will_n of_o god_n record_v in_o his_o write_a word_n what_o union_n can_v be_v expect_v if_o instead_o of_o cleave_v to_o that_o as_o our_o rule_n of_o worship_n we_o shall_v adhere_v to_o the_o light_n of_o nature_n which_o can_v saving_o reveal_v christ_n 15._o mat._n 11.27_o 1_o cor._n 2.11_o to_o 15._o how_o shall_v it_o then_o reveal_v unto_o we_o the_o manner_n of_o christian_a worship_n which_o be_v now_o discover_v by_o gospel-institution_n through_o which_o alone_o our_o moral_a duty_n be_v exert_v moreover_o as_o gospel-institution_n do_v not_o destroy_v nor_o repugn_v purify_v themselves_o with_o eat_v of_o swine_n flesh_n 66.17_o isa_n 66.17_o and_o the_o abomination_n etc._n etc._n and_o as_o the_o moral_a law_n of_o moses_n nor_o the_o law_n write_v in_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n by_o nature_n do_v not_o discover_v the_o way_n and_o manner_n of_o gospel-worship_n so_o no_o essential_a part_n of_o such_o worship_n be_v mere_o moral_a without_o institution_n for_o if_o it_o be_v and_o on_o this_o bottom_n to_o be_v exercise_v in_o the_o gospel-church_n then_o moral_a person_n as_o such_o be_v only_o in_o a_o moral_a spirit_n and_o destitute_a of_o the_o save_a grace_n of_o christ_n and_o gospel-instituted-qualifications_a for_o church-fellowship_n must_v be_v admit_v into_o the_o community_n of_o the_o church_n and_o to_o the_o vocal_a exercise_n of_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n therein_o for_o such_o worship_n and_o such_o person_n must_v natural_o go_v together_o and_o can_v be_v divide_v so_o that_o if_o this_o moral_a principle_n be_v follow_v in_o its_o natural_a tendency_n and_o consequence_n it_o will_v lay_v church-communion_n common_a to_o believer_n and_o such_o visible_a unbeliever_n and_o endanger_v the_o overthrow_n and_o utter_a destruction_n of_o the_o gospel-church_n and_o the_o pure_a spiritual_a worship_n of_o god_n therein_o and_o lay_v a_o foundation_n for_o a_o moral_a church-state_n for_o mere_a natural_a person_n in_o a_o mere_a moral_n and_o natural_a spirit_n to_o exercise_v moral_a and_o natural_a worship_n unto_o god_n sect_n v._o that_o woman_n shall_v not_o vocal_o sing_v in_o the_o worship_n of_o god_n in_o his_o church_n 22._o par._n 1._o pag._n 21_o 22._o be_v already_o show_v in_o the_o former_a part_n of_o this_o treatise_n but_o because_o i_o find_v that_o the_o truth_n meet_v with_o be_v the_o mouth_n of_o the_o church_n as_o in_o prayer_n and_o doctrine_n to_o speak_v to_o god_n for_o they_o or_o from_o god_n unto_o they_o and_o that_o in_o sing_v they_o do_v neither_o of_o these_o nor_o teach_v nor_o learn_v and_o therefore_o woman_n vocal_a sing_v in_o the_o church_n be_v not_o forbid_v answer_v 1_o this_o objection_n and_o exposition_n of_o these_o two_o text_n in_o favour_n of_o woman_n sing_v can_v possible_o be_v the_o mind_n of_o christ_n in_o they_o because_o it_o be_v contrary_a to_o the_o letter_n of_o those_o text_n for_o the_o apostle_n say_v indefinite_o that_o woman_n must_v not_o speak_v nor_o teach_v in_o the_o church_n and_o therefore_o we_o can_v in_o reason_n make_v a_o exception_n for_o their_o speak_n or_o teach_v in_o sing_v any_o more_o than_o in_o prayer_n or_o other_o gift_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n 2._o for_o any_o to_o assert_v that_o the_o people_n vocal_a sing_v together_o be_v neither_o for_o learning_n teach_v it_o must_v not_o be_v vocal_o in_o the_o church_n and_o in_o the_o former_a part_n of_o this_o chapter_n it_o be_v main_o urge_v that_o the_o gift_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n shall_v be_v put_v forth_o to_o the_o edify_n of_o the_o church_n 17._o ver._n 14_o 15_o 16_o 17._o as_o ver_fw-la 12._o even_o so_o you_o forasmuch_o as_o you_o be_v zealous_a of_o spiritual_a gift_n seek_v that_o you_o may_v excel_v to_o the_o edify_n of_o the_o church_n one_a to_o pray_v and_o sing_v in_o a_o know_a tongue_n and_o 2_o to_o deliver_v the_o psalm_n the_o doctrine_n and_o other_o gift_n of_o when_o all_o do_v vocal_o sing_v for_o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o reconcile_v such_o contradiction_n of_o speech_n as_o woman_n speak_v teach_v and_o admonish_v one_o another_o in_o psalm_n and_o hymn_n and_o spiritual_a song_n vocal_o altogether_o to_o their_o not_o speak_v nor_o teach_v but_o keep_v silence_n and_o learning_n in_o silence_n in_o the_o church_n neither_o be_v there_o any_o reason_n to_o make_v the_o whole_a church_n a_o mouth_n which_o be_v compare_v to_o a_o body_n have_v many_o member_n as_o some_o will_v have_v it_o from_o rom._n 15.6_o that_o you_o may_v with_o one_o mind_n and_o one_o mouth_n glorify_v god_n for_o this_o can_v be_v mean_v of_o every_o member_n or_o of_o the_o whole_a church_n of_o rome_n vocal_o together_o but_o of_o their_o be_v of_o one_o
