deceive_a by_o false_a motion_n and_o false_a speech_n both_o interior_a and_o exterior_a and_o by_o appear_v with_o false_a light_n to_o the_o understanding_n of_o such_o as_o be_v proud_a and_o addict_v to_o their_o own_o opinion_n with_o conceit_n that_o it_o be_v the_o will_n of_o god_n and_o so_o also_o do_v he_o suffer_v the_o devil_n to_o exercise_v by_o diverse_a way_n such_o as_o serve_v he_o in_o humility_n and_o therefore_o in_o these_o time_n when_o it_o seem_v that_o satan_n be_v break_v loose_a as_o s._n john_n say_v it_o be_v necessary_a for_o they_o that_o serve_v god_n to_o use_v double_a diligence_n that_o they_o may_v not_o easy_o believe_v such_o thing_n as_o those_o and_o to_o procure_v profound_a humility_n and_o holy_a fear_n that_o god_n may_v not_o permit_v they_o to_o be_v deceive_v they_o must_v also_o endeavour_v with_o speed_n to_o give_v account_n of_o what_o they_o find_v and_o feel_v in_o themselves_o unto_o their_o prelate_n and_o superior_n be_v in_o the_o language_n of_o the_o devil_n who_o be_v the_o most_o wicked_a thing_n of_o all_o thing_n that_o be_v wicked_a and_o if_o he_o shall_v puff_n we_o up_o by_o occasion_n of_o the_o our_o punishment_n o_o mercy_n o_o a_o excellent_a admiration_n of_o god_n mercy_n thou_o abyssus_n and_o even_o bottomless_a pit_n of_o mercy_n and_o what_o can_v move_v thou_o to_o cry_v out_o to_o these_o they_o do_v man_n more_o harm_n than_o the_o fault_n themselves_o which_o they_o commit_v and_o that_o which_o they_o may_v prevent_v and_o cut_v off_o if_o they_o have_v discretion_n and_o courage_n they_o make_v to_o increase_v and_o so_o they_o fall_v out_o of_o one_o evil_a into_o another_o such_o as_o they_o aught_o to_o procure_v and_o labour_n to_o serve_v god_n withal_o diligence_n &_o if_o they_o see_v they_o fall_v let_v counsel_n let_v this_o be_v indeed_o good_a counsel_n they_o weep_v but_o not_o distrust_v and_o know_v that_o they_o be_v weak_a than_o they_o think_v let_v they_o humble_v themselves_o more_o and_o demand_v more_o grace_n and_o live_v with_o great_a caution_n take_v help_n of_o the_o time_n past_a for_o the_o time_n to_o come_v there_o whereas_o in_o very_a deed_n for_o the_o avoid_n of_o despair_n we_o must_v avoid_v to_o be_v lukewarm_a and_o negligent_a in_o the_o service_n of_o god_n for_o life_n for_o no_o man_n can_v have_v a_o good_a hope_n who_o endeavour_n not_o to_o lead_v a_o good_a life_n otherwise_o as_o long_o as_o a_o man_n have_v these_o root_n within_o he_o he_o can_v though_o he_o will_v never_o so_o feign_v have_v that_o vigour_n and_o strength_n of_o mind_n which_o well_o which_o note_v this_o point_n well_o grow_v from_o a_o good_a and_o diligent_a life_n and_o if_o such_o person_n will_v consider_v that_o they_o endure_v more_o martyr_n more_o the_o devil_n martyr_n trouble_n by_o these_o sad_a and_o despair_a thought_n which_o grow_v from_o melancholy_a then_o they_o shall_v in_o cut_v up_o by_o the_o root_n those_o cuill_a affection_n and_o dangerous_a occasion_n which_o hinder_v they_o from_o serve_v god_n with_o fervour_n they_o will_v especial_o since_o they_o love_v to_o fly_v from_o pain_n make_v choice_n of_o those_o trouble_n which_o be_v annex_v to_o the_o perfection_n of_o virtue_n to_o fly_v those_o other_o which_o follow_v upon_o the_o want_n thereof_o s._n paul_n
