contract_v it_o and_o so_o make_v it_o strong_a it_o will_v not_o be_v conquer_v but_o by_o the_o contrary_a habit_n of_o virtue_n which_o require_v time_n to_o be_v implant_v grow_v and_o get_v strength_n in_o the_o soul._n it_o may_v be_v that_o we_o have_v many_o vice_n to_o overcome_v and_o do_v we_o hope_v to_o do_v that_o present_o we_o have_v commit_v many_o error_n and_o can_v we_o repent_v of_o they_o all_o on_o a_o sudden_a we_o have_v many_o thing_n to_o do_v and_o those_o not_o easy_a to_o one_o accustom_v to_o sin_n we_o be_v to_o make_v ourselves_o vessel_n meet_v for_o our_o master_n use_n but_o it_o will_v require_v time_n to_o do_v it_o consider_v how_o we_o be_v put_v out_o of_o order_n by_o sin_n and_o therefore_o all_o possible_a speed_n be_v necessary_a in_o the_o practice_n of_o repentance_n 2._o as_o repentance_n must_v be_v speedy_a so_o it_o must_v be_v sincere_a and_o that_o we_o shall_v find_v if_o it_o answer_v those_o description_n of_o it_o which_o be_v give_v in_o holy_a scripture_n where_o it_o be_v call_v the_o renew_n of_o the_o mind_n crucify_a the_o old_a man_n and_o his_o deed_n put_v off_o the_o body_n of_o sin_n and_o destroy_v it_o crucify_a the_o flesh_n with_o the_o affection_n and_o lust_n purge_v ourselves_o from_o all_o filthiness_n of_o flesh_n and_o spirit_n and_o perfect_a holiness_n in_o god_n fear_n be_v make_v new_a creature_n and_o partaker_n of_o a_o divine_a nature_n with_o many_o more_o expression_n to_o the_o same_o purpose_n the_o sense_n of_o which_o be_v comprehend_v in_o these_o four_o particular_n and_o the_o alteration_n be_v so_o great_a that_o it_o denominate_v the_o penitent_a to_o be_v a_o new_a creature_n 6._o which_o be_v not_o mean_v as_o to_o transubstantiation_n of_o nature_n but_o emendation_n of_o temper_n make_v the_o penitent_n not_o another_o person_n but_o a_o better_a man._n a_o few_o scripture_n consider_v will_v make_v this_o so_o plain_a that_o every_o one_o may_v know_v what_o it_o mean_v and_o judge_v himself_o according_o it_o consist_v in_o two_o thing_n 1._o in_o change_n of_o apprehension_n 2._o in_o alteration_n of_o affection_n 1._o in_o change_n of_o apprehension_n he_o which_o be_v true_o penitent_a have_v another_o sense_n of_o thing_n than_o he_o have_v before_o which_o the_o apostle_n call_v renew_v in_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o mind_n by_o which_o he_o now_o understand_v the_o goodness_n of_o god_n and_o perceive_v that_o to_o be_v perfect_a and_o most_o acceptable_a of_o which_o he_o have_v but_o mean_a thought_n before_o
