superstition_n when_o they_o know_v not_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n word_n and_o pure_a religion_n and_o while_o they_o persuade_v the_o people_n that_o ignorance_n be_v the_o mother_n of_o devotion_n that_o the_o less_o they_o know_v the_o more_o devout_a they_o be_v this_o be_v rather_o a_o furtherance_n to_o their_o damnation_n because_o they_o know_v not_o god_n and_o the_o way_n to_o salvation_n for_o as_o the_o extreme_a want_n of_o bodily_a food_n procure_v death_n to_o the_o body_n so_o the_o extreme_a want_n of_o spiritual_a food_n that_o be_v of_o god_n word_n procure_v death_n to_o the_o soul_n it_o be_v meet_a say_v they_o that_o the_o scripture_n shall_v be_v set_v down_o in_o a_o unknown_a tongue_n lest_o some_o in_o read_v pervert_v they_o unto_o their_o own_o damnation_n which_o be_v not_o a_o sufficient_a reason_n to_o deny_v other_o the_o read_n thereof_o as_o if_o we_o shall_v never_o use_v wine_n because_o some_o by_o abuse_v it_o have_v fall_v into_o drunkenness_n or_o never_o take_v a_o weapon_n in_o hand_n to_o defend_v ourselves_o because_o many_o have_v be_v kill_v thereby_o but_o this_o reason_n of_o they_o be_v but_o a_o device_n of_o man_n presume_v of_o his_o favour_n and_o good_a will_n towards_o they_o as_o though_o they_o can_v use_v the_o same_o at_o their_o will_n and_o be_v his_o creature_n they_o shall_v lift_v up_o themselves_o as_o though_o they_o be_v equal_a to_o their_o creator_n but_o be_v their_o god_n and_o their_o creator_n thereby_o they_o shall_v understande_v that_o his_o most_o high_a supremacy_n be_v so_o great_a above_o they_o that_o by_o right_a and_o authority_n he_o may_v command_v they_o to_o plant_v in_o their_o heart_n such_o a_o dutiful_a care_n as_o be_v meet_v and_o convenient_a for_o nothing_o do_v soon_o abrogate_v and_o abolish_v the_o weighty_a consideration_n of_o law_n which_o be_v the_o bond_n of_o civility_n and_o society_n among_o man_n than_o contempt_n and_o again_o absalon_n although_o they_o know_v not_o how_o near_o they_o be_v to_o the_o fall_n to_o swim_v in_o wealth_n and_o riches_n to_o fare_v delicious_o every_o day_n and_o to_o go_v in_o purple_a &_o fine_a silk_n with_o the_o rich_a glutton_n speak_v of_o in_o the_o gospel_n to_o enjoy_v large_a dominion_n and_o great_a possession_n fair_a house_n and_o pleasant_a orchiard_n sweet_a garden_n with_o all_o thing_n that_o may_v satisfy_v the_o eye_n and_o fill_v the_o soul_n with_o pleasure_n like_v to_o king_n nabuchodonosor_n that_o bâ—sted_v of_o his_o beautiful_a palace_n yea_o they_o imagine_v such_o continuance_n that_o they_o call_v their_o house_n &_o land_n after_o their_o own_o name_n as_o though_o they_o shall_v endure_v for_o ever_o the_o viol_n &_o tabret_n sing_v and_o dance_v feast_v banquet_a riot_n and_o bravery_n this_o be_v the_o life_n &_o the_o joy_n of_o the_o world_n while_o the_o trouble_n of_o joseph_n be_v not_o remember_v and_o the_o poor_a altogether_o forget_v in_o their_o sight_n this_o be_v the_o sin_n of_o sodom_n pride_n idleness_n fullness_n of_o bread_n contempt_n of_o the_o poor_a and_o needy_a so_o that_o although_o the_o people_n of_o sodom_n be_v consume_v with_o fire_n and_o brimstone_n from_o heaven_n yet_o it_o seem_v that_o their_o posterity_n remain_v and_o will_v remain_v until_o the_o word_n end_n till_o fire_v come_v down_o from_o heaven_n the_o second_o time_n and_o make_v a_o woeful_a and_o final_a destruction_n the_o gesture_n also_o and_o disposition_n of_o the_o world_n be_v give_v up_o to_o foolish_a rejoice_v and_o if_o any_o be_v sober_a and_o sad_a they_o be_v not_o for_o their_o company_n childish_a and_o péevish_a giggle_a profane_a laughter_n dissolute_a mirth_n wanton_a strike_v out_o disorder_v lift_v up_o the_o voice_n and_o mirth_n with_o incontinency_n in_o every_o place_n all_o their_o life_n be_v spend_v in_o merriment_n and_o pastime_n as_o though_o god_n have_v not_o call_v every_o one_o to_o painfulness_n and_o labour_n in_o that_o course_n of_o life_n wherein_o he_o have_v place_v they_o in_o time_n of_o divine_a service_n when_o we_o shall_v
