may_v be_v as_o salt_n which_o season_v meat_n that_o be_v to_o say_v to_o the_o end_n it_o may_v make_v those_o action_n delightful_a and_o that_o the_o creature_n may_v not_o be_v draw_v unto_o they_o with_o distaste_n and_o touch_v that_o which_o concern_v the_o allurement_n and_o enticement_n of_o honest_a pleasure_n we_o must_v still_o remember_v the_o wise_a counsel_n of_o aristotle_n who_o persuade_v we_o not_o to_o observe_v they_o at_o their_o first_o approach_n but_o at_o their_o part_n for_o that_o although_o the_o entry_n be_v sweet_a and_o pleasant_a the_o end_n be_v always_o bitter_a and_o tragical_a they_o say_v that_o among_o the_o pagan_n there_o be_v a_o temple_n of_o diana_n who_o image_n do_v show_v a_o sad_a and_o severe_a countenance_n to_o those_o that_o enter_v to_o worship_v it_o but_o at_o their_o departure_n it_o seem_v more_o pleasant_a and_o smile_a but_o it_o be_v contrary_a in_o pleasure_n for_o at_o their_o first_o approach_n they_o present_v sovereign_a good_a and_o from_o the_o love_n of_o spiritual_a delight_n without_o the_o which_o our_o soul_n can_v find_v no_o solid_a nor_o sovereign_a content_n of_o grief_n and_o heaviness_n chap._n 1._o as_o among_o all_o creature_n there_o be_v not_o any_o one_o expose_v unto_o so_o many_o outrage_n of_o fortune_n as_o man_n who_o we_o may_v right_o term_v a_o image_n of_o misery_n and_o weakness_n so_o it_o be_v most_o certain_a that_o there_o be_v not_o any_o passion_n wherewith_o he_o be_v more_o afflict_a in_o this_o life_n then_o with_o grief_n and_o sorrow_n who_o object_n present_v themselves_o continual_o to_o his_o sense_n and_o mind_n wherefore_o although_o that_o by_o the_o light_n which_o we_o find_v in_o contrary_a thing_n when_o they_o be_v oppose_v and_o
