endeavour_n to_o purge_v themselves_o as_o well_o from_o inward_a sin_n as_o from_o outward_a and_o to_o be_v whole_o transfigure_v and_o transform_v into_o a_o new_a holy_a and_o righteous_a life_n therefore_o it_o come_v to_o pass_v that_o the_o love_n of_o righteousness_n depart_v from_o they_o and_o they_o return_v again_o to_o their_o old_a by_o as_o and_o be_v become_v pray_v for_o jesuit_n and_o mass_v priest_n such_o be_v their_o profaneness_n and_o this_o be_v because_o they_o rest_v only_o in_o the_o universal_a promise_n of_o god_n which_o although_o they_o be_v all_o most_o true_a and_o comfortable_a yet_o they_o can_v minister_v no_o true_a comfort_n and_o consolation_n unto_o man_n soul_n except_o he_o make_v a_o particular_a application_n thereof_o unto_o himself_o last_o some_o there_o be_v who_o will_v fain_o seem_v to_o the_o appearance_n of_o the_o church_n to_o have_v forsake_v and_o sell_v their_o sin_n and_o to_o have_v make_v a_o full_a and_o perfect_a inward_o which_o be_v evident_a in_o this_o that_o they_o covet_v to_o approve_v themselves_o more_o before_o man_n than_o before_o god_n nourish_v in_o their_o heart_n secret_a self-love_n as_o in_o show_v themselves_o zealous_a until_o they_o come_v to_o preferment_n or_o to_o this_o end_n that_o many_o perceive_v their_o zeal_n may_v flock_v after_o they_o to_o hear_v they_o &_o so_o they_o may_v procure_v themselves_o fame_n who_o so_o soon_o as_o satan_n begin_v a_o little_a to_o buffet_v they_o they_o fall_v away_o and_o show_v that_o they_o have_v sell_v sin_n but_o for_o a_o season_n this_o be_v contrary_a unto_o that_o course_n which_o the_o true_a minister_n of_o god_n and_o those_o which_o fear_v he_o aright_o ought_v to_o take_v for_o it_o be_v their_o duty_n to_o seek_v the_o praise_n of_o god_n and_o not_o of_o themselves_o to_o covet_v the_o profit_n of_o the_o people_n of_o god_n and_o not_o their_o own_o private_a lucre_n know_v this_o that_o they_o salvation_n of_o soul_n and_o the_o acceptation_n of_o their_o labour_n before_o god_n and_o all_o man_n must_v desire_v rather_o to_o be_v religious_a than_o to_o seem_v so_o give_v themselves_o be_v to_o the_o exercise_n of_o private_a prayer_n read_v fast_a to_o private_a admonition_n conference_n and_o other_o private_a duty_n at_o such_o time_n and_o in_o such_o place_n when_o and_o where_o they_o need_v not_o to_o boast_v of_o any_o thing_n do_v see_v it_o be_v do_v in_o secret_a which_o who_o so_o do_v let_v he_o assure_v himself_o that_o there_o be_v nothing_o so_o secret_a but_o it_o shall_v be_v reveal_v whether_o it_o be_v good_a or_o evil_n if_o we_o do_v this_o then_o shall_v we_o not_o be_v in_o the_o number_n of_o those_o which_o beginning_n in_o the_o spirit_n end_n in_o the_o flesh_n or_o of_o those_o which_o serve_v god_n for_o a_o season_n and_o in_o the_o end_n fall_v away_o from_o he_o and_o his_o service_n doubtless_o it_o be_v a_o strange_a thing_n to_o see_v some_o who_o have_v be_v themselves_o a_o light_n unto_o other_o so_o now_o to_o shrink_v from_o god_n truth_n as_o that_o they_o shall_v become_v papist_n or_o of_o the_o family_n of_o love_n or_o of_o some_o other_o heresy_n the_o cause_n of_o this_o be_v because_o their_o inward_a stuff_n be_v corrupt_v and_o not_o full_o cure_v by_o effectual_a repentance_n and_o thus_o much_o of_o gross_a sin_n now_o of_o the_o infirmity_n of_o nature_n which_o remain_v ever_o in_o the_o best_a this_o inward_a infirmity_n corruption_n must_v be_v sell_v also_o for_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o leave_v outward_a and_o gross_a sin_n except_o also_o we_o beat_v down_o the_o inward_a corruption_n of_o our_o own_o nature_n and_o although_o corruption_n we_o can_v altogether_o blot_v out_o this_o our_o natural_a corruption_n yet_o the_o righteousness_n of_o christ_n may_v be_v so_o resident_a and_o dwell_v in_o we_o that_o it_o shall_v not_o only_o keep_v we_o from_o gross_a outward_a the_o child_n of_o god_n so_o long_o as_o the_o corruption_n of_o the_o nature_n reign_v in_o they_o so_o long_o do_v they_o burst_v out_o into_o some_o offence_n or_o other_o but_o most_o man_n make_v either_o little_a or_o no_o conscience_n at_o all_o of_o these_o little_a fault_n but_o it_o must_v be_v otherwise_o with_o we_o or_o else_o we_o can_v but_o displease_v god_n great_o for_o as_o a_o river_n dry_v up_o unto_o the_o fountain_n yet_o if_o we_o do_v rest_n from_o all_o empty_n of_o it_o it_o will_v increase_v again_o so_o except_o the_o child_n of_o god_n do_v keep_v down_o
