other_o exciseable_a liquor_n bring_v from_o thence_o except_o beer_n ale_n and_o mum_o shall_v be_v chargeable_a with_o the_o like_a duty_n as_o be_v charge_v upon_o the_o like_a liquor_n make_v in_o this_o kingdom_n and_o before_o the_o land_n of_o any_o such_o liquor_n the_o importer_n or_o owner_n shall_v make_v oath_n before_o the_o collector_n or_o principal_a officer_n of_o the_o custom_n of_o the_o port_n where_o they_o be_v to_o be_v land_v that_o they_o be_v of_o the_o growth_n and_o manufacture_n of_o the_o say_a island_n and_o not_o mix_v with_o any_o foreign_a material_n and_o if_o they_o be_v import_v before_o due_a entry_n such_o oath_n make_v and_o the_o duty_n pay_v they_o shall_v be_v destroy_v and_o person_n concern_v in_o their_o importation_n shall_v incur_v the_o follow_v viz._n 570000_o l._n to_o the_o building_n and_o furnish_v 27_o ship_n of_o war_n whereof_o 17_o to_o be_v of_o the_o three_o rate_n and_o to_o contain_v 1100_o tun_n and_o carry_v 80_o gun_n apiece_o and_o 10_o to_o be_v of_o the_o four_o rate_n and_o to_o contain_v 900_o tun_n and_o carry_v 60_o gun_n apiece_o the_o say_v ship_n to_o be_v build_v and_o furnish_v with_o all_o convenient_a expedition_n and_o the_o whole_a number_n to_o be_v complete_a within_o 4_o year_n from_o the_o 25_o day_n of_o march_n 1691._o li._n and_o that_o the_o say_a sum_n of_o 570000_o l._n may_v be_v apply_v according_o and_o their_o majesty_n be_v enable_v to_o borrow_v upon_o the_o credit_n of_o this_o act_n any_o sum_n not_o exceed_v 1000000_o l._n for_o the_o use_v of_o the_o war_n be_v it_o the_o say_a commissioner_n of_o excise_n shall_v pay_v the_o say_a money_n weekly_o into_o the_o receipt_n of_o the_o exchequer_n apart_o from_o other_o money_n lii_o and_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o receipt_n of_o the_o exchequer_n shall_v keep_v the_o money_n pay_v in_o by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n or_o of_o the_o say_v former_a act_n and_o the_o account_n thereof_o apart_o and_o a_o particular_a account_n of_o the_o building_n and_o furnish_v the_o say_a ship_n liii_o out_o of_o the_o money_n so_o from_o time_n to_o time_n pay_v in_o one_o three_o part_n shall_v yearly_o be_v pay_v out_o towards_o the_o building_n and_o furnish_v the_o say_a ship_n and_o the_o commissioner_n of_o the_o treasury_n shall_v sign_v no_o warrant_n for_o issue_v out_o any_o part_n of_o the_o say_v three_o part_n to_o any_o but_o the_o treasurer_n of_o the_o navy_n or_o treasurer_n or_o paymaster_n of_o the_o ordnance_n express_v therein_o that_o the_o same_o be_v for_o building_n and_o furnish_v the_o say_v 27_o ship_n of_o war_n nor_o shall_v the_o auditor_n of_o the_o receipt_n draw_v any_o order_n for_o issue_v any_o part_n thereof_o otherwise_o then_o as_o aforesaid_a nor_o shall_v he_o direct_v or_o the_o clerk_n of_o the_o bell_n record_v or_o the_o teller_n pay_v any_o part_n thereof_o by_o virtue_n of_o any_o warrant_n or_o order_n otherwise_o then_o as_o aforesaid_a liv._o the_o treasurer_n of_o the_o navy_n and_o treasurer_n or_o paymaster_n of_o the_o ordnance_n may_v transfer_v any_o part_n thereof_o payable_a to_o they_o upon_o any_o order_n by_o endorsement_n upon_o such_o order_n and_o such_o assignee_n may_v assign_v toties_fw-la