of_o god_n as_o they_o shall_v and_o at_o the_o same_o time_n be_v speak_v of_o and_o listen_v unto_o the_o affair_n of_o this_o life_n even_o of_o our_o commodity_n profit_n and_o pleasure_n beside_o that_o the_o lord_n will_v have_v our_o mouth_n and_o ear_n otherwise_o occupy_v upon_o this_o day_n as_o well_o as_o our_o hand_n and_o foot_n as_o shall_v more_o full_o appear_v hereafter_o so_o heel_n upon_o that_o day_n so_o far_o be_v the_o unprofitable_a and_o endless_a tale_n concern_v the_o same_o from_o their_o mouth_n and_o care_n and_o a_o little_a less_o because_o when_o necessity_n drive_v they_o to_o leave_v the_o one_o because_o they_o be_v at_o their_o meat_n &_o such_o like_a yet_o they_o can_v give_v over_o the_o other_o but_o pursue_v it_o to_o the_o uttermost_a even_o to_o the_o disturbance_n of_o other_o and_o fill_v their_o head_n so_o full_a of_o vanity_n as_o their_o own_o be_v beside_o their_o own_o sin_n in_o abuse_v of_o the_o time_n and_o the_o dishonour_n of_o god_n name_n in_o break_v of_o the_o sabbath_n and_o now_o if_o unto_o all_o this_o which_o have_v be_v speak_v you_o will_v give_v i_o leave_v to_o add_v but_o one_o thing_n more_o you_o shall_v if_o their_o religion_n be_v good_a they_o can_v not_o ordinary_o look_v for_o such_o a_o blessing_n of_o god_n as_o upon_o the_o other_o beside_o there_o be_v other_o who_o just_o condemn_v the_o papist_n for_o this_o intrusion_n of_o day_n yet_o be_v persuade_v not_o only_o that_o the_o day_n which_o we_o now_o keep_v may_v be_v change_v by_o the_o church_n without_o any_o offence_n but_o sacrament_n in_o any_o other_o element_n than_o these_o he_o shall_v not_o find_v that_o blessing_n of_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n and_o newness_n of_o life_n which_o the_o lord_n do_v by_o it_o in_o our_o life_n and_o conversation_n as_o ourselves_o when_o we_o give_v ourselves_o to_o the_o profitable_a meditation_n of_o it_o without_o the_o which_o all_o that_o we_o read_v and_o hear_v be_v but_o in_o a_o general_a and_o confuse_a knowledge_n meditation_n how_o unprofitable_a man_n be_v to_o themselves_o and_o other_o for_o want_v of_o meditation_n we_o have_v little_a comfort_n or_o edification_n thereby_o especial_o see_v god_n blessing_n be_v upon_o his_o own_o ordinance_n and_o his_o curse_n be_v upon_o the_o neglect_n of_o the_o same_o this_o make_v great_a hearer_n and_o great_a reader_n to_o be_v unprofitable_a to_o themselves_o and_o other_o because_o for_o want_v of_o meditation_n they_o know_v not_o how_o to_o use_v their_o knowledge_n thereupon_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o many_o preacher_n can_v say_v no_o more_o than_o they_o find_v in_o their_o book_n and_o therefore_o they_o toss_v over_o so_o many_o commentary_n as_o they_o do_v that_o they_o may_v have_v matter_n enough_o and_o so_o can_v go_v no_o further_o because_o without_o meditation_n all_o read_n be_v vain_a whereas_o it_o will_v minister_v abundant_a matter_n unto_o their_o great_a admiration_n to_o the_o profit_n of_o the_o hearer_n and_o yet_o of_o the_o same_o matter_n can_v scarce_o speak_v to_o a_o private_a man_n upon_o the_o sudden_a tolerable_o to_o his_o ecdification_n and_o comfort_n because_o he_o have_v but_o speak_v it_o of_o the_o book_n as_o it_o be_v and_o not_o labour_v to_o make_v it_o his_o own_o by_o meditation_n and_o thereby_o to_o find_v out_o how_o he_o may_v apply_v it_o to_o his_o own_o use_n and_o the_o benefit_n of_o other_o and_o this_o thing_n be_v so_o much_o the_o more_o dangerous_a because_o it_o have_v infect_v also_o many_o of_o the_o best_a student_n in_o
his_o favour_n more_o assure_v of_o his_o promise_n and_o make_v more_o fit_a to_o serve_v he_o even_o as_o in_o the_o scripture_n creature_n the_o servant_n of_o god_n have_v great_o profit_v in_o faith_n &_o obedience_n by_o the_o consideration_n of_o his_o creature_n we_o may_v see_v many_o time_n how_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n send_v we_o to_o the_o creature_n to_o be_v confirm_v by_o
