supper_n of_o the_o lord_n not_o as_o to_o a_o common_a feast_n but_o with_o heavenly_a affection_n and_o all_o due_a preparation_n of_o soul_n mind_v his_o death_n the_o death_n of_o so_o great_a a_o one_o as_o the_o son_n of_o god_n the_o lord_n of_o glory_n and_o not_o of_o a_o ordinary_a man_n and_o that_o ignominious_a and_o painful_a the_o death_n of_o the_o cross_n his_o love_n herein_o and_o the_o love_n of_o his_o father_n and_o our_o inestimable_a benefit_n eternal_a redemption_n so_o as_o to_o be_v suitable_o wrought_v upon_o by_o all_o thus_o much_o you_o may_v have_v learn_v from_o the_o apostle_n if_o you_o have_v observe_v his_o word_n who_o tell_v we_o that_o as_o for_o eat_v and_o drink_v that_o be_v after_o the_o common_a manner_n we_o have_v house_n to_o do_v that_o in_o but_o this_o bread_n be_v christ_n body_n break_v for_o we_o and_o this_o cup_n be_v the_o new_a testament_n in_o his_o blood_n and_o we_o be_v to_o examine_v ourselves_o and_o to_o receive_v these_o in_o remembrance_n of_o he_o show_v forth_o his_o death_n herein_o and_o i_o pray_v you_o what_o be_v here_o unworthy_a of_o a_o christian_a and_o unfit_a for_o you_o to_o do_v what_o that_o be_v meau_fw-fr and_o elementary_a and_o not_o divine_a enough_o for_o the_o best_a but_o as_o for_o your_o discern_v of_o the_o lord_n body_n his_o dead_a body_n from_o his_o live_a body_n the_o live_a soul_n from_o the_o quicken_a spirit_n as_o you_o intend_v it_o not_o of_o his_o supper_n so_o have_v it_o nothing_o to_o do_v with_o the_o text._n j._n n._n love_n to_o the_o lose_a p._n 54._o etc._n etc._n this_o be_v institute_v by_o christ_n as_o they_o sit_v at_o meat_n and_o do_v eat_v and_o so_o often_o as_o they_o do_v eat_v and_o drink_v thereof_o they_o be_v to_o do_v it_o in_o remembrance_n of_o he_o show_v his_o death_n till_o he_o come_v and_o this_o be_v that_o the_o apostle_n receive_v of_o the_o lord_n and_o be_v practise_v in_o the_o purity_n of_o the_o church_n which_o break_v bread_n from_o house_n to_o house_n do_v eat_v their_o meat_n with_o gladness_n and_o singleness_n of_o heart_n and_o this_o be_v to_o be_v do_v at_o all_o season_n when_o they_o eat_v and_o drink_v in_o their_o eat_n and_o drink_v they_o be_v to_o do_v it_o to_o the_o lord_n and_o herein_o to_o have_v communion_n with_o his_o body_n and_o blood_n yea_o when_o they_o be_v to_o have_v communion_n with_o the_o gentile_n they_o be_v to_o partake_v of_o the_o table_n of_o the_o lord_n 1_o cor._n 10._o many_o excess_n have_v overtake_v they_o for_o want_n of_o eat_v always_o in_o his_o fear_n and_o in_o remembrance_n of_o his_o come_n have_v put_v his_o come_n afar_o off_o into_o another_o world_n and_o be_v become_v reprobate_a in_o the_o faith_n as_o to_o his_o appearance_n and_o to_o avoid_v this_o it_o be_v that_o the_o lord_n jesus_n command_v his_o disciple_n in_o eat_v and_o drink_v to_o show_v forth_o his_o death_n till_o he_o come_v it_o must_v needs_o be_v that_o they_o return_v into_o the_o pleasure_n of_o the_o flesh_n that_o discern_v not_o his_o body_n in_o their_o eating_n who_o be_v the_o body_n of_o all_o creature_n and_o this_o be_v know_v from_o the_o lord_n in_o the_o eternal_a to_o be_v the_o true_a end_n of_o the_o supper_n of_o the_o lord_n institute_v and_o appoint_v that_o in_o remembrance_n of_o his_o death_n they_o may_v be_v keep_v from_o all_o excess_n it_o be_v easy_a to_o say_v this_o be_v from_o the_o lord_n but_o nothing_o be_v more_o dreadful_a than_o to_o lay_v error_n upon_o the_o holy_a ghost_n notwithstanding_o the_o people_n out_o of_o reverence_n to_o that_o holy_a one_o believe_v it_o and_o reverence_v the_o assertor_n show_v a_o syllable_n that_o intimate_v that_o our_o lord_n institute_v his_o supper_n for_o a_o remembrance_n of_o his_o death_n in_o our_o ordinary_a daily_a eat_n and_o drink_v or_o that_o the_o reason_n he_o take_v bread_n and_o wine_n when_o he_o do_v eat_v the_o passeover_n with_o his_o disciple_n and_o say_v take_v eat_v this_o be_v my_o body_n drink_v you_o all_o of_o it_o for_o this_o be_v my_o blood_n this_o do_v in_o remembrance_n of_o i_o be_v to_o show_v we_o that_o whenever_o we_o take_v our_o common_a meal_n we_o shall_v feed_v ourselves_o in_o his_o fear_n as_o the_o remembrance_n of_o his_o death_n require_v nothing_o be_v more_o clear_a than_o that_o he_o mean_v a_o peculiar_a eat_n and_o drink_v for_o say_v he_o this_o be_v my_o body_n this_o be_v my_o blood_n be_v all_o bread_n and_o wine_n his_o body_n and_o blood_n or_o do_v they_o so_o signify_v nay_o though_o there_o be_v on_o our_o table_n neither_o of_o these_o creature_n but_o only_a butter_n and_o cheese_n and_o egg_n beer_n and_o water_n and_o milk_n again_o the_o apostle_n do_v not_o say_v as_o oft_o as_o you_o eat_v and_o drink_v but_o as_o oft_o as_o you_o eat_v this_o bread_n and_o drink_v this_o cup_n you_o show_v the_o lord_n death_n 1_o cor._n 11._o manifest_o distinguish_v this_o bread_n and_o wine_n from_o cabbage_n and_o ale_n and_o whatsoever_o else_o be_v our_o common_a food_n and_o again_o 1_o cor._n 10._o the_o cup_n of_o blessing_n
