evince_v 1._o because_o god_n have_v make_v all_o thing_n under_o a_o law_n and_o rule_v all_o man_n by_o a_o law_n of_o reason_n must_v needs_o also_o be_v acknowledge_v as_o a_o judge_n over_o the_o observer_n and_o transgressor_n of_o his_o law_n and_o consequent_o have_v a_o time_n to_o exercise_v his_o judgement_n 2._o that_o the_o rational_a soul_n of_o man_n be_v immortal_a and_o live_v when_o they_o be_v separate_v from_o the_o body_n and_o consequent_o can_v undergo_v a_o judgement_n after_o this_o life_n 3._o that_o the_o conscience_n of_o man_n bear_v witness_n to_o they_o of_o their_o wicked_a deed_n even_o against_o their_o will_n though_o they_o live_v in_o outward_a prosperity_n put_v they_o in_o fear_n and_o bear_v witness_n also_o of_o the_o virtuous_a deed_n of_o good_a man_n though_o they_o be_v in_o outward_a adversity_n yet_o comfort_n and_o support_v they_o which_o inward_a testimony_n of_o the_o conscience_n of_o man_n be_v not_o vain_a notion_n but_o undeniable_a evidence_n of_o a_o judgement_n to_o come_v which_o the_o soul_n within_o itself_o be_v sensible_a of_o when_o these_o thing_n be_v thorough_o handle_v and_o all_o scruple_n which_o may_v be_v raise_v concern_v the_o same_o be_v take_v away_o so_o that_o a_o rational_a man_n who_o be_v without_o prejudice_n shall_v have_v no_o cause_n for_o want_v of_o the_o discovery_n of_o truth_n of_o this_o nature_n to_o make_v any_o further_a doubt_n

and_o 2_o pet._n 1._o 2_o 3._o and_o that_o which_o christ_n do_v communicate_v unto_o we_o of_o this_o life_n be_v make_v perceptible_a unto_o we_o by_o two_o property_n of_o life_n wrought_v in_o we_o the_o one_o be_v the_o light_n the_o other_o be_v the_o power_n of_o life_n by_o the_o light_n of_o life_n we_o be_v make_v wise_a unto_o salvation_n and_o by_o the_o power_n of_o life_n we_o be_v enable_v to_o work_v out_o our_o salvation_n that_o be_v to_o do_v all_o our_o work_n in_o god_n this_o then_o be_v the_o complete_a end_n of_o practical_a divinity_n to_o teach_v man_n the_o wisdom_n which_o be_v profitable_a unto_o the_o salvation_n of_o their_o soul_n and_o the_o direction_n of_o the_o whole_a conversation_n to_o god_n will_v that_o they_o may_v be_v enable_v whatever_o stupidity_n in_o we_o towards_o that_o which_o be_v true_a honour_n but_o it_o will_v clear_o evince_v the_o unsoundnesse_n of_o our_o heart_n in_o the_o profession_n itself_o when_o we_o shall_v appear_v so_o careless_a of_o maintain_v and_o propagate_a the_o truth_n thereof_o that_o even_o with_o the_o loss_n of_o our_o reputation_n and_o the_o loss_n of_o the_o love_n of_o those_o that_o have_v sue_v to_o we_o for_o this_o duty_n we_o shall_v suffer_v it_o to_o be_v blast_v and_o lie_v under_o contempt_n when_o it_o be_v in_o our_o power_n to_o vindicate_v both_o it_o and_o ourselves_o from_o reproach_n and_o thus_o much_o concern_v the_o point_n of_o reputation_n the_o next_o motive_n in_o this_o kind_n be_v the_o advancement_n of_o the_o reformation_n of_o the_o church_n both_o at_o home_n and_o abroad_o a_o thing_n which_o do_v main_o concern_v we_o a_o thing_n whereunto_o we_o be_v deep_o engage_v and_o a_o thing_n whereunto_o this_o work_n will_v be_v of_o jesus_n in_o the_o word_n which_o be_v the_o rule_n thereof_o and_o have_v take_v up_o either_o a_o superstitious_a and_o traditional_a formality_n or_o a_o singular_a and_o self-conceited_a against_o it_o and_o thus_o they_o fill_v the_o church_n with_o dispute_n and_o the_o head_n of_o ignorant_a people_n with_o profane_a and_o vain_a babble_n which_o daily_o increase_v unto_o more_o ungodliness_n for_o by_o this_o mean_n scandal_n be_v multiply_v the_o unity_n of_o the_o spirit_n dissolve_v the_o bond_n of_o peace_n neglect_v faction_n set_v on_o foot_n and_o continue_v with_o animosity_n wherein_o the_o weak_a sort_n as_o child_n be_v toss_v too_o and_o fro_o and_o carry_v about_o with_o every_o wind_n of_o doctrine_n till_o they_o lose_v their_o hold_n of_o all_o principle_n and_o then_o give_v themselves_o over_o to_o atheism_n this_o be_v the_o nature_n of_o our_o disease_n both_o at_o home_n and_o abroad_o therefore_o the_o remedy_n for_o both_o will_v be_v the_o same_o which_o can_v be_v none_o other_o but_o to_o this_o effect_n first_o that_o the_o faithful_a minister_n and_o professor_n of_o the_o gospel_n both_o there_o and_o here_o shall_v stand_v fast_o together_o in_o one_o spirit_n and_o one_o mind_n strive_v together_o in_o one_o way_n for_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o in_o nothing_o terrify_v by_o their_o adversary_n second_o
