or_o the_o mystery_n of_o our_o faith_n etc._n etc._n and_o as_o they_o do_v represent_v they_o unto_o we_o and_o imprint_v in_o our_o heart_n the_o knowledge_n of_o the_o aforesaid_a divine_a thing_n or_o mystery_n and_o beget_v in_o our_o mind_n pious_a thought_n these_o we_o call_v sacred_a not_o for_o the_o matter_n they_o be_v make_v of_o but_o for_o the_o sacred_a thing_n they_o do_v or_o may_v represent_v and_o as_o they_o do_v represent_v they_o unto_o we_o this_o we_o understand_v by_o sacred_a artificial_a picture_n sign_n and_o image_n and_o nothing_o else_o now_o how_o necessary_a these_o thing_n be_v to_o the_o beget_n in_o we_o pious_a thought_n appear_v first_o by_o what_o i_o have_v say_v in_o the_o former_a chapter_n for_o if_o we_o can_v learn_v nothing_o or_o understand_v or_o think_v of_o any_o thing_n but_o either_o by_o itself_o or_o else_o by_o some_o resemblance_n picture_n or_o sign_n it_o must_v pass_v by_o the_o sense_n and_o all_o the_o thing_n of_o heaven_n and_o mystery_n of_o our_o faith_n etc._n etc._n be_v invisible_a and_o insensible_a to_o the_o sense_n unless_o we_o use_v sacred_a artificial_a picture_n sign_n and_o image_n we_o can_v never_o come_v to_o know_v any_o thing_n of_o the_o heaven_n of_o glory_n or_o of_o the_o mystery_n of_o our_o faith_n etc._n etc._n as_o further_o appear_v by_o the_o heathen_a and_o pagan_a people_n who_o for_o want_v of_o the_o use_n of_o these_o thing_n and_o of_o a_o preacher_n to_o preach_v or_o teach_v they_o these_o thing_n by_o audible_a sacred_a artificial_a sign_n or_o visible_a
