in_o every_o place_n among_o all_o sort_n and_o degree_n of_o man_n what_o a_o general_a defection_n as_o it_o be_v be_v there_o from_o the_o piety_n devotion_n innocence_n simplicity_n and_o godly_a pureness_n the_o holy_a conversation_n and_o religious_a practice_n the_o zeal_n integrity_n sincerity_n unfeigned_a love_n and_o charity_n and_o all_o those_o excellent_a virtue_n and_o grace_n of_o the_o holy_a man_n of_o god_n that_o have_v be_v before_o we_o o_o bless_a lord_n as_o thou_o have_v set_v the_o life_n of_o many_o of_o thy_o saint_n and_o servant_n as_o a_o ensample_n before_o my_o eye_n that_o i_o shall_v be_v a_o follower_n of_o they_o and_o walk_v as_o they_o have_v walk_v according_a to_o the_o rule_n of_o thy_o word_n so_o grant_v i_o beseech_v thou_o that_o i_o may_v be_v excite_v and_o provoke_v while_o i_o look_v on_o they_o to_o imitate_v they_o in_o their_o virtue_n and_o to_o labour_v to_o frame_v my_o life_n according_a to_o that_o pattern_n which_o thou_o in_o they_o have_v prescribe_v unto_o i_o and_o careful_o to_o endeavour_n proceed_v by_o one_o and_o the_o same_o rule_n according_a unto_o which_o they_o have_v walk_v to_o attain_v unto_o that_o perfection_n of_o divine_a and_o spiritual_a grace_n which_o it_o please_v thou_o to_o vouchsafe_v unto_o they_o even_o because_o they_o choose_v the_o way_n of_o wisdom_n and_o delit_v in_o the_o way_n of_o thy_o commandment_n let_v the_o example_n of_o their_o zeal_n for_o thy_o glory_n make_v i_o more_o zealous_a and_o earnest_n in_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v good_a and_o whereby_o thou_o may_v be_v glorify_v let_v the_o example_n of_o their_o true_a and_o godly_a devotion_n make_v i_o more_o devout_a and_o religious_a their_o uprightness_n sincerity_n and_o godly_a simplicity_n let_v they_o stir_v i_o up_o unto_o the_o same_o virtue_n their_o diligence_n cheerfulness_n and_o alacrity_n in_o the_o work_n of_o thy_o worship_n and_o service_n let_v they_o draw_v i_o unto_o the_o same_o duty_n the_o example_n of_o their_o patience_n in_o so_o many_o and_o so_o great_a affliction_n and_o trial_n let_v it_o be_v a_o especial_a motive_n and_o inducement_n to_o make_v i_o the_o more_o patient_a the_o example_n of_o their_o meekness_n to_o make_v i_o the_o more_o meek_a of_o their_o humility_n to_o make_v i_o the_o more_o humble_a of_o their_o kindness_n long_a sufferance_n and_o brotherly_a love_n and_o affection_n to_o make_v i_o the_o more_o tender_a heart_a love_a and_o charitable_a unto_o all_o man_n of_o their_o contempt_n of_o the_o world_n and_o the_o vanity_n thereof_o to_o make_v i_o the_o less_o to_o regard_v they_o of_o their_o holy_a and_o heavenly_a conversation_n to_o make_v i_o the_o more_o heavenly_a mind_a the_o more_o heavenly_a affect_v have_v my_o heart_n continual_o lift_v up_o far_o above_o all_o these_o earthly_a and_o transitory_a thing_n to_o the_o serious_a consideration_n and_o meditation_n of_o those_o most_o excellent_a and_o glorious_a thing_n which_o be_v above_o even_o those_o unsearchable_a &_o unspeakable_a riches_n and_o treasure_n of_o that_o glory_n and_o endless_a blessedness_n and_o happiness_n which_o thou_o have_v prepare_v for_o thy_o child_n in_o that_o celestial_a kingdom_n that_o thus_o be_v careful_a to_o follow_v the_o example_n of_o thy_o choose_a servant_n who_o thou_o have_v set_v up_o as_o light_n to_o shine_v unto_o i_o for_o my_o better_a direction_n in_o the_o way_n of_o godliness_n which_o lead_v unto_o life_n and_o salvation_n i_o may_v hereafter_o enter_v into_o that_o joy_n and_o be_v make_v partaker_n of_o the_o same_o glory_n of_o which_o they_o have_v now_o the_o fruition_n in_o that_o heavenly_a mansion_n heavenly_a mindednes_n the_o