quoties_fw-la lv._o the_o treasurer_n of_o the_o navy_n and_o treasurer_n or_o paymaster_n of_o the_o ordnance_n shall_v keep_v such_o money_n apart_o and_o issue_v the_o same_o by_o warrant_n from_o the_o principal_a officer_n and_o commissioner_n of_o the_o navy_n or_o ordnance_n respective_o or_o any_o three_o or_o more_o of_o they_o mention_v that_o it_o be_v for_o building_n and_o furnish_v the_o say_a ship_n nor_o shall_v the_o say_v principal_a officer_n and_o commissioner_n sign_v any_o warrant_n for_o pay_v any_o of_o the_o say_a money_n to_o any_o other_o use_v or_o purpose_n lvi_o any_o person_n may_v lend_v money_n upon_o the_o credit_n of_o two_o three_o part_n of_o the_o money_n to_o be_v bring_v in_o by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n not_o exceed_v 1000000_o l._n and_o have_v interest_n at_o the_o rate_n of_o 7_o l._n per_fw-la cent._n lvii_o and_o if_o the_o commissioner_n or_o governor_n of_o the_o excise_n refuse_v or_o neglect_v to_o pay_v in_o the_o say_a money_n as_o aforesaid_a or_o misapply_v any_o part_n thereof_o and_o if_o any_o officer_n belong_v to_o the_o exchequer_n navy_n or_o ordnance_n shall_v offend_v against_o any_o clause_n of_o this_o act_n or_o misapply_v any_o money_n contrary_a to_o the_o intent_n thereof_o they_o shall_v lose_v their_o place_n and_o be_v disable_v to_o execute_v any_o office_n or_o place_n of_o trust_n and_o shall_v pay_v the_o full_a value_n of_o any_o sum_n so_o misapply_v to_o any_o person_n who_o will_v sue_v for_o the_o same_o in_o any_o of_o their_o majesty_n court_n of_o record_n at_o westminster_n lviii_o and_o no_o stay_n of_o prosecution_n shall_v be_v admit_v by_o any_o court_n in_o any_o proceed_v for_o the_o recovery_n of_o any_o the_o penalty_n by_o this_o act_n inflict_v or_o for_o or_o in_o order_n to_o the_o conviction_n or_o disability_n of_o any_o person_n offend_v against_o this_o act._n lix_n after_o the_o 25_o day_n of_o december_n 1690._o during_o the_o continuance_n of_o the_o act_n make_v this_o session_n entitle_v a_o act_n for_o grant_v to_o their_o majesty_n certain_a imposition_n upon_o all_o east-india_n good_n and_o manufacture_n and_o upon_o all_o wrought_a silk_n etc._n etc._n and_o of_o one_o other_o act_n entitle_v a_o act_n for_o the_o the_o money_n payable_a by_o the_o say_a act_n next_o recite_v which_o money_n shall_v remain_v from_o time_n to_o time_n after_o the_o payment_n which_o shall_v be_v make_v thereout_o by_o any_o law_n in_o force_n upon_o debenture_n for_o good_n that_o shall_v be_v reshipt_v or_o for_o corn_n export_v or_o upon_o discount_n upon_o bond_n and_o of_o such_o allowance_n of_o damage_v good_n and_o victual_n for_o the_o navy_n and_o to_o the_o expense_n of_o the_o office_n of_o ordnance_n with_o respect_n to_o naval_a affair_n and_o to_o other_o necessary_a uses_n of_o the_o navy_n in_o the_o time_n aforesaid_a and_o out_o of_o all_o other_o money_n that_o shall_v be_v pay_v into_o the_o exchequer_n upon_o loan_n or_o otherwise_o by_o virtue_n of_o this_o or_o any_o other_o act_n of_o this_o session_n for_o grant_v aid_n or_o supply_n for_o reduce_v ireland_n or_o prosecute_a the_o war_n against_o france_n other_o then_o what_o be_v appropriate_v by_o this_o act_n and_o the_o act_n for_o grant_v a_o