thou_o to_o be_v feed_v with_o that_o food_n that_o never_o come_v into_o thy_o mouth_n or_o to_o recover_v health_n by_o those_o drug_n which_o never_o be_v apply_v it_o be_v as_o impossible_a for_o thou_o to_o be_v feed_v by_o the_o body_n of_o christ_n and_o to_o get_v thy_o health_n by_o the_o blood_n of_o christ_n except_o thou_o first_o eat_v his_o body_n and_o drink_v his_o blood_n then_o you_o see_v that_o the_o thing_n signify_v in_o the_o lord_n supper_n be_v not_o the_o fruit_n so_o much_o as_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n and_o christ_n jesus_n which_o be_v the_o fountain_n and_o substance_n from_o which_o all_o these_o fruit_n do_v flow_v and_o proceed_v then_o i_o say_v suppose_v christ_n who_o be_v the_o thing_n signify_v one_o remain_v always_o one_o and_o the_o same_o wash_v the_o soul_n than_o the_o blood_n of_o christ._n in_o this_o sacrament_n he_o have_v appoint_v bread_n and_o wine_n why_o because_o there_o be_v nothing_o more_o meet_a to_o nourish_v the_o body_n than_o bread_n and_o wine_n so_o the_o lord_n have_v not_o choose_v these_o sign_n without_o a_o reason_n as_o the_o sign_n in_o the_o sacrament_n be_v not_o always_o one_o so_o the_o same_o in_o both_o be_v not_o of_o one_o number_n for_o in_o baptism_n we_o have_v but_o one_o element_n in_o this_o sacrament_n we_o have_v two_o element_n now_o what_o be_v the_o reason_n of_o this_o diversity_n two_o that_o the_o lord_n in_o the_o one_o sacrament_n have_v appoint_v two_o sign_n and_o in_o the_o other_o but_o one_o sign_n i_o will_v show_v you_o the_o reason_n he_o have_v appoint_v only_o one_o sign_n in_o baptism_n to_o wit_n water_n because_o water_n be_v sufficient_a enough_o for_o the_o whole_a if_o water_n have_v not_o be_v sufficient_a to_o represent_v the_o thing_n signify_v he_o will_v have_v appoint_v another_o sign_n but_o in_o respect_n that_o water_n do_v the_o turn_n and_o represent_v full_o the_o wash_n of_o our_o soul_n by_o the_o blood_n of_o soul_n that_o thy_o soul_n may_v seed_v on_o he_o and_o be_v quicken_v with_o that_o life_n wherewith_o the_o angel_n live_v wherewith_o the_o son_n of_o god_n and_o god_n himself_o live_v so_o the_o flesh_n of_o christ_n be_v not_o appoint_v to_o nourish_v thy_o body_n but_o to_o nourish_v thy_o soul_n in_o the_o hope_n yea_o in_o the_o growth_n of_o that_o immortal_a life_n and_o therefore_o i_o we_o see_v that_o god_n have_v make_v these_o thing_n holy_a and_o not_o only_o that_o he_o have_v make_v they_o holy_a but_o let_v we_o see_v a_o holy_a manner_n how_o they_o shall_v be_v use_v in_o what_o place_n at_o what_o time_n with_o what_o heart_n and_o to_o what_o end_n so_o it_o be_v the_o will_n christ_n declare_v in_o his_o institution_n whereby_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v common_a before_o be_v now_o make_v holy_a there_o be_v two_o other_o thing_n also_o which_o make_v the_o same_o element_n holy_a and_o these_o two_o be_v use_v in_o this_o institution_n there_o be_v prayer_n and_o thanksgiving_n which_o make_v the_o creature_n of_o god_n holy_a to_o our_o use_n whereas_o otherwise_o if_o we_o receive_v the_o good_a creature_n of_o god_n like_a dog_n and_o thank_v he_o not_o for_o they_o it_o be_v a_o sure_a token_n that_o they_o be_v never_o sanctify_v to_o our_o use_n by_o prayer_n we_o obtain_v grace_n and_o strength_n from_o god_n to_o use_v the_o creature_n only_o but_o by_o the_o use_n of_o prayer_n and_o thanksgiving_n which_o three_o be_v the_o only_a mean_n whereby_o these_o thing_n be_v sanctify_v now_o to_o express_v and_o lay_v forth_o the_o the_o 23._o verse_n he_o use_v the_o word_n â—o_o give_v thanks_n and_o both_o in_o one_o signification_n to_o let_v you_o see_v that_o the_o apostle_n christ_n himself_o and_o the_o evangelist_n able_a to_o fetch_v and_o pull_v down_o another_o substance_n to_o wit_n the_o flesh_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n jesus_n that_o sit_v at_o the_o right_a hand_n of_o his_o father_n and_o be_v able_a to_o put_v it_o within_o the_o compass_n of_o that_o bread_n this_o be_v a_o strange_a and_o a_o great_a virtue_n that_o not_o only_o will_v overthrow_v that_o substance_n but_o put_v it_o within_o the_o compass_n of_o that_o bread_n the_o same_o five_o word_n whisper_v in_o this_o manner_n have_v such_o a_o monstrous_a operation_n say_v they_o that_o they_o be_v able_a both_o to_o chase_v away_o the_o one_o substance_n to_o pull_v down_o another_o and_o to_o put_v it_o within_o the_o compass_n of_o that_o bread_n we_o altogether_o deny_v that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o virtue_n in_o these_o word_n for_o as_o i_o have_v say_v before_o we_o deny_v not_o that_o the_o word_n have_v a_o virtue_n but_o deny_v that_o there_o be_v such_o a_o virtue_n enclose_v in_o the_o word_n we_o deny_v the_o quality_n of_o the_o virtue_n or_o that_o it_o flow_v from_o such_o a_o fountain_n for_o we_o grant_v that_o the_o word_n have_v a_o virtue_n there_o be_v never_o a_o word_n that_o god_n speak_v here_o but_o it_o have_v a_o virtue_n join_v with_o it_o but_o we_o deny_v that_o this_o virtue_n be_v enclose_v in_o the_o syllable_n in_o the_o whisper_n or_o pronounce_v of_o the_o word_n
