better_a nay_o sure_o for_o these_o be_v as_o wheat_n &_o chaff_n gold_n &_o dross_n and_o not_o to_o discern_v between_o they_o be_v not_o to_o discern_v between_o wheat_n and_o chaff_n gold_n and_o dross_n if_o then_o we_o will_v not_o be_v like_a unto_o the_o beast_n that_o perish_v our_o care_n must_v be_v that_o out_o of_o our_o knowledge_n in_o the_o scripture_n we_o may_v be_v able_a to_o discern_v thing_n that_o differ_v but_o do_v we_o thus_o employ_v our_o care_n nay_o thus_o far_o i_o have_v only_o say_v what_o we_o shall_v do_v but_o what_o we_o do_v our_o unablenesse_n to_o they_o because_o we_o can_v try_v the_o spirit_n whether_o they_o be_v of_o god_n to_o see_v which_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o truth_n and_o which_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o error_n for_o god_n think_v because_o we_o can_v discern_v thing_n that_o differ_v and_o yet_o tell_v a_o great_a many_o of_o we_o that_o we_o know_v not_o good_a from_o evil_n that_o we_o can_v discern_v between_o truth_n and_o error_n right_a and_o wrong_n etc._n etc._n we_o can_v brook_v it_o but_o we_o disdain_v to_o be_v count_v so_o simple_a and_o ignorant_a that_o we_o can_v discern_v thing_n so_o different_a but_o let_v i_o but_o ask_v these_o question_n how_o be_v it_o that_o so_o common_o we_o fly_v that_o which_o be_v good_a and_o follow_v that_o which_o be_v evil_a how_o be_v it_o that_o we_o that_o we_o have_v spend_v the_o time_n pass_v ignorant_o and_o foolish_o let_v we_o henceforth_o redeem_v the_o time_n and_o learn_v to_o discern_v thing_n that_o differ_v if_o we_o consider_v the_o time_n that_o we_o have_v spend_v in_o the_o school_n of_o christ_n we_o may_v well_o think_v that_o now_o we_o shall_v have_v so_o much_o knowledge_n as_o to_o discern_v thing_n that_o differ_v one_o from_o another_o and_o if_o truth_n and_o error_n good_a and_o evil_a etc._n etc._n be_v unto_o we_o as_o yet_o as_o colour_n unto_o blind_a man_n that_o we_o can_v discern_v between_o they_o we_o may_v well_o think_v that_o we_o be_v blind_a let_v we_o therefore_o go_v unto_o christ_n jesus_n in_o his_o word_n that_o we_o may_v receive_v sight_n and_o see_v clear_o let_v we_o read_v and_o hear_v and_o meditate_v in_o the_o holy_a word_n of_o god_n that_o thence_o we_o may_v know_v what_o be_v good_a and_o acceptable_a unto_o god_n let_v we_o pray_v and_o labour_n by_o all_o holy_a doctrine_n etc._n etc._n that_o they_o may_v be_v pure_a from_o all_o corruption_n in_o doctrine_n life_n and_o manner_n and_o for_o both_o these_o cause_n he_o pray_v that_o they_o may_v abound_v more_o and_o more_o in_o knowledge_n hence_o than_o i_o observe_v another_o employment_n behooveful_a for_o all_o christian_n namely_o that_o they_o may_v be_v pure_a &_o free_a from_o all_o corruption_n in_o doctrine_n life_n or_o manner_n for_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o that_o we_o be_v able_a to_o discern_v thing_n that_o differ_v one_o from_o another_o and_o to_o know_v what_o in_o doctrine_n be_v corrupt_a and_o uncorrupt_a what_o in_o life_n be_v good_a and_o evil_a and_o what_o in_o manner_n be_v holy_a and_o what_o profane_a but_o far_a also_o it_o be_v behooveful_a that_o we_o be_v pure_a from_o whatsoever_o be_v corrupt_a in_o doctrine_n from_o

a_o forlorn_a man_n a_o atheist_n a_o reprobate_a or_o be_o i_o not_o rather_o bend_v the_o knee_n of_o my_o soul_n unto_o the_o lord_n for_o his_o mercy_n towards_o i_o to_o hope_v that_o in_o his_o good_a time_n he_o will_v lighten_v his_o understanding_n that_o be_v shut_v up_o in_o ignorance_n or_o raise_v he_o up_o again_o that_o be_v fall_v and_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n to_o bear_v with_o not_o friend_n but_o enemy_n not_o the_o son_n of_o god_n but_o the_o child_n of_o wrath_n not_o citizen_n but_o alien_n from_o the_o commonwealth_n of_o israel_n and_o stranger_n from_o the_o covenant_n of_o promise_n but_o be_v renew_v by_o the_o spirit_n our_o hard_a heart_n be_v soften_v our_o froward_a will_n be_v reform_v our_o dark_a mind_n be_v enlighten_v our_o inordinate_a affection_n be_v order_v our_o wicked_a thought_n be_v better_v and_o our_o whole_a man_n so_o make_v partaker_n of_o the_o godly_a nature_n that_o we_o fly_v the_o corruption_n which_o be_v in_o the_o world_n through_o lust_n and_o study_v to_o live_v sober_o and_o righteous_o and_o godly_a in_o this_o present_a world_n so_o that_o henceforth_o we_o be_v able_a to_o fly_v that_o which_o be_v evil_a and_o to_o do_v that_o which_o be_v good_a which_o also_o those_o manifold_a exhortation_n in_o holy_a scripture_n imply_v when_o we_o be_v exhort_v to_o follow_v the_o truth_n in_o love_n to_o mortify_v our_o earthly_a member_n to_o procure_v thing_n honest_a before_o god_n and_o all_o man_n etc._n etc._n for_o albeit_o unto_o the_o wicked_a and_o unregenerate_a the_o lord_n have_v not_o open_v their_o eye_n or_o their_o care_n that_o they_o can_v see_v the_o thing_n that_o belong_v unto_o their_o peace_n or_o hearken_v unto_o instruction_n and_o receive_v understanding_n yet_o have_v he_o appoint_v thus_o to_o stir_v up_o his_o child_n and_o make_v they_o able_a to_o do_v the_o thing_n whereunto_o they_o be_v exhort_v we_o do_v not_o then_o as_o our_o adversary_n false_o charge_v we_o in_o the_o question_n of_o freewill_n make_v man_n stock_n and_o stone_n such_o as_o in_o the_o thing_n that_o be_v good_a do_v nothing_o at_o all_o you_o see_v we_o say_v that_o be_v regenerate_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n we_o be_v able_a to_o be_v abase_v and_o to_o abound_v etc._n etc._n to_o do_v the_o thing_n that_o belong_v unto_o our_o peace_n and_o such_o as_o accompany_v our_o salvation_n as_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n say_v unto_o the_o corinthian_n 4.3_o 2._o cor._n 4.3_o if_o our_o gospel_n be_v hide_v it_o be_v hide_v to_o they_o that_o be_v lose_v so_o i_o say_v if_o any_o man_n be_v not_o able_a to_o do_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v good_a it_o be_v the_o man_n unregenerate_a in_o who_o christ_n dwell_v not_o by_o the_o power_n of_o his_o spirit_n here_o then_o be_v the_o point_n not_o whether_o we_o be_v able_a to_o do_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v good_a for_o that_o we_o hold_v but_o whether_o we_o be_v able_a by_o our_o own_o power_n and_o strength_n at_o all_o to_o do_v the_o thing_n that_o be_v good_a by_o who_o it_o be_v that_o we_o be_v able_a to_o do_v these_o