aid_n to_o their_o majesty_n of_o the_o sum_n of_o 751702_o l._n 18_o s._n for_o the_o payment_n of_o seaman_n etc._n etc._n the_o sum_n of_o 1500000_o l._n shall_v be_v appropriate_v to_o the_o payment_n of_o the_o land_n force_n and_o other_o charge_n relate_v thereunto_o and_o all_o other_o money_n payable_a into_o the_o exchequer_n by_o virtue_n of_o any_o of_o the_o say_a act_n shall_v be_v apply_v to_o the_o prosecution_n of_o the_o war_n against_o france_n and_o reduce_v of_o ireland_n and_o the_o

be_v pay_v out_o of_o the_o next_o aid_n to_o be_v grant_v in_o parliament_n lxxxvii_o if_o the_o whole_a sum_n of_o 1000000_o l._n be_v not_o advance_v before_o the_o say_v one_a day_n of_o may_n any_o person_n after_o that_o day_n and_o before_o the_o 29_o of_o september_n next_o follow_v may_v advance_v any_o sum_n not_o exceed_v in_o the_o whole_a with_o what_o shall_v have_v be_v advance_v before_o the_o say_v one_a day_n of_o may_n the_o sum_n of_o 1000000_o l._n upon_o the_o term_n follow_v viz._n that_o every_o such_o person_n out_o of_o the_o duty_n arise_v by_o this_o act_n shall_v have_v for_o every_o 100_o l._n a_o yearly_a annuity_n of_o 14_o l._n for_o his_o own_o or_o any_o other_o life_n to_o be_v by_o he_o nominate_v as_o aforesaid_a within_o 6_o day_n after_o payment_n which_o annuity_n shall_v commence_v from_o the_o 29_o of_o september_n 1693._o and_o be_v pay_v at_o the_o four_o most_o usual_a feast_n in_o the_o year_n and_o upon_o payment_n of_o any_o such_o sum_n the_o person_n pay_v the_o same_o shall_v have_v one_o or_o more_o tally_n import_v the_o receipt_n thereof_o and_o order_n for_o payment_n etc._n etc._n to_o be_v sign_v as_o aforesaid_a and_o collect_v for_o any_o long_a time_n than_o by_o this_o act_n direct_v or_o pay_v any_o part_n thereof_o to_o any_o other_o person_n than_o the_o head-collector_n or_o receiver-general_n of_o such_o place_n every_o such_o collector_n shall_v forfeit_v 10_o l._n and_o if_o any_o head-collector_n shall_v detain_v in_o his_o hand_n or_o pay_v any_o money_n to_o any_o other_o than_o the_o receiver-general_n of_o such_o place_n every_o such_o head-collector_n shall_v forfeit_v 40_o l._n and_o if_o any_o receiver-general_n or_o his_o deputy_n shall_v pay_v such_o money_n or_o any_o part_n thereof_o pay_v to_o he_o by_o this_o act_n to_o any_o person_n whatsoever_o other_o than_o the_o receipt_n of_o their_o majesty_n exchequer_n within_o the_o time_n limit_v by_o this_o act_n empower_v to_o summon_v such_o person_n before_o they_o and_o unless_o he_o or_o she_o shall_v produce_v a_o certificate_n make_v according_a to_o the_o direction_n of_o this_o act_n whereby_o it_o may_v appear_v that_o he_o or_o she_o have_v pay_v all_o their_o precedent_n quarterly_a payment_n the_o say_a commissioner_n be_v hereby_o require_v to_o cause_v such_o person_n to_o be_v assess_v for_o such_o quarterly_a payment_n as_o remain_v unassess_v to_o be_v assess_v and_o pay_v according_a to_o the_o true_a intent_n of_o this_o act._n xxxii_o cent._n the_o king_n may_v borrow_v upon_o this_o act_n at_o 7_o l._n per_fw-la cent._n it_o shall_v and_o may_v be_v lawful_a for_o any_o person_n native_a or_o foreigner_n body_n politic_a or_o corporate_a to_o lend_v to_o their_o majesty_n upon_o the_o security_n