transportation_n or_o to_o the_o person_n depute_v by_o they_o a_o note_n in_o write_v under_o his_o or_o her_o hand_n or_o under_o the_o hand_n of_o some_o person_n by_o he_o or_o she_o authorize_v in_o what_o manner_n he_o or_o she_o will_v travel_v and_o trade_n whether_o on_o foot_n or_o with_o one_o or_o more_o horse_n ass_n etc._n etc._n for_o which_o the_o party_n shall_v pay_v to_o the_o without_o or_o contrary_a to_o such_o licence_n such_o person_n shall_v for_o every_o such_o offence_n forfeit_v 12_o l._n one_o moiety_n to_o the_o informer_n the_o other_o to_o the_o poor_a of_o or_o herself_o alone_o or_o with_o one_o or_o more_o horse_n ass_n etc._n etc._n as_o the_o case_n shall_v require_v for_o which_o licence_n they_o shall_v take_v 1_o s._n unless_o such_o hawker_n etc._n etc._n travel_n with_o horse_n ass_n etc._n etc._n and_o then_o 2_o s._n and_o no_o more_o the_o say_v commissioner_n shall_v keep_v a_o distinct_a account_n of_o the_o duty_n arise_v by_o this_o act_n and_o pay_v the_o same_o into_o the_o exchequer_n weekly_n on_o the_o wednesday_n unless_o a_o holiday_n under_o the_o penalty_n which_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o exchequer_n herein_o the_o say_a commissioner_n and_o for_o register_n each_o person_n title_n a_o fee_n of_o 1_o s._n shall_v be_v pay_v to_o the_o clerk_n and_o no_o more_o and_o no_o person_n shall_v receive_v any_o money_n to_o be_v raise_v by_o this_o or_o the_o foresay_a act_n till_o he_o have_v deliver_v in_o to_o the_o say_a commissioner_n a_o account_n of_o his_o share_n and_o interest_n which_o register_n shall_v at_o all_o time_n be_v view_v without_o fee_n ccxxiu_o in_o case_n it_o happen_v that_o the_o duty_n grant_v upon_o coffee_n tea_n chocolate_a and_o spice_n by_o the_o foresay_a act_n with_o the_o duty_n to_o be_v raise_v by_o this_o act_n shall_v amount_v to_o more_o
say_v commissioner_n shall_v keep_v a_o distinct_a account_n of_o the_o duty_n grant_v by_o this_o act_n and_o pay_v the_o money_n arise_v thereby_o into_o the_o exchequer_n on_o wednesday_n in_o every_o week_n unless_o a_o holiday_n and_o then_o the_o day_n after_o and_o upon_o neglect_n or_o refusal_n shall_v incur_v the_o penalty_n etc._n etc._n as_o other_o the_o officer_n of_o the_o 1698._o the_o money_n come_v into_o the_o exchequer_n for_o the_o duty_n of_o excise_n grant_v by_o a_o act_n of_o 5_o and_o 6_o w.m._n entitle_v a_o act_n for_o grant_v to_o their_o majesty_n such_o other_o forfeiture_n as_o he_o shall_v any_o way_n incur_v by_o virtue_n of_o this_o act_n and_o if_o any_o person_n after_o the_o time_n aforesaid_a shall_v know_o employ_v any_o person_n to_o deal_v for_o he_o as_o a_o broker_n or_o stock-job_a not_o be_v admit_v and_o swear_v as_o aforesaid_a such_o person_n shall_v forfeit_v the_o sum_n of_o 50_o l._n and_o if_o any_o person_n after_o the_o time_n aforesaid_a not_o be_v a_o swear_a broker_n according_a to_o this_o act_n shall_v act_v and_o deal_v as_o a_o broker_n in_o discount_v tally_n or_o bill_n or_o in_o stock-jobbing_a in_o sell_v bank-stock_n or_o any_o other_o security_n upon_o any_o fund_z grant_v by_o parliament_n such_o person_n shall_v forfeit_v 500_o l._n and_o stand_v in_o the_o pillory_n in_o some_o public_a