eye_n of_o a_o christian_a shall_v be_v always_o in_o heaven_n even_o when_o he_o be_v and_o near_a kinsfolk_n die_v and_o depart_v from_o we_o for_o a_o while_n or_o if_o we_o ourselves_o be_v in_o any_o peril_n of_o death_n lo_o than_o we_o be_v very_o sad_a and_o heavy_a we_o be_v exceed_o pensive_a and_o grieve_v out_o of_o measure_n as_o though_o no_o great_a evil_n can_v befall_v us._n but_o if_o we_o be_v clean_o out_o of_o the_o love_n and_o favour_n of_o god_n than_o which_o there_o can_v be_v no_o great_a misery_n if_o we_o be_v not_o regard_v of_o he_o but_o be_v vile_a in_o his_o sight_n such_o as_o by_o reason_n of_o our_o sin_n he_o do_v loath_a and_o abhor_v more_o than_o we_o do_v the_o ugly_a and_o the_o loathsome_a creature_n in_o the_o world_n and_o do_v many_o way_n testify_v the_o sign_n of_o his_o hatred_n and_o the_o deep_a displeasure_n which_o he_o have_v take_v against_o we_o if_o we_o be_v in_o continual_a danger_n to_o hazard_v the_o most_o desirable_a good_n which_o be_v better_a than_o all_o thing_n which_o this_o whole_a world_n can_v afford_v even_o those_o precious_a thing_n of_o god_n wherein_o only_o true_a happiness_n and_o felicity_n consist_v if_o we_o be_v in_o never_o so_o great_a and_o apparent_a danger_n and_o jeopardy_n to_o lose_v the_o unspeakable_a riches_n of_o that_o glorious_a and_o immortal_a inheritance_n reserve_v for_o the_o saint_n in_o that_o heavenly_a kingdom_n that_o celestial_a canaan_n the_o paradise_n of_o god_n where_o there_o be_v such_o joy_n such_o pleasure_n such_o blessedness_n as_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n be_v not_o able_a to_o conceive_v or_o to_o comprehend_v if_o our_o near_a and_o inmost_a friend_n which_o rest_v continual_o in_o our_o bosom_n and_o in_o the_o secret_a lodging_n of_o our_o heart_n unto_o who_o we_o profess_v the_o great_a love_n and_o friendship_n that_o may_v be_v in_o brief_a to_o who_o we_o be_v join_v and_o unite_v with_o so_o near_a and_o strait_a band_n that_o it_o be_v death_n for_o we_o at_o any_o time_n to_o be_v sever_v and_o separate_v for_o the_o least_o while_n for_o one_o moment_n even_o our_o own_o soul_n if_o that_o be_v dead_a in_o we_o while_o it_o seem_v to_o live_v dead_a in_o trespass_n and_o sin_n while_o it_o live_v according_a to_o the_o flesh_n delight_v in_o those_o thing_n which_o be_v unlawful_a dead_a in_o regard_n of_o the_o life_n of_o grace_n while_o it_o live_v the_o life_n of_o nature_n yea_o continual_o in_o extreme_a danger_n to_o die_v eternal_o even_o that_o second_o death_n which_o of_o all_o evil_n be_v the_o most_o fearful_a &_o most_o woeful_a above_o that_o any_o man_n do_v think_v or_o can_v imagine_v though_o he_o have_v present_v unto_o his_o mind_n the_o most_o dreadful_a thing_n and_o full_a of_o horror_n that_o can_v possible_o enter_v into_o the_o heart_n of_o to_o sound_v in_o our_o ear_n by_o the_o ministry_n and_o preach_v of_o his_o word_n in_o the_o mouth_n of_o his_o faithful_a servant_n who_o he_o send_v and_o by_o the_o inward_a and_o secret_a voice_n of_o his_o spirit_n which_o sugge_v these_o thing_n unto_o we_o yet_o our_o heart_n be_v not_o affect_v with_o the_o consideration_n of_o they_o we_o have_v almost_o no_o sense_n or_o feel_v of_o these_o evil_n and_o misery_n we_o make_v no_o account_n of_o they_o we_o be_v little_a seldom_o or_o never_o trouble_v with_o the_o meditation_n and_o remembrance_n of_o they_o the_o fear_n and_o danger_n of_o they_o do_v not_o strike_v our_o soul_n with_o grief_n and_o sorrow_n nor_o make_v we_o so_o pensive_a and_o heavy_a as_o the_o fear_n and_o dread_n of_o far_o lesser_a evil_n do_v we_o grieve_v more_o at_o the_o loss_n of_o the_o favour_n and_o countenance_n of_o