of_o this_o act_n any_o sum_n of_o money_n and_o to_o receive_v for_o the_o forbearance_n thereof_o any_o sum_n not_o exceed_v 7_o l._n per_fw-la cent._n for_o one_o whole_a more_o than_o one_o rectory_n or_o vicarage_n additional_a supply_v for_o 118506_o l._n 5_o s._n 10_o d._n i._o stat._n 5_o w._n &_o m._n sess_n 5._o cap._n 5._o that_o it_o shall_v and_o may_v be_v lawful_a for_o any_o person_n native_n or_o foreigner_n to_o contribute_v towards_o the_o advance_v the_o sum_n of_o 118506_o l._n 5_o s._n 10_o d._n to_o make_v up_o the_o whole_a sum_n of_o 1000000_o l._n grant_v to_o their_o majesty_n by_o a_o act_n make_v this_o present_a parliament_n intend_v to_o be_v advance_v by_o pay_v into_o their_o majesty_n exchequer_n at_o any_o time_n before_o the_o first_o day_n of_o may_n 1694._o any_o sum_n or_o sum_n of_o money_n not_o exceed_v in_o the_o whole_a the_o sum_n of_o 118506_o l._n 5_o s._n 10_o d._n as_o follow_v viz._n that_o a_o great_a sum_n for_o and_o during_o the_o life_n of_o such_o person_n so_o advance_v or_o pay_v the_o same_o or_o during_o any_o other_o life_n to_o be_v nominate_v by_o the_o person_n advance_v or_o pay_v any_o such_o sum_n as_o aforesaid_a nominate_v within_o what_o time_n to_o be_v nominate_v the_o same_o to_o be_v nominate_v within_o six_o day_n after_o payment_n of_o such_o sum_n which_o yearly_a annuity_n rent_n or_o payment_n shall_v commence_v from_o the_o 24_o of_o june_n next_o ensue_v and_o shall_v be_v pay_v and_o payable_a at_o the_o four_o most_o usual_a feast_n of_o the_o year_n viz._n the_o annunciation_n of_o the_o bless_a virgin_n mary_n the_o nativity_n of_o st._n john_n baptist_n the_o feast_n of_o st._n michael_n the_o archangel_n and_o the_o feast_n of_o the_o birth_n of_o our_o lord_n christ_n and_o every_o person_n on_o payment_n of_o such_o sum_n or_o sum_n as_o aforesaid_a revoke_v tally_n to_o be_v give_v on_o receipt_n of_o the_o money_n and_o order_n thereon_o which_o may_v be_v transfer_v or_o assign_v and_o not_o to_o be_v revoke_v shall_v immediate_o have_v one_o or_o more_o tally_n or_o tally_n import_v the_o receipt_n of_o the_o consideration_n money_n and_o order_n for_o the_o payment_n of_o the_o say_a annuity_n bear_v the_o same_o date_n with_o the_o tally_n the_o say_a tally_n to_o be_v levy_v and_o the_o say_a order_n to_o be_v sign_v in_o the_o same_o manner_n as_o in_o the_o say_a act_n be_v mention_v touch_v tally_n and_o order_n to_o be_v give_v to_o the_o contributor_n for_o
annuity_n upon_o the_o say_a act_n and_o the_o say_a order_n not_o to_o be_v determinable_a revocable_a or_o countermandable_a as_o touch_v the_o aforementioned_a order_n in_o the_o say_a act_n be_v enact_v which_o say_v order_n shall_v be_v assignable_a and_o transferrable_a in_o such_o and_o the_o same_o manmer_n as_o be_v mention_v in_o the_o say_a act_n touch_v order_n give_v to_o the_o contributor_n in_o the_o say_a act_n mention_v and_o all_o the_o rate_n and_o duty_n by_o the_o say_a act_n grant_v over_o and_o beside_o so_o much_o as_o shall_v bear_v proportion_n at_o the_o rate_n in_o the_o say_a act_n mention_v to_o the_o whole_a sum_n of_o 881493_o l._n 14_o s._n 2_o d._n already_o advance_v by_o the_o contributor_n upon_o the_o say_a act_n be_v and_o shall_v be_v appropriate_v