he_o for_o god_n sake_n not_o for_o our_o own_o or_o any_o worldly_a respect_n now_o godliness_n produce_v this_o love_n towards_o our_o neighbour_n 1_o because_o it_o teach_v we_o to_o obey_v god_n commandment_n who_o have_v command_v we_o to_o love_v our_o neighbour_n 2_o because_o it_o teach_v we_o to_o love_v the_o image_n of_o god_n and_o every_o gift_n of_o god_n in_o our_o neighbour_n 3_o because_o it_o bring_v we_o to_o imitate_v god_n himself_o in_o the_o communicate_v of_o good_a therefore_o godliness_n which_o be_v separate_v from_o charity_n be_v not_o true_a godliness_n and_o that_o charity_n which_o be_v separate_v from_o godliness_n be_v not_o true_a charity_n but_o either_o hypocrisy_n or_o some_o humane_a civility_n use_v 1_o this_o may_v serve_v to_o exhort_v we_o to_o show_v and_o adorn_v our_o godliness_n towards_o god_n by_o our_o love_n towards_o our_o neighbour_n 2._o to_o reprove_v those_o that_o make_v show_v of_o much_o godliness_n towards_o god_n when_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n they_o take_v all_o occasion_n to_o wrong_v their_o neighbour_n if_o so_o be_v they_o may_v by_o any_o mean_v advantage_n themselves_o thereby_o doct._n 11._o this_o love_n shall_v be_v extend_v unto_o all_o man_n but_o chief_o to_o be_v use_v towards_o the_o brethren_n for_o so_o they_o be_v distinct_o set_v down_o verse_n 7._o brotherly_o kindness_n and_o charity_n both_o of_o these_o be_v proper_a and_o peculiar_a to_o christian_n for_o the_o christian_n alone_o love_v all_o even_o his_o enemy_n and_o he_o alone_o also_o love_v the_o brethren_n that_o first_o be_v lay_v down_o verse_n 8._o the_o second_o verse_n 9_o the_o benefit_n propose_v be_v contain_v in_o these_o word_n they_o make_v you_o that_o you_o shall_v neither_o be_v barren_a nor_o unfruitful_a where_o by_o a_o negation_n be_v mean_v the_o contrary_a affirmation_n namely_o that_o by_o these_o virtue_n they_o shall_v be_v quick_a and_o active_a and_o also_o fruitful_a which_o
