but_o half_a a_o saviour_n one_o that_o free_v we_o indeed_o froman_n external_n evil_a but_o leave_v we_o irremediable_o expose_v to_o a_o internal_a one_o as_o grievous_a as_o the_o other_o one_o we_o of_o the_o happiness_n of_o mankind_n for_o whilst_o they_o suppose_v that_o a_o man_n under_o the_o power_n and_o dominion_n of_o sin_n be_v capable_a of_o that_o happiness_n which_o christ_n purchase_v for_o we_o in_o the_o other_o world_n which_o happiness_n as_o both_o scripture_n and_o reason_n testify_v do_v chief_o consist_v in_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o excellency_n and_o perfection_n they_o must_v at_o the_o same_o time_n suppose_v that_o a_o man_n may_v berendr_v happy_a by_o the_o enjoyment_n of_o that_o of_o which_o he_o have_v no_o sense_n no_o offer_v whereas_o those_o that_o be_v under_o the_o law_n be_v force_v to_o have_v many_o nay_o even_o the_o most_o solemn_a sacrifice_n that_o god_n have_v appoint_v for_o the_o expiation_n of_o their_o sin_n be_v repeat_v once_o a_o year_n as_o the_o apostle_n tell_v we_o in_o the_o verse_n before_o my_o text._n but_o now_o the_o sacrifice_n of_o christ_n which_o he_o put_v by_o way_n of_o opposition_n to_o they_o that_o be_v but_o once_o offer_v and_o be_v never_o to_o be_v repeat_v this_o be_v the_o point_n with_o which_o he_o conclude_v this_o chapter_n two_o verse_n after_o my_o oblation_n and_o these_o in_o the_o language_n of_o scripture_n be_v sacrifice_n with_o which_o god_n be_v well_o please_v we_o likewise_o offer_v our_o sacrifice_n of_o praise_n and_o thanksgiving_n to_o god_n for_o the_o death_n of_o our_o saviour_n and_o all_o our_o prayer_n and_o supplication_n we_o put_v up_o in_o his_o name_n and_o in_o the_o virtue_n and_o for_o the_o merit_n of_o that_o this_o world_n we_o think_v religion_n good_a for_o nothing_o but_o to_o spoil_v good_a company_n to_o make_v we_o melancholy_a and_o mopish_a to_o distract_v we_o in_o our_o business_n and_o employment_n and_o to_o put_v so_o many_o restraint_n upon_o we_o that_o we_o can_v neither_o with_o that_o freedom_n nor_o success_n pursue_v our_o temporal_a concernment_n which_o we_o think_v necessary_a to_o our_o happiness_n in_o this_o world_n but_o let_v we_o suppose_v thing_n to_o be_v thus_o with_o religion_n as_o we_o have_v fancy_v yet_o can_v this_o be_v any_o reasonable_a excuse_n for_o our_o carelessness_n about_o it_o what_o though_o there_o be_v no_o visible_a benefit_n by_o a_o religious_a life_n in_o this_o world_n what_o though_o the_o reward_n of_o our_o pain_n about_o it_o be_v only_o in_o reversion_n yet_o since_o a_o time_n will_v come_v when_o it_o will_v be_v our_o great_a interest_n to_o have_v be_v hearty_o religious_a be_v it_o not_o a_o madness_n now_o to_o neglect_v it_o what_o though_o religion_n be_v a_o course_n of_o life_n difficult_a and_o unpleasant_a a_o way_n strew_v with_o brier_n and_o thorn_n a_o way_n which_o if_o we_o follow_v we_o be_v certain_o lose_v as_o to_o our_o hope_n of_o any_o thing_n here_o yet_o since_o a_o time_n will_v certain_o come_v when_o we_o shall_v wish_v that_o we_o have_v be_v good_a christian_n though_o we_o have_v lose_v our_o right_a eye_n and_o our_o right_a hand_n upon_o the_o condition_n when_o we_o shall_v wish_v that_o we_o have_v purchase_v virtue_n though_o at_o the_o rate_n of_o the_o loss_n of_o the_o whole_a world_n for_o god_n sake_n why_o shall_v we_o not_o be_v of_o the_o same_o mind_n now_o who_o but_o fool_n and_o child_n but_o will_v look_v upon_o that_o which_o shall_v certain_o and_o unavoidable_o be_v with_o the_o same_o regard_n as_o if_o it_o be_v now_o present_a but_o indeed_o this_o be_v not_o the_o case_n of_o religion_n this_o business_n of_o piety_n be_v not_o so_o formidable_a as_o we_o often_o represent_v it_o it_o be_v no_o such_o enemy_n to_o our_o temporal_a design_n it_o be_v a_o very_a innocent_a thing_n and_o will_v do_v we_o no_o harm_n though_o we_o look_v no_o far_o than_o this_o present_a world_n it_o will_v hinder_v none_o of_o our_o delight_n or_o pleasure_n but_o will_v allow_v we_o to_o gratify_v every_o appetite_n that_o god_n and_o nature_n have_v put_v into_o we_o and_o if_o any_o man_n doubt_v this_o let_v he_o name_v that_o natural_a desire_n which_o the_o christian_a religion_n do_v forbid_v or_o any_o way_n hinder_v the_o innocent_a satisfaction_n of_o i_o be_o confident_a he_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o name_v none_o since_o this_o be_v the_o case_n then_o how_o much_o more_o childish_a than_o child_n