and_o apply_v and_o be_v hereby_o appropriate_v to_o and_o for_o the_o payment_n of_o the_o say_a annuity_n yearly_a rent_n or_o sum_n after_o the_o rate_n of_o 14_o l._n per_fw-la cent._n per_fw-la annum_fw-la for_o every_o 100_o l._n to_o be_v advance_v as_o aforesaid_a according_a to_o the_o true_a intent_n and_o meaning_n of_o this_o act_n and_o shall_v not_o be_v divert_v or_o divertible_a to_o any_o other_o use_n intent_n or_o purpose_n whatsoever_o under_o the_o like_a penalty_n forfeiture_n and_o disability_n keep_v penalty_n for_o misapply_v the_o money_n give_v by_o this_o act._n book_n and_o register_n to_o be_v keep_v in_o respect_n to_o all_o and_o every_o the_o officer_n in_o the_o say_a act_n mention_v as_o be_v in_o the_o say_a act_n appoint_v in_o whatsoever_o and_o in_o case_n there_o shall_v be_v any_o surplus_n or_o remainder_n of_o the_o money_n arise_v by_o the_o say_a rate_n and_o duty_n of_o excise_n at_o the_o end_n of_o any_o year_n during_o the_o term_n of_o ninety_o and_o nine_o year_n grant_v therein_o by_o the_o say_v former_a act_n after_o make_v all_o the_o payment_n which_o by_o this_o or_o the_o say_v former_a act_n be_v appoint_v to_o be_v pay_v within_o the_o same_o year_n or_o reserve_v money_n for_o the_o same_o such_o surplus_n or_o remainder_n shall_v be_v to_o the_o use_n of_o their_o majesty_n their_o heir_n and_o successor_n iii_o produce_v upon_o demand_v of_o their_o share_n a_o certificate_n of_o the_o life_n of_o the_o nominee_n shall_v be_v produce_v every_o contributor_n upon_o this_o or_o the_o former_a act_n his_o or_o her_o executor_n administrator_n or_o assign_v upon_o their_o demand_v any_o half-year_o or_o quarterly_a payment_n of_o their_o respective_a share_n of_o either_o of_o the_o respective_a county_n ride_v city_n town_n or_o place_n wherein_o such_o person_n at_o the_o time_n of_o the_o make_v the_o say_a oath_n shall_v reside_v and_o the_o say_a justice_n or_o justice_n shall_v make_v a_o certificate_n thereof_o without_o fee_n the_o which_o shall_v be_v file_v in_o the_o say_a office_n or_o receipt_n of_o exchequer_n and_o if_o any_o person_n shall_v be_v guilty_a of_o a_o false_a oath_n certificate_n penalty_n of_o forge_v a_o certificate_n or_o forge_v any_o certificate_n touch_v the_o premise_n and_o be_v thereof_o lawful_o convict_v he_o shall_v incur_v the_o pain_n and_o penalty_n to_o be_v inflict_v upon_o person_n who_o commit_v wilful_a perjury_n or_o forgery_n and_o in_o case_n any_o nominee_n shall_v at_o the_o time_n of_o such_o demand_n be_v resident_a in_o scotland_n or_o beyond_o the_o sea_n and_o any_o one_o or_o more_o of_o the_o baron_n of_o the_o exchequer_n for_o the_o time_n be_v shall_v certify_v that_o upon_o proof_n to_o he_o or_o they_o make_v which_o proof_n be_v to_o be_v take_v in_o a_o summary_n way_n it_o do_v seem_v probable_a to_o he_o or_o they_o that_o the_o say_v nominee_n be_v live_v the_o say_a certificate_n be_v file_v as_o aforesaid_a shall_v be_v a_o sufficient_a warrant_n for_o make_v the_o say_v quarterly_a payment_n to_o the_o respective_a contributor_n their_o executor_n administrator_n or_o assign_v and_o if_o any_o person_n shall_v receive_v one_o or_o more_o quarterly_a payment_n upon_o his_o she_o or_o their_o annuity_n or_o annuity_n