order_n to_o god_n throughout_o all_o this_o our_o life_n after_o all_o our_o prayer_n and_o hear_v the_o word_n preach_v after_o all_o our_o act_n of_o public_a family_n and_o private_a worship_n and_o whatever_o we_o have_v do_v pertain_v to_o religion_n or_o what_o be_v common_o call_v good_a work_n yet_o it_o be_v possible_a and_o to_o be_v fear_v that_o we_o may_v perish_v and_o miscarry_v for_o all_o throughout_o eternity_n where_o the_o psalmist_n pray_v by_o the_o spirit_n remember_v all_o thy_o offering_n and_o accept_v thy_o burn_a sacrifice_n selah_n the_o lord_n fulfil_v all_o thy_o petition_n psalm_n 20._o 3_o 5._o thereby_o be_v show_v forth_o and_o make_v know_v unto_o we_o that_o if_o the_o lord_n shall_v not_o remember_v nor_o accept_v nor_o fulfil_v as_o we_o be_v to_o strive_v earnest_o with_o he_o in_o prayer_n on_o this_o behalf_n and_o so_o it_o be_v of_o whatever_o we_o have_v do_v as_o pertain_v to_o god_n and_o religion_n it_o will_v not_o stand_v in_o stead_n nor_o avail_v to_o the_o save_n of_o the_o soul_n what_o shall_v we_o do_v then_o the_o safe_a way_n and_o rule_n be_v that_o as_o christ_n our_o saviour_n say_v after_o you_o have_v do_v all_o thing_n that_o be_v command_v say_v that_o we_o be_v unprofitable_a servant_n we_o have_v do_v only_o what_o be_v our_o duty_n to_o do_v so_o in_o the_o name_n of_o god_n let_v we_o do_v all_o thing_n whatever_o we_o can_v instant_o continual_o and_o diligent_o remember_v all_o these_o three_o adverb_n for_o to_o find_v acceptance_n with_o our_o god_n and_o to_o get_v to_o heaven_n and_o to_o say_v after_o we_o have_v do_v all_o this_o we_o deserve_v to_o be_v reject_v by_o he_o and_o to_o be_v cast_v into_o hell_n my_o life_n for_o you_o i_o will_v venture_v my_o immortal_a soul_n upon_o this_o point_n it_o shall_v never_o go_v one_o jot_n the_o worse_a with_o we_o for_o thus_o speak_v for_o after_o that_o the_o disobedient_a and_o prodigal_a child_n have_v say_v father_n i_o have_v sin_v against_o heaven_n and_o be_o no_o more_o worthy_a to_o be_v call_v thy_o son_n ye●_n the_o father_n say_v unto_o his_o servant_n bring_v forth_o the_o best_a robe_n and_o put_v it_o on_o absurdity_n and_o contradiction_n in_o thing_n pertain_v to_o god_n though_o it_o may_v seem_v as_o a_o paradox_n and_o strange_a doctrine_n to_o the_o proud_a self-justifying_a and_o ignorant_a p●arisee_n to_o acknowledge_v and_o confess_v for_o so_o do_v the_o church_n in_o isa_n 64._o 6._o that_o our_o work_n be_v not_o meet_v for_o god_n acceptance_n and_o yet_o god_n will_v accept_v of_o they_o wash_v over_o with_o the_o blood_n and_o cover_v with_o the_o righteousness_n of_o his_o son_n it_o be_v a_o great_a matter_n and_o very_o desirable_a but_o withal_o it_o be_v somewhat_o difficult_a to_o hit_v upon_o because_o that_o so_o many_o miss_n thereof_o who_o seek_v to_o enter_v in_o and_o shall_v not_o be_v able_a luke_n 13._o 24._o for_o to_o please_v and_o find_v acceptance_n with_o almighty_a god_n for_o we_o be_v not_o to_o think_v now_o as_o we_o shall_v see_v and_o know_v at_o last_o that_o either_o the_o much_o speak_n of_o the_o heathen_a nor_o yet_o the_o superstition_n of_o the_o jew_n nor_o yet_o the_o m●mbling_n of_o the_o papist_n over_o his_o bead_n although_o all_o these_o do_v therein_o seek_v to_o please_v god_n will_v receive_v any_o thing_n from_o the_o lord_n as_o to_o future_a good_a and_o salvation_n god_n look_v and_o have_v more_o respect_n unto_o the_o quality_n than_o the_o quantity_n of_o our_o service_n how_o good_a they_o be_v and_o not_o so_o much_o to_o the_o length_n and_o number_n of_o word_n and_o so_o it_o be_v of_o all_o mere_a formal_a prayer_n lip-labour_n when_o the_o heart_n be_v far_o from_o god_n with_o all_o the_o
