pleasure_n be_v enjoy_v within_o the_o limit_n of_o virtue_n which_o ought_v to_o be_v the_o rule_n and_o guide_v thereof_o be_v good_a and_o laudable_a and_o so_o we_o may_v and_o shall_v free_o and_o cheerful_o enjoy_v even_o a_o paradise_n of_o delight_n and_o felicity_n within_o we_o as_o i_o have_v show_v and_o write_v more_o of_o this_o subject_a in_o a_o former_a book_n entitle_v the_o terrestrial_a paradise_n or_o happiness_n on_o earth_n so_o that_o of_o earth_n felicity_n our_o mind_n within_o we_o may_v a_o sweet_a and_o pleasant_a paradise_n of_o happiness_n enjoy_v the_o x._o division_n that_o by_o virtue_n the_o mind_n become_v apt_a and_o well_o dispose_v to_o know_v attain_v and_o enjoy_v as_o far_o as_o the_o same_o be_v capable_a the_o felicity_n of_o heaven_n on_o earth_n reason_n which_o be_v the_o light_n of_o true_a wisdom_n be_v according_a to_o some_o philosopher_n compound_v of_o all_o the_o virtue_n of_o the_o intellectual_a soul_n and_o by_o some_o say_v to_o be_v the_o only_a governess_n and_o directress_n of_o all_o divine_a virtue_n the_o same_o be_v also_o a_o attendant_n and_o a_o furtherance_n to_o all_o divine_a grace_n although_o faith_n be_v the_o principal_a and_o fountain_n of_o heavenly_a grace_n and_o infinite_o above_o our_o reason_n yet_o this_o divine_a grace_n of_o faith_n disdain_v not_o to_o make_v a_o good_a use_n of_o reason_n for_o the_o furtherance_n and_o advancement_n of_o all_o heavenly_a grace_n yet_o only_o so_o as_o her_o handmaid_n to_o rule_v control_n and_o govern_v she_o as_o a_o mistress_n how_o and_o when_o she_o please_v divine_a reason_n therefore_o which_o be_v the_o compound_v the_o light_n and_o directrix_fw-la of_o all_o virtue_n may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v also_o a_o daughter_n of_o heaven_n the_o handmaiden_n of_o divine_a faith_n and_o serve_v great_o to_o advance_v the_o honour_n and_o excellency_n thereof_o for_o the_o same_o often_o show_v direct_v and_o teach_v we_o to_o receive_v entertain_v and_o embrace_v this_o her_o heavenly_a mistress_n and_o to_o enjoy_v in_o she_o the_o delight_n of_o heaven_n in_o some_o measure_n on_o earth_n let_v we_o then_o brief_o see_v how_o this_o divine_a reason_n which_o be_v the_o sum_n and_o substance_n of_o virtue_n direct_v well_o prepare_v and_o dispose_v our_o mind_n to_o see_v attain_v and_o enjoy_v this_o heavenly_a happiness_n on_o earth_n reason_n be_v of_o such_o force_n as_o that_o it_o can_v pass_v from_o thing_n know_v to_o thing_n unknown_a it_o can_v abstract_a from_o visible_a thing_n thing_n invisible_a from_o corporeal_a jncorporeall_a general_n from_o particular_n high_a and_o mystical_a from_o plain_a and_o trivial_a thing_n by_o reason_n therefore_o it_o be_v that_o we_o can_v in_o some_o measure_n spell_n heaven_n from_o the_o earth_n and_o so_o already_o in_o some_o degree_n enjoy_v heaven_n yea_o and_o god_n himself_o of_o who_o it_o be_v say_v he_o be_v a_o sun_n who_o glory_n still_o do_v shine_v he_o be_v a_o mine_n of_o all_o excel_a treasure_n he_o be_v such_o who_o essence_n no_o one_o can_v define_v he_o be_v a_o paradise_n of_o heavenly_a pleasure_n let_v we_o therefore_o even_o by_o the_o light_n of_o reason_n look_v upward_o and_o take_v a_o view_n of_o heaven_n and_o of_o god_n himself_o we_o need_v mount_v up_o but_o eleven_o step_n according_a to_o astrologer_n from_o the_o earth_n thither_o the_o first_o stair_n be_v the_o sphere_n of_o the_o moon_n the_o second_o of_o mercury_n the_o three_o of_o venus_n name_n which_o they_o assign_v unto_o the_o heaven_n the_o four_o that_o of_o the_o sun_n the_o next_o of_o mars_n jupiter_n saturn_n then_o of_o the_o fix_a star_n the_o nine_o primum_fw-la mobile_n the_o ten_o the_o crystalline_a heaven_n and_o the_o high_a and_o infinite_o most_o excellent_a be_v the_o imperial_a which_o be_v god_n habitation_n this_o be_v the_o place_n of_o our_o eternity_n of_o our_o heavenly_a kingdom_n so_o that_o we_o can_v by_o our_o bodily_a eye_n from_o the_o earth_n look_v up_o to_o the_o moon_n the_o sun_n the_o starry_a heaven_n and_o therein_o sweet_o please_v ourselves_o in_o view_n and_o contemplation_n of_o their_o glorious_a aspect_n their_o amiable_a silver_n bright_a celestial_a ray_n from_o thence_o high_o even_o by_o the_o light_n of_o reason_n we_o can_v see_v beyond_o the_o sphere_n to_o the_o imperial_a heaven_n contemplate_v with_o admiration_n and_o reverence_n the_o sovereign_a lord_n and_o creator_n of_o all_o these_o god_n himself_o and_o so_o by_o and_o through_o these_o low_a glory_n the_o firmament_n sun_n moon_n star_n and_o all_o the_o celestial_a sphere_n we_o may_v in_o some_o measure_n spell_n learn_v and_o espy_v infinite_o more_o excellent_a heavenly_a glory_n delight_n and_o felicity_n the_o heaven_n declare_v the_o glory_n of_o god_n etc._n etc._n psal_n 19_o the_o earth_n also_o in_o some_o sort_n show_v we_o his_o excellency_n when_o therefore_o in_o reason_n we_o consider_v the_o motion_n the_o end_n and_o the_o cause_n efficient_a of_o all_o the_o creature_n of_o the_o earth_n their_o multitude_n also_o for_o all_o mutitude_n proceed_v from_o one_o unity_n