for_o any_o time_n beyond_o the_o death_n of_o he_o she_o or_o their_o nominee_n when_o the_o same_o aught_o to_o cease_v such_o person_n shall_v forfeit_v treble_a the_o value_n of_o the_o money_n so_o receive_v iu._n and_o whereas_o several_a person_n who_o do_v contribute_v or_o pay_v several_a of_o the_o sum_n of_o money_n which_o have_v be_v contribute_v upon_o the_o say_v recite_v act_n for_o share_n dividend_n annuity_n or_o other_o benefit_n in_o the_o say_a act_n mention_v as_o well_o upon_o the_o benefit_n of_o survivorship_n as_o upon_o the_o yearly_a annuity_n of_o 14_o l._n per_fw-la cent._n do_v not_o name_n to_o the_o auditor_n of_o the_o receipt_n or_o clerk_n of_o the_o bell_n in_o the_o receipt_n of_o the_o exchequer_n within_o the_o respective_a time_n by_o the_o say_a act_n appoint_v the_o respective_a life_n during_o which_o such_o dividend_n share_n annuity_n or_o other_o benefit_n respective_o be_v to_o continue_v it_o be_v hereby_o enact_v name_v benefit_n of_o survivorship_n within_o what_o time_n the_o life_n to_o be_v name_v that_o if_o such_o person_n shall_v at_o any_o time_n before_o the_o first_o of_o march_n next_o nominate_v to_o the_o auditor_n of_o the_o receipt_n of_o clerk_n of_o the_o bell_n in_o the_o exchequer_n the_o respective_a life_n their_o own_o or_o other_o during_o which_o such_o dividend_n share_n annuity_n or_o other_o benefit_n shall_v continue_v respective_o that_o then_o he_o her_z or_o their_o nominees_n shall_v be_v enter_v in_o the_o book_n keep_v in_o the_o receipt_n for_o the_o nominees_n and_o every_o such_o contributor_n his_o or_o her_o executor_n administrator_n and_o assign_v shall_v have_v receive_v and_o enjoy_v such_o and_o the_o like_a dividend_n share_n and_o annuity_n and_o other_o benefit_n in_o respect_n of_o the_o money_n so_o contribute_v as_o he_o or_o she_o may_v have_v have_v receive_v and_o enjoy_v if_o the_o respective_a life_n for_o the_o same_o have_v be_v name_v within_o the_o respective_a time_n by_o the_o say_a act_n prescribe_v v._o etc._n the_o surplus_n to_o their_o majesty_n not_o to_o be_v charge_v with_o any_o gift_n etc._n etc._n provide_v that_o the_o surplus_n or_o remainder_n of_o the_o money_n arise_v by_o the_o say_a rate_n and_o duty_n appoint_v by_o the_o say_a act_n be_v to_o the_o use_n of_o their_o majesty_n their_o
repay_v the_o value_n receive_v for_o the_o same_o xxxvi_o office_n take_v other_o fee_n than_o by_o this_o act_n forfeiture_n of_o office_n if_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o exchequer_n shall_v take_v any_o other_o fee_n or_o reward_n than_o by_o this_o act_n appoint_v for_o execute_v their_o respective_a trust_n and_o office_n they_o shall_v forfeit_v their_o office_n and_o pay_v treble_a damage_n with_o cost_v of_o suit_n to_o any_o adventurer_n that_o will_v sue_v for_o the_o same_o without_o essoign_n protection_n or_o privilege_n of_o parliament_n etc._n etc._n xxxvii_o it_o officer_z not_o appoint_v hereunto_o by_o the_o commissioner_n or_o the_o treasurer_n of_o the_o exchequer_n security_n officer_n to_o give_v security_n who_o shall_v take_v security_n of_o the_o officer_n for_o the_o due_a pay_v and_o account_v the_o money_n they_o shall_v receive_v and_o for_o the_o faithful_a performance_n of_o