man_n yea_o of_o carnal_a and_o worldly_a man_n then_o of_o that_o glorious_a and_o immortal_a god_n who_o love_a expectation_n whereof_o there_o be_v joy_n and_o comfort_v unspeakable_a and_o glorious_a even_o while_o they_o be_v not_o see_v but_o believe_v and_o in_o the_o full_a fruition_n and_o possession_n whereof_o there_o be_v entire_a and_o absolute_a felicity_n and_o blessedness_n we_o be_v grieve_v more_o at_o the_o death_n and_o departure_n of_o our_o friend_n then_o at_o the_o death_n and_o of_o true_a glory_n unto_o which_o that_o be_v no_o way_n comparable_a and_o deprive_v he_o of_o divine_a and_o heavenly_a grace_n the_o most_o precious_a jewel_n in_o this_o world_n and_o most_o to_o be_v desire_v and_o seek_v for_o far_o above_o all_o fade_a and_o earthly_a vanity_n for_o while_o that_o any_o seek_v to_o please_v himself_o overmuch_o in_o receive_v honour_n of_o man_n he_o can_v but_o displease_v god_n very_o high_o and_o want_v that_o honour_n which_o be_v from_o above_o while_o he_o covet_v and_o hunt_v after_o the_o praise_n and_o applause_n of_o this_o world_n and_o thing_n or_o to_o be_v once_o worthy_a to_o be_v account_v among_o the_o mean_a of_o thy_o servant_n for_o behold_v i_o be_o but_o a_o frail_a and_o a_o sinful_a man_n full_a of_o wretchedness_n and_o of_o their_o salvation_n they_o know_v themselves_o to_o be_v elect_v &_o redeem_v by_o christ_n their_o saviour_n and_o that_o none_o can_v take_v they_o out_o of_o his_o hand_n who_o be_v so_o mighty_a and_o powerful_a in_o himself_o and_o so_o gracious_a and_o love_a unto_o they_o yea_o by_o faith_n and_o hope_v they_o be_v ascend_v into_o heaven_n and_o in_o spirit_n behold_v that_o earnest_n affect_v of_o that_o glory_n which_o he_o apprehend_v &_o conceit_v in_o his_o mind_n may_v teach_v even_o we_o that_o be_v christian_n to_o blush_v in_o ourselves_o when_o we_o find_v our_o heart_n so_o dull_a and_o senseless_a that_o the_o remembrance_n of_o that_o promise_a glory_n and_o happine_n swill_v no_o more_o affect_v we_o then_o ordinary_o it_o do_v the_o most_o oh_o it_o shall_v whole_o possess_v our_o soul_n and_o ravish_v our_o mind_n and_o cause_v we_o to_o labour_v by_o all_o mean_n to_o get_v assurance_n upon_o good_a evidence_n that_o we_o shall_v at_o length_n have_v our_o part_n and_o portion_n in_o it_o be_v gather_v togeher_n with_o all_o the_o saint_n into_o that_o glorious_a kingdom_n those_o heavenly_a mansion_n o_o merciful_a god_n how_o great_a be_v thy_o goodness_n how_o unsearchable_a be_v the_o riches_n of_o thy_o grace_n and_o favour_n towards_o thy_o saint_n and_o choose_a one_o those_o who_o in_o christ_n jesus_n thou_o imbrace_v before_o all_o world_n oh_o how_o bless_a and_o glorious_a be_v that_o estate_n which_o thou_o reserve_v for_o they_o in_o the_o heaven_n and_o which_o thou_o will_v give_v they_o possession_n of_o as_o soon_o as_o these_o frail_a and_o sinful_a day_n of_o they_o be_v end_v thou_o will_v cause_v they_o to_o shine_v as_o the_o star_n yea_o as_o the_o sun_n itself_o when_o it_o be_v in_o the_o great_a brightness_n all_o kind_n of_o impurity_n and_o uncleanness_n be_v do_v away_o thou_o will_v clothe_v they_o with_o the_o glorious_a robe_n of_o innocence_n righteousness_n and_o holiness_n thou_o will_v adorn_v they_o with_o those_o precious_a jewel_n of_o all_o divine_a and_o heavenly_a grace_n and_o cause_v thy_o name_n to_o be_v write_v in_o their_o forehead_n yea_o thou_o will_v set_v they_o upon_o throne_n with_o thy_o christ_n with_o sceptre_n in_o their_o hand_n and_o crown_n on_o their_o head_n and_o give_v unto_o they_o for_o a_o everlasting_a inheritance_n that_o celestial_a kingdom_n of_o endless_a bliss_n &_o happiness_n thou_o will_v every_o way_n
