the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n so_o do_v mercy_n not_o only_o escape_v but_o triumph_n over_o judgement_n in_o each_o part_n of_o this_o description_n of_o the_o distributive_a justice_n or_o judgement_n of_o god_n in_o the_o latter_a day_n a_o common_a synecdoche_n of_o the_o part_n for_o the_o whole_a must_v be_v understand_v that_o be_v in_o the_o assignment_n of_o the_o respective_a reason_n of_o the_o contrary_a judgement_n of_o absolution_n and_o condemnation_n for_o neither_o will_n charity_n be_v respect_v as_o the_o only_a reason_n or_o condition_n of_o the_o reward_n but_o therewith_o also_o all_o other_o christian_a virtue_n and_o good_a work_n especial_o that_o of_o a_o unfeigned_a faith_n as_o the_o root_n of_o they_o all_o nor_o will_v the_o want_n of_o charity_n or_o the_o vice_n most_o contrary_a to_o it_o be_v the_o only_a reason_n of_o the_o sentence_n of_o condemnation_n but_o all_o other_o sin_n against_o the_o know_a will_n of_o god_n will_v be_v joint_o respect_v in_o the_o award_v punishment_n but_o since_o it_o have_v please_v our_o saviour_n who_o be_v himself_o to_o be_v judge_n at_o that_o day_n to_o specify_v these_o two_o opposite_a practice_n as_o the_o only_a instance_n of_o the_o reason_n of_o his_o future_a judgement_n we_o have_v sufficient_a ground_n to_o conclude_v that_o they_o will_v be_v especial_o though_o not_o only_o consider_v by_o he_o in_o that_o judgement_n the_o same_o synecdoche_n of_o the_o part_n for_o the_o whole_a necessary_a to_o be_v understand_v in_o the_o word_n of_o our_o saviour_n which_o we_o have_v last_o mention_v be_v no_o less_o necessary_a to_o be_v understand_v in_o all_o promise_v of_o the_o same_o reward_n to_o any_o particular_a virtue_n or_o sort_n of_o good_a work_n of_o any_o kind_n partly_o because_o no_o single_a virtue_n that_o be_v sincere_a and_o genuine_a can_v exist_v without_o a_o connexion_n of_o all_o other_o virtue_n as_o have_v be_v often_o notify_v in_o the_o doctrine_n as_o well_o of_o heathen_a as_o christian_a virtue_n and_o partly_o because_o no_o single_a virtue_n in_o the_o want_n of_o the_o rest_n can_v be_v enough_o to_o qualify_v a_o man_n for_o the_o state_n of_o the_o heavenly_a life_n or_o render_v a_o man_n so_o much_o as_o capable_a thereof_o because_o that_o life_n do_v require_v as_o a_o indispensible_a preparative_a for_o it_o such_o a_o principle_n of_o divine_a life_n or_o holiness_n as_o comprehend_v the_o habit_n and_o disposition_n at_o least_o of_o all_o goodness_n and_o as_o be_v perfect_o inconsistent_a with_o a_o total_a privation_n of_o any_o real_a virtue_n so_o that_o if_o it_o be_v possible_a for_o a_o man_n to_o have_v any_o such_o virtue_n in_o he_o as_o charity_n with_o a_o total_a privation_n of_o sobriety_n humility_n temperance_n and_o piety_n towards_o god_n he_o can_v not_o be_v capable_a of_o that_o benefit_n or_o reward_v which_o the_o text_n speak_v of_o that_o be_v of_o have_v all_o his_o sin_n cover_v or_o perfect_o discharge_v from_o all_o punishment_n at_o the_o last_o judgement_n although_o that_o single_a virtue_n however_o imperfect_a and_o insincere_a may_v possible_o abate_v the_o degree_n of_o punishment_n for_o the_o want_n of_o the_o rest_n as_o have_v be_v intiâ—â—â—â—ed_v before_o but_o although_o in_o the_o promise_n of_o this_o reward_n to_o any_o particular_a virtue_n or_o sort_n of_o good_a work_n there_o be_v a_o necessity_n of_o the_o foresay_a synecdoche_n yet_o in_o the_o threaten_n of_o judgement_n to_o particular_a vice_n there_o be_v no_o necessity_n of_o any_o such_o figure_n because_o as_o there_o be_v no_o such_o necessary_a connexion_n of_o all_o sort_n of_o vice_n as_o there_o be_v of_o virtue_n some_o of_o which_o be_v contrary_a and_o inconsistent_a with_o some_o other_o so_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o any_o one_o vice_n notwithstanding_o any_o freedom_n from_o other_o be_v enough_o to_o reader_n a_o man_n liable_a to_o the_o sentence_n of_o condemnation_n as_o in_o humane_a justice_n one_o capital_a crime_n render_v a_o man_n liable_a to_o death_n notwithstanding_o any_o possible_a plea_n of_o innocence_n as_o to_o other_o crime_n and_o one_o mortal_a disease_n will_v kill_v a_o man_n notwithstanding_o any_o freedom_n from_o other_o disease_n so_o in_o the_o last_o judgement_n if_o a_o man_n be_v able_a to_o plead_v as_o many_o will_v be_v that_o they_o be_v no_o idolater_n whoremaster_n thief_n or_o other_o sort_n of_o criminal_n and_o that_o they_o be_v not_o guilty_a of_o starve_v any_o body_n or_o deprive_v they_o of_o their_o bread_n rob_v or_o oppress_v or_o cast_v into_o prison_n or_o other_o like_a breach_n of_o charity_n no_o such_o plea_n will_v hold_v before_o the_o righteous_a judge_n which_o will_v never_o change_v any_o thing_n upon_o a_o man_n that_o he_o be_v not_o guilty_a of_o nor_o do_v he_o instance_n in_o any_o such_o practice_n in_o this_o monitory_a description_n of_o his_o last_o judgement_n he_o say_v not_o you_o rob_v i_o of_o my_o meat_n drink_v or_o clothe_v or_o you_o wrong_v i_o by_o violence_n or_o fraud_n but_o you_o feed_v i_o not_o when_o i_o be_v hungry_a you_o clothe_v i_o not_o when_o i_o be_v naked_a you_o relieve_v i_o not_o in_o my_o necessity_n neither_o do_v you_o visit_v or_o comfort_v i_o in_o my_o distress_n go_v therefore_o you_o curse_v etc._n etc._n not_o for_o your_o injustice_n or_o injury_n but_o for_o your_o uncharitableness_n what_o can_v our_o bless_a lord_n mean_v by_o this_o negative_a manner_n of_o describe_v his_o future_a judgement_n but_o to_o warn_v all_o people_n of_o that_o vulgar_a deceit_n which_o they_o be_v so_o