their_o office_n and_o the_o money_n which_o shall_v be_v bring_v into_o the_o receipt_n of_o the_o exchequer_n shall_v by_o the_o commissioner_n of_o the_o treasury_n or_o the_o under-treasurer_n of_o the_o exchequer_n without_o any_o far_a or_o other_o warrant_n and_o such_o proportion_n from_o time_n to_o time_n inspect_v monies_n how_o to_o be_v issue_v officer_n to_o be_v liable_a to_o account_v and_o be_v inspect_v as_o shall_v be_v necessary_a and_o sufficient_a to_o answer_v the_o respective_a payment_n which_o shall_v grow_v due_a be_v issue_v or_o pay_v over_o from_o time_n to_o time_n to_o the_o officer_n by_o way_n of_o impress_v and_o upon_o account_n to_o and_o for_o the_o payment_n of_o the_o say_a annuity_n by_o this_o act_n appoint_v and_o such_o particular_a officer_n shall_v be_v liable_a and_o subject_a to_o such_o inspection_n examination_n comptrol_n and_o audit_n and_o to_o such_o rule_n as_o the_o commissioner_n of_o the_o treasury_n or_o the_o treasurer_n and_o under-treasurer_n of_o the_o exchequer_n shall_v think_v fit_a xli_o direction_n all_o officer_n to_o observe_v the_o commissioner_n direction_n the_o manager_n director_n commissioner_n and_o officer_n of_o the_o transfer_v office_n receiver_n and_o the_o particular_a officer_n in_o the_o exchequer_n and_o all_o the_o clerk_n minister_n and_o servant_n shall_v for_o the_o better_a execution_n of_o their_o trust_n observe_v and_o perform_v such_o rule_n method_n and_o order_n as_o they_o shall_v from_o time_n to_o time_n receive_v from_o the_o commissioner_n of_o the_o treasury_n etc._n etc._n so_o as_o such_o rule_n method_n and_o order_n be_v conducible_a to_o the_o end_n and_o purpose_n in_o this_o act._n xlii_o act._n the_o king_n enable_v to_o borrow_v money_n upon_o this_o act._n if_o the_o whole_a sum_n of_o 1000000_o l._n be_v not_o pay_v into_o the_o exchequer_n upon_o this_o act_n before_o the_o 24_o of_o june_n 1694._o then_o it_o shall_v be_v lawful_a for_o their_o majesty_n by_o way_n of_o loan_n to_o borrow_v so_o much_o as_o to_o make_v it_o up_o to_o be_v pay_v with_o interest_n at_o 8_o l._n per_fw-la cent._n out_o of_o the_o money_n after_o to_o be_v bring_v in_o by_o this_o act_n and_o if_o the_o money_n shall_v not_o february_n 1694._o then_o to_o be_v pay_v out_o of_o the_o treasury_n if_o the_o 1000000_o l._n shall_v not_o be_v advance_v than_o the_o overplus_n of_o the_o fond_a shall_v be_v dispose_v as_o hereafter_o shall_v be_v direct_v by_o act_n of_o parliament_n xliii_o account_n when_o the_o receiver_n of_o the_o salt_n money_n be_v to_o deliver_v in_o their_o account_n the_o receiver_n of_o the_o salt_n duty_n shall_v between_o the_o 25_o of_o march_n 1695._o and_o the_o 29_o of_o september_n follow_v and_o so_o yearly_a during_o the_o continuance_n of_o this_o act_n deliver_v in_o say_a auditor_n to_o be_v declare_v before_o the_o lord_n treasurer_n or_o lord_n commissioner_n of_o the_o treasury_n and_o chancellor_n of_o the_o exchequer_n xliv_o etc._n no_o member_n of_o the_o house_n of_o commons_o to_o be_v concern_v in_o the_o farm_a or_o manage_v those_o duty_n except_o etc._n etc._n no_o member_n of_o the_o house_n of_o commons_o shall_v direct_o or_o indirect_o be_v concern_v in_o the_o farm_a collect_v or_o manage_v any_o duty_n grant_v by_o this_o act_n or_o that_o shall_v be_v grant_v by_o any_o other_o act_n except_o the_o commissioner_n of_o the_o treasury_n such_o penalty_n and_o forfeiture_n as_o in_o the_o act_v make_v in_o the_o 12_o year_n of_o king_n charles_n ii_o and_o the_o 15_o of_o the_o same_o king_n be_v mention_v or_o by_o another_o law_n in_o force_n relate_v to_o the_o say_a revenue_n of_o excise_n and_o the_o clause_n in_o the_o say_a act_n to_o be_v of_o force_n for_o and_o concern_v the_o duty_n hereby_o grant_v as_o if_o particular_o recite_v in_o the_o body_n of_o this_o act._n ix_o the_o commissioner_n of_o the_o excise_n apart_o money_n arise_v by_o these_o duty_n to_o be_v keep_v apart_o and_o the_o commissioner_n and_o other_o officer_n of_o the_o custom_n at_o the_o head-office_n in_o london_n shall_v separate_v and_o keep_v apart_o all_o the_o money_n arise_v by_o these_o duty_n as_o the_o same_o shall_v from_o time_n to_o time_n arise_v or_o be_v pay_v into_o the_o say_a office_n of_o excise_n or_o unto_o the_o receiver-general_n of_o the_o custom_n and_o the_o comptroller_n of_o the_o excise_n and_o of_o the_o custom_n or_o their_o respective_a deputy_n shall_v keep_v a_o distinct_a account_n in_o book_n fair_o write_v of_o all_o those_o rate_n and_o duty_n to_o which_o all_o person_n shall_v have_v free_a access_n at_o all_o reasonable_a time_n gratis_o pay-day_n holiday_n not_o pay-day_n and_o the_o commissioner_n of_o the_o excise_n and_o custom_n be_v to_o pay_v weekly_o upon_o every_o week_n if_o it_o be_v not_o a_o holiday_n and_o then_o the_o next_o day_n after_o that_o be_v not_o a_o holiday_n pay_v monies_n how_o to_o be_v pay_v these_o money_n into_o the_o receipt_n of_o the_o all_o the_o say_v weekly_a money_n shall_v be_v enter_v apart_o forfeiture_n commissioner_n neglect_v or_o misapply_v their_o forfeiture_n and_o if_o the_o commissioner_n shall_v refuse_v or_o neglect_v to_o pay_v into_o the_o exchequer_n all_o or_o any_o of_o the_o say_v weekly_a sum_n in_o such_o manner_n as_o hereby_o require_v or_o shall_v divert_v or_o misapply_v any_o part_n of_o the_o same_o or_o if_o such_o comptroller_n shall_v neglect_v his_o duty_n in_o keep_v such_o account_n than_o he_o or_o they_o shall_v forfeit_v their_o respective_a place_n and_o be_v incapable_a of_o any_o place_n of_o trust_n or_o office_n whatsoever_o and_o such_o commissioner_n shall_v be_v liable_a to_o pay_v the_o full_a value_n of_o any_o sum_n divert_v or_o misapply_v to_o any_o any_o one_o year_n to_o be_v reckon_v as_o aforesaid_a or_o if_o they_o shall_v not_o amount_v in_o their_o weekly_a payment_n to_o so_o much_o as_o 140000_o l._n within_o such_o time_n than_o the_o deficiency_n shall_v be_v make_v good_a out_o of_o any_o treasure_n or_o revenue_n belong_v to_o their_o majesty_n their_o heir_n or_o successor_n not_o be_v appropriate_v to_o any_o particular_a which_o five_a seven_o part_n of_o the_o say_v several_a payment_n arise_v by_o the_o duty_n of_o this_o act_n and_o so_o set_v apart_o be_v appropriate_v towards_o the_o payment_n of_o the_o say_v yearly_a sum_n of_o 100000_o l._n and_o shall_v from_o time_n to_o time_n be_v issue_v and_o pay_v to_o the_o use_n of_o the_o subscriber_n and_o contributor_n towards_o the_o raise_n and_o pay_v
